  • I didn't know we did flurpies in crossfit

  • To add, I'm not an uneducated cat drinking the Kool aid, I have a degree in Exercise Physiology and a NSCA-CPT.... Crossfit us what I have been looking for, being a trainer I also realize not ALL my clients want to work that hard so I train them differently, but for someone who thinks they are "fit" or like working hard just try Crossfit for a week or month... Bet you love it!!!

  • What's with all the haters... I have been around sport/fitness for a long time. Crossfit is a really functional form of exercising, and it can be scaled for any fitness level!! Sho cares if the top people have military or sport background.... Those people are the type that Crossfit was designed for... Teams (group workouts) and competition, I was a football player for 15 years, and I just recently started Crossfit workouts but I love the way it makes me feel.... I'm getting L1 certified soon!!!

  • Awesome to see Kyle Maynard, wrestlers for life baby!

  • Haha was the handstands suppossed to be impressive?

  • anyone know who is the girl at 1:35?

  • Could someone send me/ link me some crossfit basics for beginners. I`m not so good at english so pictures and videos vould be nice. TNX in advance!

  • just watched this video, love it , three days grace a absolutely rad choice for the music, now im going to the gym right now. cheers.

  • Three day grace rules!

  • GAY

  • Mkay I am just going to put it out there for anyone dumb enough to think that someone solely doing crossfit could ever touch competing in the games...you are stupid. Sorry, it's true. Most all of these people and all games competitiors have an athletic background or a military one. Take your pick.

Crossfit does not equal the answer...but it is better than nothing.

  • @SufferingIsProgress Seeing as how Crossfit hasn't become popular until recently, is it really surprising that most top competitors are former athletes or military personnel? Its redundant to say that they would have an advantage in Crossfit.. they would have an advantage going into any sport being that they actually have ANY sports background at all. You're comparing trained athletes vs. untrained individuals... how does that make sense?

  • @SufferingIsProgress I agree that crossfit may not be "the answer", but what is? The crossfitters who feel that it is the end all be all of all fitness are likely incorrect, but it gets them active and in shape: something many people sorely need. Also, give the new generation of crossfitters time to train. Many of these Crossfit Games competitors have been training for 10+ years. In time, people who crossfit as a sport will give the games competitors a run for their money.

  • @rks91 Seeing as you took my comment out of context I will let your inability to realize my point slip. Main point is don't drink the 'Kool-aid' There are much better things out there with a lot more history and qualifications.

  • @SufferingIsProgress so why don't you suggest some of those things to us instead of ragging on crossfit? what things are better? I'm genuinely interested, if it'll improve me workouts then I'd love to hear it.

  • Continued on.... Clean and jerk my weight being 70kg)

I can see where Jason is coming from with the handstand walking however that is why most crossfit gyms have gymnastic skill days where they attend a local gymnastics facility and learn gymnastics skills :)

And by doing crossfit you develop the strength, balance, co-ordination, and motor skills needed to handstand walk :) so it is possible, if said person were brave enough, to learn to handstand walk through purely crossfit, I have seen it

  • Ahahaha this Jason guy's a complete douche...

I've been doing crossfit for about 5 months now, before that I only did body weight exercise to supplement my parkour and climbing, I refused to do weights from fear it would produce "useless muscle" As we see with body builders and juicers, however As crossfit only uses functional movement I have found myself improving dramatically in all my sports.

Also I've never touched steroids but I can put excess of my own body weight overhead, (75kg clean

  • Is there an area if this work out for people that r totally out of shape and want to work their way into shape?

  • @jnjministries

all crossfit gyms and wods can be scaled to any fitness level. I've only been at it 6 months. the difference in what I'm capable of is my constant motivation to keep going. good luck!

  • That Jason44231 guy is a dumbass. I learned to do a handstand and walk on my hands doing crossfit. If he thinks they are on steroids, he's never done crossfit in his life.

  • @jazzmaster897 I don't think that the average crossfitter is anything but misled. Like yourself. The best crossfitters are on steroids, otherwise, they would be sloppy built and unimpressive like yourself. As far as crossfitters walking on their hands, a truly strong and impressive display of hand walking is unlikely to come from pure cross-fit workouts.

  • @jason44231 you're really good at trolling man. Saying all the best crossfitters are on steroids is just you trying to ignore the fact that hard working human beings can accomplish these workouts, without the help of steroids. Maybe if you get off your computer and try some, you may notice a difference in yourself, physically and mentally.

  • @jason44231 Accomplishing the workouts was never the issue. I am merely pointing out that the best examples of crossfit either use standard weight training heavily or take steroids. Crossfit is just a finishing technique. It isn't the meat and potatoes.

  • Great Vid!!!! Ive been crossfiting for about 3months now and love it!!!!!

  • Anyone who thinks crossfit doesn't work just give Fran a try she'll shut you up! I love crossfit and live for the WOD's of doom! Bring on the burn. Joy of crossfit is it trains you mentally and physically :D

  • @theslayer911 haha yeah matt

  • Not very sustainable or smart to damage your hand that badly, going to be out for a few weeks.

  • @papapapajohn you heartless bastard! Leave Kyle alone!! Hehe funniest comment so far:)

  • powerlifting>>>>>>>bodybuilding>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>crossfit

lift heavy phaggots. whats the point of crossfit

  • @Smalltownkid096 crazy endurance, recovery, strength and much more

  • @Smalltownkid096

Obviously you didn't watch the video.

Can you jerk 295 lbs? strict press 200? do a 173lb weighted pull up? doubt it very seriously.

Ever heard of Louie Simmons? Westside barbell? Because he is involved in CrossFit as well.

Don't hate what you do not understand!

  • Ego training and nothing more.

  • @jason44231 we meet again..

  • @jason44231 haha dumbass just because your pussy ass cant do any of this. have fun with your bicep curls..

  • @alex4011 The only crossfitters who are much of anything are either obviously on steroids or spend a considerable time doing traditional training programs. Why? Crossfit is workout icing with no cake.

  • @jason44231 obviously on steroids? are you stupid? look at any of the top crossfit athletes. none of them do steroids its obvious to tell by their bodies. there are no ridiculously huge crossfitters so i dont know who you are referring to there lmao. Dont speak if you dont know what youre talking about/ and or give crossfit a try/

  • @alex4011 I am not stupid, but clearly, you are. Otherwise, there would be no debate.

  • @jason44231 can you show me one crossfitter that uses steroids? god you are fucking RETARDED

  • @alex4011 Basically, all the guys who were lifting significant amounts of weight over their body weight over their heads are on steroids. Also, do you think that a guy who can snatch 405 learned it in crossfit class? How about the gymnast? Do you think that she learned to walk on her hands across the room from crossfit? The answer is no? Bottom line, the best examples of their program that crossfit can provide are people who are on steroids or do other things.

  • @jason44231 Thats a complete load of shit! i personally know some of the guys who are not overly featured in this video who are the CrossFit Elite! they do those movements, if you saw it in this video, it was in a crossfit box. Nobody said they can do a 405lb snatch? thats olympic weightlifting standard, 475 is the world record! Gymnasts can walk on their hands, but that girl was a crossfitter who learned to do that as do many crossfitters... Just because YOU CANT doesnt mean WE CANT!

  • @loccybassman90 Please, send me their names. I will look them up on social networking sites and find out their real backgrounds. There are a number of snatch records. They run by weight class. Which are you specifically referring to?

  • @loccybassman90 Still, even if you do actually know these people and they are exceptional because of crossfit only. Let's not let the exception prove the rule. The truth is that most crossfiters are quite underwhelming.

  • @jason44231 wow youre an idiot hahaha have fun curling at your local 24/7 gym and getting know where in life. your probably not even flexible enough to get perallel or touch your feet. actually with your gut you probably havnt seen your pussy in a couple years.

  • @mxxxpwr I can do a full split. What about you? You are obviously have no idea what you are doing. You are motivated by what propaganda rather than fact. LOL

  • @alex4011 Crossfitters who aren't on steroids or doing other things are known as little b1tches.

  • @jason44231 haha ok retard go die you chink

  • Rythmnsmoke I got your reply. I do admire your will to kill maim and torture all those around you. But what I'm saying is that it's nothing special. There are plenty of people all over the world capable of torturing , killing and even eating your ass, who have no cross-fit or martial arts experience!!!

Why do you Cross-fitters think you are the worlds only cold blooded killers. You're not the only people who fuck and kill their children, and you don't need cross-fit to be a good rapist!!!

  • Amen. Great Video.

  • This is so inspirational! If you think you can not do CrossFit...Check out the guy with no arms and legs, check out the old guy, check out the overweight women...its all mind over matter!

  • Thumbs up for the quadriplegic at 1:53! He should be an inspiration to us all! Mad love for that guy!

  • Looks like I'm canceling my gym membership and joining Cross Fit. Need to get my agility back for Martial Arts.

  • Really so in other words you are too much of a bitch and can't do it on your own? That is just what you said. Let me tell you what crossfit is...you just go until you can't go anymore and you can't do that on your own? It's because you are a fucking vagina. I can't push myself hard so I need to do crossfit which employs dangerous made up exercises and super-sets. Hey ninjina go play some more video games...you never had the mentality to be a pro athlete in anything.

  • @PremiumWater Is it necessary to disrespect people over the internet? I've been training in Martial Arts for 16yrs now, hardly from being a bitch for starters. I have a competitive nature in me naturally. When I visit my regular gym, I can have my boy roll with me to give me that competition, but he is but one guy. Crossfit is like competition and it is very similar to my Martial Arts training schools....only for fitness. You can compete against other people and participate in competitions

  • @PremiumWater I have the Power Training book which is basically the same thing as Crossfit. Training for Power and explosiveness is not found in simply lifting weights and Crossfit is the same thing as the book I have on Power Training. I also have Bruce Lee's training guide which is also the same thing, training for Power and not big muscles that are useless since we don't spend our day heavy lifting objects. Like sparring, doing it by myself isn't as much fun as beating the other guy.

  • @rhythmnsmoke Don't tell me. Just go ahead and beat Mike Tyson's records. Power, speed and the will to kill come from genetics, environment and some training. But Cross fit wont cut it without those other attributes......

  • @Procharmo I have been a Martial Artists for 16yrs now. I don't hold back.

  • @rhythmnsmoke Come on man. Are you saying you want to hunt down anyone who suggests you aren't the fittest most evil mass killer ever. There's plenty of people who have killed children, women and men just like you. It's no big deal. That is unless you wanted to frighten me thru the net!!! But even if I cowered behind my PC how would that help you. You are a killer not a bully!!!

  • @Procharmo What are you even talking about dude. Grow up and stop thinking Martial Arts is about bashing people and killing. I wasn't even talking about YOU in my comment. Martial Arts in and of itself is humbling and the greater side of it is spiritual. It is not all about snapping a guys neck.

  • @rhythmnsmoke You were the one who said you won't hold back. That doesn't sound like one who is comfortable in his own skin. Threats like that make you sound like someone who itching to test out his ability to dish out pain. It's a shame the only pain you can dish out on the net involves the brain...Don't get me wrong I love Crossfit, and martial arts. But threatening the unknown can make you feel guilty. How do you know I'm not in a wheel chair? Or would you still beat me!!!

  • @Procharmo "Hold back" as in there isn't a level I won't go to to protect myself or my family. Not hold back like I'm about to beat you up. I'm a grown man, I don't need to threaten people over the internet. You commented that the will to kill was genetic (which it is not, but anyhow), implying that I somehow didn't have it in me. I said I wouldn't hold back especially after all the years of training I've had. It had NOTHING to do with making a threat. Understand now?

  • @PremiumWater - Tell me one exercise that has absolutely no basis and i'll believe you that Crossfit has "made up exercises". I've done these workouts for over a year and spent 6 months researching the methods before that. Everyone one of these exercises promotes physiological responses far and above what you'd get out of 3 sets of 10 at 75% 1RM.

  • @rhythmnsmoke its really expensive unless u do it by ur self

  • @smokeyfantastico Yea sorta. Seeing significant results after only a month (2 times a week), it's well worth it. Its cheaper than the Martial Arts schools I went to though..

  • It's funny that people pay 150 dollars a month to do circuit training they could do in a a regular gym for 30 a month. Oh and the "jerk your body up" kipping pull ups are laughs too.

  • @biggamejames79 I got some news for you bub, globos (i.e. Gold's, Anytime Fitness, Snap Fitness and the rest of their ilk) don't want us in there. Regarding the "kipping pullups" the main reason for it is not to isolated the lats biceps and back muscles but to produce power and speed. if you cared to actually try some of these things instead of just bash them you might understand.

  • @safetyman350 - Well kipping definitely is faster than just pulling up using your back and arms, so I agree with you on "producing speed". But for power, that's like saying doing a barbell curl with a light weight like 20 pounds as fast as possible, while leaning back on every rep to make it easier and do it faster, builds more power than curling 100 pounds slowly using just the arms. It doesn't compute. Me doing 15 regular pull ups requires much more power than 30 kipping reps.

  • @biggamejames79 - You forget the definition of power (in mathamatical terms Power = Force X Distance / Time). The goal of Crossfit is not to "isolate specific muscles" but to create overall fitness. If I wanted to isolate my back muscles in order get a stronger pullup then I would agree that doing strict pullups would be the key. If you want to get strong and "buff" then keep doing what you're doing. If you want to get fit, you should probably give Crossfit a shot. You won't be disappoointed.

  • @biggamejames79 Who else stopped reading this post after they saw Bicep Curl?

  • and apparently they do crossfit in the rest of the world too

  • 1:16 wow

  • 1:56-2:00 range of motion was bullshit

  • ending! two thumbs up!

  • @30039103c haha yeah i bet your a globo gym rat arntcha

  • @30039103c Haha, you don't know CrossFit at all. I'd like to see you do 100 burpees with 3 clean n' jerks every minute at the minute in 18 minutes or less. Until then, I don't think you can look down on CrossFit.
