  • If it is a birth day feast with 2.5 million people in Jerusalem, so why the Messiah has been born in Bethlehem rather than in Jerusalem???

  • You are taking the Torah and the prophets completely out of context. Do you realize that in the Torah it goes into extreme detail with what the Jews can and can't eat, not to mix wool and linen, and the exact dates when He wants His festivals celebrated... And yet... in the "new testement" there is absolutely no mention of any such exact dates. It is all left up to whatever interpretation you can come up with. So do me a favor and leave my book alone

  • For even Kepha/Peter stated the "His booth came and dwelt with us, thus saying that the Savor come/born on the Feast of Booths

  • The first of Oct. could make it Yom Teruah.

  • "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female but ALL are ONE IN Christ Jesus...". Worship Him however you will, but know this, He is our feast, He is our ALL in ALL. As always, worship is in the heart of the believer and not in the process of their worship.

  • Jesus is the Christ, the Mesisah, the Holy One of Israel and He fulfilled all the Law and the Prophets and the feasts

were shadows of "things to come...", and they pointed to Jesus Christ. Why would we hold on to shadows and not totally embrace the One to Whom they ALL pointed?

  • And the OT teaching that the Old Covenant was going to pass away and that they would no longer remember, or talk about, the coming out of Egypt but that God would make a New Covenant and it would include ALL people, Jew AND Gentile; and what God has called clean call not thou unclean.

  • All I know is, Pastor Mark was NOT and eye witness nor a close associate of His eyewitnesses, and THEY did not mention the Feast of Tabernacles concerning the birth of Jesus. Yes, Jesus was of the lienage of the House of David for the purpose of fulfilling prophecy but when He came, "...His Own received Him not...".

  • This man is insane.

  • This is pure speculation and conjecture, its NOT biblical without reaching. Jesus birth was NOT a big party, only 3 people knew and came to give him blessings, the others were looking for Him to kill Him. PLEASE don't interpret the bible the way YOU want to, thats very dangerous for you, I pray that HIS truth becomes known and you accept it. Glory to YHVH !

  • @Vendola3 . Interptret? In the Hebrew of Bereshith/Gen 1:1 His birth was foretold that He would come in 4000 years o9n the 15th of Tishri.

  • NOTHING is mentioned in the accounts of the birth of Jesus about the Feast of Tabernacles although the theory is very interesting we MUST believe God's Word; we can't just make up our own Gospel story. I do think we can believe that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, fled to Egypt and returned to Nazareth in time to go to Jerusalem for Mary and fro Jesus to fulfill the rites requried by Jewish law. Jesus was no more than 30-33 days old at this time.

  • @Penfire222ify Yes, His birth is mentioned in the Newer Testament, in the Gospel of John. But let's go further, Yeshua is Jewish - NOT Gentile. Yeshua came for the Jewish people & therefore fulfilled and will fulfill all of the L-rd's feasts. Notice that the Bible doesn't say Jewish Feast. You are missing a HUGE amount of info because what you know of Him is out of the CONTEXT of His time on earth. Pastor Mark is right - it's on you to take each piece w/ a HUMBLE heart, & search it out.

  • @Penfire222ify The Savior left with His parents to Egypt when He was about 2 years old. Read Luke the apply Matt. to help fill in the blanks of "Now for the rest of the story"

  • Jesus was born in Bethlehem and I believe that they went to Egypt about the same time as th Wise men left Bethelehem. I believe that they got back during the time frame for Mary to go to Jerusalem for the Purification rites of Mary and for Jesus' dedication at 30-33 days old,

  • Jesus was born IN Bethlehem, as prophecied, so how could they be in a "tent" in Jerusalem.

  • @Penfire222ify The feast of Booths, read up about it. born the 1st day of the Feast of Booths, 15th of Tishri

  • I knew most of this but there were a few really good insights to add to my knowledge. Will recommend to my friends

  • Which year are we talking about?

  • Have you looked at the hebrew calendar to see the dates?

  • I have a question: How is it that the feast of tabernacles could have been being celebrated if Caesar Augustus had required all the world to be taxed, and (for some reason) therefore required all the Jews to go to the cities of their ancestry, for Joseph, this being Bethlehem. If this is true, then the Jews could not have been congregating in Jerusalem, else they would be violating the decree of Caesar? Please explain for me as I want to understand this fully.

  • @conservativecanuck It was not to be taxed. It was to be registered a censis. Which the decree was ordered to be done during the Feast of Booths.

  • @79Torah The Greek word translated "taxed" in the KJV in Luke 2:1-4 literally means "from-written" and while it implies registration, the purpose was for taxation which is corroborated by secular history. Secular history also records that it took years before the Jews ultimately complied with this decree. My question remains however that if Jews had to return to their cities of origin, they could not have been in Jerusalem, as is the case with Mary and Joseph being in Bethlehem - not Jerusalem.

  • @conservativecanuck -> You say that "Secular history also records that it took years before the Jews ultimately complied with this decree" (to be counted/taxed in their cities of origin). So, where's the problem with them being in Jerusalem for the feast(s) a couple of times per year? Seems that you are contradicting yourself? ~ posted by a curious Canucker

  • @manitouwadge The census was required in 8 BC, but Herod seems to have been able to put it off for about 2-4 years until finally receiving a deadline. There were no Roman stipulations regarding going to one's own city, so this must have been a Jewish requirement under Herod that people go to where the records were kept - they were fastidious record keepers. So we still have a problem with two seemingly incompatible requirements. But if Mr. Biltz is correct, a solution may exist...

  • @conservativecanuck One can be taxed any ware, scripture has shown that. Roman history shows that it was to be registered. Found both in the Hebrew and the Aramaic.

  • @conservativecanuck It was not to be taxed, thats comes from the Greek, It was to be registerd,

  • @79Torah Sorry but that's just incorrect. Luke's gospel was only written in Greek, not Aramaic and not Hebrew. The word is "apographesthai" which is literally translated "to-be-being-from-written" and is best interpreted as "registered". So then it begs the question - to be registered for what? History records it as taxation, but if you don't agree, so what? It still doesn't solve the Mr. Biltz' problem of Jews being in their ancestral cities and yet being in Jerusalem at the same time.

  • @conservativecanuck Sorry, but your incorrect. Luke's account was in fact 1st written in Hebrew/Aramaic, then later translated into Greek. You need to do a better research on your facts. For found in the archives of Romes history and confirmed from the RCC, that it was a census. This is also a proven fact in Hebrew history and confirmed by Yosephus.

  • @79Torah Luke was a Greek-speaking Gentile - not a Jew. Any copy in another language was a translation of the original Greek. Just read the Greek manuscripts and it makes it so obvious. If the Greek is the translation, then why are the styles and vocabulary of the translations so massively varied? A first year Greek student can read John, but only a serious scholar can read Luke's Greek, seeing it's so sophisticated and almost classical versus Koine.

  • @conservativecanuck Also found in the archives of the RCC, is copies of the 4 accounts that was written in Hebrew

  • @79Torah Second, you have to distinguish between Hebrew and Aramaic - they are not the same. But I think every reply is ignoring or deflecting from my original point. Like I said, even if you don't believe it was for taxation - you still have the problem of people not being able to comply with both the Feast of Tabernacles and the ancestral home registration. Solve the problem. I'm not angry or anything, just interested in the truth and a possible harmonization of Mr. Biltz and Luke.

  • Dear Brethren,

I am very glad to see the Fellow Brethren in the Same Faith!

Thanks to our ABBA in the Name of Our Redeemer YEHSUA MESSIAH

  • Around 9:25 you say there was no room in the inn b/c there was 2.5 ppl in Jerusalem. They were in Bethlehem. Are you sure you meant to say Jerusalem?

  • @bethelshiloh Bethlehem is so close to Jerusalem the crowds would have spread to there. Hope that helps

  • @rujenta Thanks. That did help.

  • He was circumcised on the eight day thanks for showing me how this all fits in I will have to watch it several times.

  • This far exceeded my expectations in what I thought I would hear! I have always believed that Christ was born during the Feast of Tabernacles - as so many things that God does, He does in 3's ..

He tabernacled with the Jewish people in the deserts, leaving Egypt ..

He tabernacled in the flesh with us, in Yeshua, leaving our sins ..

He tabernacles with us for the 3rd time in His Kingdom, leaving the whole world behind .. leading us to His home in Heaven & peace on earth to men of goodwill!

  • Wow , I knew about Jesus' birth being around Sept-Oct but the feast of the tabernacle blew my mind, on the 8th day He shed his blood confirming the covenant to Abraham..., God is Amazing! And Mary had the Lamb of God..Praise Jesus. The word of God is so perfect as is our GOD.

  • @godislove633 Great commment! Amen :D

  • mark biltz helps me understand the Scriptures better by knowing the Hebrew culture and customs

  • One more thing: Bethlehem was the major source of lambs for sacrifice. They were, in a sense, pre-approved as without blemish because of their breeding. Jesus was born with the same lambs that were to be sacrificed. When he arrived in Jerusalem 33 years later, riding on a foal, he arrived as the lambs were being driven from Bethlehem to the Temple for the Passover Sacrifice.

  • Finally!...I can see, the real date of our Jeshua's Birth...Thank you for uploading this video message and explaining it much clearly. I am glad someone was will and able to show when my Jeshua was born......

  • @sungmee45 You are very welcome. All credit goes to Mark Biltz and ForAbba for posting this. It was in four parts. I put them together and placed it here on my channel. In the end, all glory and honor to our great Messiah, the King of Kings.

  • No way was He born on FOT. I know people are passinate about this, but no way was he born on FOT. Luke 2 clearly shows EVERYONE was traveling to their own town according to their tribe for a sensus, not gathering in Jerusalem for a Feast Also there was no room in the inn because people were traveling for the census. How can FOT in the Fall point to birth when Passover in the Spring, the 1st festival, points to death

  • @bethhallel That census was decreed to take place at that time,.In the Hebrew wisdom of the Hebrew of Bereshith/Gen 1:1 Shows the He would come in 4000 years on the 15th of Tishri, 1st day of Feast of Booths.
