What they did is took an over-large Iguana, an turned the last half of the film into a Jurassic park rip off.. There were tons of way's to add more realistic-ness to Godzilla without entirely changing the character.
Hopefully the American Reboot will show Godzilla in his true nature, an battling other monsters

Jap Godzilla officially retired in 1995. But i guess since Toho got the big bucks for granting the rights to tristar. Then released the millenium series which they put some things from zilla to Godzilla like swimming(except in final wars). Mocking zilla in some of the films and then later to be destroyed

The only thing i could ever recall of Toho using Tristar's method is when the ocean emerges along with Godzilla, creating a huge dent in the water

The one is this movie is reffered to as G.I.N.O (Godzilla in Name Only). In Final Wars, it is officially named Zilla. The one in the cartton series in 1999 and 2000 is Zilla Junior and that is the strongest of the three creatures. Zilla Junior should fight Godzilla.

The one in Final was not Zilla Junior. That one was a new version of the creature that Toho designed. The skin colour was different and it had an acidic fire breath.

Everytime I go to that american godzilla vs godzilla video i get thumbs down because im a zilla fan. Japzilla i think is over exagerated on his abilitys with cheap cgi.

They did Zilla in crap CGI because most people including toho thought he was crap. The only other Godzilla film I can think of that even mentions Zilla is GMK when it is mention of a large reptilian creature attacking New York in 1998.

Toho can kiss my butt because zilla is not crap. I really think Toho is just jelous and is afraid that if we make another movie we will give the fans what they want and make zilla stronger and more like godzilla in the next movie that toho wont give us. Toho is afraid that their godzilla will look like crap (which it already does) when we give zilla super strength and give him a monster to fight and win against. (zilla jr already did this like 50 times already so why not make a movie with that)

No, the 1998 film WAS crap. GINO reminds me more of a Jurassic Park dinosaur than Godzilla. And there is no way GINO will ever be more powerful than the real Godzilla. Why? How did GINO go out again? Oh yeah, the military took him out. THE MILITARY! 28 fuckin movies, and the military didnt do shit to Godzilla. Hense why they dropped the "God" off his name, because he is not a Godzilla. He is not a God anything. He is Zilla, or more prefered, GINO; Godzilla In Name Only.

You dont get it, zilla is a great monster but he is NOT GODZILLA. The american version was a great monster movie (no doubt) but it didnt deserve its title. I loved the 1998 godzilla for a monster film but its not GODZILLA. And that is what the godzilla fans think aswell, good monster movie but it didnt deserve its title because it have nothing to do with the real godzilla

Jap Godzilla officially retired in 1995. But i guess since Toho got the big bucks for granting the rights to tristar. Then released the millenium series which they put some things from zilla to Godzilla like swimming(except in final wars). Mocking zilla in some of the films and then later to be destroyed

if i remember, Godzilla always emerged from the sea in just about every movie before the american one. Beside, if u mean visually seeing him swimming, i think there was one scene like tht in Godzilla vs Biollante, u actually see Godzilla swimming underwater. The only thing i could ever recall of Toho using Tristar's method is when the ocean emerges along with Godzilla, creating a huge dent in the water

The one is this movie is reffered to as G.I.N.O (Godzilla in Name Only). In Final Wars, it is officially named Zilla. The one in the cartton series in 1999 and 2000 is Zilla Junior and that is the strongest of the three creatures. Zilla Junior should fight Godzilla.

The one in Final was not Zilla Junior. That one was a new version of the creature that Toho designed. The skin colour was different and it had an acidic fire breath.

dude, zilla never had any fire breath or evan less atomic breath. In one scen in the american godzilla movie it looks like he breaths fire but he just roar at some cars that explode creating the fire

@Pepparmos actually his breathe was egnighted by the fires in the cars... his breathe had combustable abilities its just godzilla didnt have the ability to egnight his breathe although in godzilla the series his son godzilla jr had the ability to egnight his own breathe
