  • Great video! All cars should be so versatile.

  • I saw my first Amphicar about 45 years ago, at Pier 76, in Westbrook, CT.

My friend has one & his brother has 2 of them.

They went for a ride, one night about 11pm, at Crystal Lake, in Ellington, CT, and someone say the car go in the water WITH the head lights & called the Fire Dept.

    Ha.

    Carl Slicer, Vernon, CT

  • they range alot in price depending on how good the body is and what not. my dad owns one and its absolutely amazing, its always a rush driving into the river.

  • how expensive are they I have been looking fo one and cant even find one for sale

  • the brakes dont get ruined in water because they're designed to hold up. they dont work for about 15 mins when you get out of the lake though

  • I want one

  • Cubans were the first people to make one that they used to get to florida they added 3-4 propelers and that were other people got there ideas

  • I've always wanted an older amphicar. How much did you pick it up for?

  • I saw one recently at a classic car auction in perfect condition for $30,000

  • I saw a new version of a swimming car that cruises right a long.. gets up on a plane if i recall it was reasonably priced. also if i recal correctly it stated that people didn't buy the older ones so they couldn't stay afloat in business... pun intended hehe haha corny ok

  • My mother has two of these amphicars and I hope soon we can put them back in the water.

Good to see it in the water.

  • Do you have to worry about moving around very much when you are in the water? These things are awesome

  • Great video which we have added to our collection at missvideos(dot)com

  • Haha my dad just got one of these

  • amphibious cars rule max

  • I want one!

  • Cool car mang :) And you mastered getting it back on land with no help!!!

I had one, put a V4 engine in it, and sunk it :P Nobody told me the bow acts like an airfoil.

  • Have you seen the Top Gear episode about amphibious vehicles? Check it out. Congratulations on keeping it going:)

  • Strange but true. I saw one drive into the water and swim off. And the Stewarts of Anchorage, RIP, drove one down the Yukon River. Search for stewart's photo amphicar. They had photos in their shop for years.

  • ma dio cristo!

  • lol, This is just weird and funny...

    But also cool :P

  • If you'd spent 3 years restoring a floating car you'd hope it floats too!

  • you guys are going to slow!

  • hehehe they dont go much faster than that!

  • i know that they dont go much faster, but splash dives are more fun then dinky 2 miles per hour, gotta get it going up to like 25 mph for it to be a fun water entry

  • hell yeah

  • yay, it floats!
