The trouble with all of these is that if you buy one, your non-geek friends will think you're deeply lame and sad. But I like the tech, and if somebody comes up with one of these 'companion' robots that has even ONE practical application, they'll be on to something. For example, if I can move little robot's limbs to program her to dance, how about a slightly bigger robot that I can program to take my clothes out of the washer and put them in the dryer?
