really liking these podcasts. we (my buddy and I) discuss this stuff all the time. I rarely take lead shots just because I've had too many fish turn 180 right as I'm pulling the trigger. But when I do lead I think of aiming like this: 1" lead for every 1' of distance between the fish and my shaft point.
@HItoNZ I think there's flinchers and runners. Rois and goats are flinchers- no need to lead (unless the goat is really on the move, then short lead due to the 0.1 second trigger delay). Uhus and jacks are runners- they are probably just going to speed up and go straight ahead when scared.
Very valuable info - hopefully this adjustment will help me reduce fish ripping off.

I once had 5 uhus and 2 mus rip off on me on one dive, now i know what im doing wrong!
