  • where is the turret in the cologne chatedral?

  • A turret I believe is a small tower - so the larger eight bells hang in the tall twin towers, but these three hang in a smaller tower.

  • No, the Angelus- and Wandlungsglocke was the first bells that ringing over Cologne. The Mettglocke founded in the year 1718. The Pretiosa and Speciosa was founded in 1448 and 1449.

  • The official site of Cologne Cathedral says that these three bells are the first three bells of Cologne Cathedral. I will research just to make sure, though.

  • Oh, yes you are right! The site gives the facts that only the Angelus Bell and Consecration Bell were founded as the earliest bells. The Vespers Bell was founded in 1718. I misunderstood what the site said. But, for some odd reason, the site has only facts about the Vespers Bell and no other information on it.
