can anybody who owns this helicopter tell me how the servos and the motors connect to the receiver (in which plugs) because i bought a new receiver and don't know how they should connect.
The 22E is highly critical on setup. It is best flown first tethered with training kit and with reduced collective pitch. The aim is to master the hover. Once this is done - its quite easy. The upgrade rotar improves things a lot. It may not be the best begginers 3D heli, but for value for money you cannot fault it.
Personally I would not buy a walkera. They seem very unstable and difficult to fly. They are cheap but thats for a reason. I would get a better quality heli and you won't get discouraged while learning. The 6 channel heli all function the same basically but better electronics and conponents wil give you better quality time with your heli. I set out to prove I could fly this and did not succede and I believe it's due to the poor quality of a cheap heli. I had a great time learning though.
The LIPO battery is better because it has more voltage which under high stress conditions of flying will provide more power and the "mAh" will provide a longer flight time. You should consider putting in motors rated for that battery since you chance burning your motors up from over heating.
Ok thnx i'm not sure if i should get a 22e are they good? and wat battery do u have? and wat do u think the biggest battery size is u can fit on a walkera?
no!!! on a 4 channel heli you control the same as a 6 channel one. The only difference is you cant do 3d, because the pitch of the blades dont change. That means you cant go upside down. Trust me....a 4 channel is hard too. I would say to start off with a blade cp pro after a month or two on the sim.
After spending the money I have on new helis and repairs I agree with girrocks12345, learn on a sim first. It is very much like the real thing using a 4 or 6 channel controller. You may find out it's not for you.
With the 4ch version you only control up, down, with throttle and left, right with tail rotor. It will always have forward movement you just change direction and height. They are much simpler to operate for beginners.
6ch combines function of pitch mixing with rotor head speed. You control all forward back left right movement plus tail direction. This will allow you to hover in place rotate the heli 360deg. and free flight. Hard to adjust to the controls but rewarding when you master it. It is best to practice with software you can plug your radio controller into your computer with, or you will be buying lots of replacement parts. I have the 6ch and do not regret it.
dont get the 22e unless your up to a BIG challange i have one its my first helicopter and its friiken hard to fly TRUST ME your better off geting the walkera #4 as a starter and mastering that before you get the 22e 36 60 68
i just got a walkera dragonfly 22e and it does not say how to put the training kit on it is there anyway you can tell or show me in a vedio. this would help me alot. thank you very much.
im a starter and for his 1st flight that was good because the 22e is one of the hardest
choppers for a 1st timer i have got hardly any hair left due to this chopper ubt its a GREAT hobby for anyone who buys this all i can say is buy extra parts as in 2 of everything and im not joking mind you i am learning in a space of about 6ft by 5ft with 2 dogs in the way oh and my girlfriend so i guess that makes it 3 then hehheh
you may need a bigger place to take off(not in your living room). Go outside when the wind is gone, or go to a big hall or someting, its more easy then. I have one of that helicopter to.
Your right, I was just going to get used to the controls but now i'm getting crazy thinking I can learn to hover in such a small area. I tried it outside last night and did much better, no crashes! Any tips for beginners like me are welcome. Do you belong to any forums?
