Okay seriously....this is one of the CUTEST minis I have ever seen!!! I LOVE MINIS. I also purchased those albums and cant wait to get started with YOUR help...LOVE the feathers and all the little details you added!!!
I love your glove mini! I started one and then just got stuck.....THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing...you did a beautiful job on the album as well as explaining the techniques you used! Thank you!
Love, love, LOVE this mini! You have inspired me to get mine done. I picked this mitten mini up at Michaels and I have just let it sit here! So, so cute!!
I was using the Stampin' Up! sanding blocks too until I was in Sally Beauty Supply one day and saw a huge package of the relatively same sanding blocks for a 1/5 of the price. The kind they use for acrylic nails. Hope that helps. I was just going through them so quickly and at like $3.95 for a pack of 2 at SU it was getting to be too much. Thanks for the great mini album Sil. You always do first-class work!
Cute mini! I love that paper line so much. I love those turkey feathers, wish we had Target here. I was reading your comment about sanding your minis with sandpaper. Have you ever tried the file set from basic grey. They are awesome and come with a variety of different sized files. Looking forward to your santa hat mini. TFS!
Thanks!! It did help!! I thought that was the answer but I wasn't sure HAHA.. I'm sort of "new" to scrap booking.. I like mini albums rather than 12x12, and I always think of questions that I never know the answer to! And I always try to ask other youtube scrap bookers but they never really answer.. : / Thanks again!
This is really Cute!!! I know this is probably a weird question, but I have always wondered and I think I know the answer but I just wanna ask a pro!! :] LOL. How do you cut the paper down to the same shape as the mitten? I wonder how people do it because I always see many different album shapes with the same shaped paper lol!! GREAT VID! THIS IS A FAVORITEE!:]
So pleased that you liked it! Not a wierd question at all.....well, what I do is I put the chipboard shape on top of the designer paper and trace it, then I cut it out, glue it and to give it that perfect blend, I sand it with a sanding block. I use the Stampin Up sanding blocks, but you can find an inexpensive small sanding block at your local hardware store, make sure it's "fine" texture. Hope this helps!
Sorry....I'm making so many comments....I c omment as I'm watching but posted it too soon! I saw that Santa hat and didn't know what the heck to do with it....I love what you've done so far! Where at Target did you find those turkey feathers? They really make both your minis so fun!!!
Absolutely adorable! I bought a bunch of mini's from Michael's too and one of them was the mitten album. I'm working on it and hopefully it comes out as pretty as yours.....
Such a great job.. I also had purchased a few of the $1 Christmas albums from Micheal's but have yet to do anything with them. I love the turkey feathers that you used. Did you find that in the Christmas section of Target? Very cute....
Thanks! I found it in the holiday section, where they have all the christmas decorations, the isle where the wrapping paper, bows and gift embelishments are.
this is tooooo cute, i love all the touches you put in it, i get super lazy and i forget about all the stuff i have and forget to use it lol, can't wait to see your next vid
Thanks for commenting...I know what you mean, I forget what I have sometimes, and then when I come across it, I think, I should have used this or that....
