@slvmnr Had a problem with the circuit board.It was covered including shipping and insurance.Every machine i got from where i ordered them was faulty.Next one i'll try someone else. That gal was excited to see that ring.You can't place a value on something before it is lost.She had a good beach memory to take home! It goes deep enough for most of us.Maybe some youngsters can dig deep all day.But not me.It'll hit big objects at two feet.Usually a can or an old scrap pipe.

@icollectstuffdude Yeah,i sent it in last week.Should get there tuesday.Already miss it.Used the DFX,but i already got used to that big coil.Had to remind myself to make smaller swings all the time.Hope it gets back before my sister comes from central texas.She misses the beaches.And i plan on taking her and my detector.She can hunt for shells.I got the rest covered! LOL!

@justanotherpulltab Yeah,i would imagine,quite a few people may look for their ring for some time,but have to give up,and go back home.And we definitely have lots of tourists,that will not be back here to look for it again.She would have had to give up eventually.

Great new machine! Hey, I can't help but wonder if you are running the coin, the crow bar over your coil with your golden wedding ring on your hand? Could the light be responding to the ring on your hand and still discriminating out the coin and crowbar? The only reason I ask, is it seems every other time I go out hunting I forget to take off my ring and only realize it after the first target dug! LOL! You would think I would remember, but I don't!

@GrizzlyGroundswell No,i was using my right hand.It won't light up except for the middle light all day.But i have too many water hunts i am fixing to do.I will be digging everything any ways.This week alone is spring break.Our beaches are loaded with people.I'll wait until i hit a slow time and send it in for repairs.I had to get this machine quick to make sure i could hunt this week at the beach.You never know.May not find any gold.But no telling what i will find this week?

The only problem I had was keeping the toggle in the all metal mode.  The boot was so stiff it would jump back to disc all the time.

@mowerdog It is possible they made a softer boot.But the switch feels tight.May start doing it as your switch loosens a little from wear.You could detect without the lights.But good to have it working properly.

@garbageguru1 I found the BHID was a great machine. I had mine hip mounted but then you couldn't see the lights. You need the lights in all metal mode. So I ended up just mounting the box back on the shaft. I really think they should put the lights on both sides and top. This way no matter how you mount it you can still see them.

@mowerdog Yeah,that would be a good idea! It definitely goes deep in the ground.A foot is one thing in a park digging.At the beach it is another story.If you had a target much deeper in the water,not sure if you could reach it with the water pushing the sand back in it.Goes deep enough for me anyway.I'm happy with its detecting depth!

@silvercoincollecter That is where you are mistaken.That is just a quick video i put together.You missed all the rest of the coil problems with the larger coil.It was definitely broken.

Way to go on finding her ring :) sorry your having trouble with the new detector you did get a lot of stuff so it must be working i get coin reading on bottle caps and large metal i think thats normal but only been detecting about a year the other guys could tell ya for sure congrats on all the clad and best of luck on your next hunt :)

@MichaelSwan66 on my DFX they will show coins. every find laid out comes in as the middlle ring light on this machine.I can go by tones.But for $1000 you want the machine to work with the lights too.May send it to the whites dealer .Good thing on two year warranty.Probably have to pay shipping though! Oddly there is only three videos on the whites beachhunter 300.the two instructional videos are with the old loop that floated.These new ones are huge.It detects my scoop from two feet away.

@TejasDigger Yeah,i can't believe it.Won't be buying the next one from the same place.With that detector it is all rings! LOL! Felt good to help her out! A girl cleaning the beach said one guy found two rings yesterday.Guess it was just meant for me to help someone else out.That would have ruined that ladies vacation!Now she can be happy on it!

@farenheit1100 Yeah,they were looking for a while.With the big coil i found it in 20 seconds.Amazing how hard it is to feel a ring in the sand!
