  • I will stand with my soul surrendered to you my LORD Jesus!

  • kool

  • @Shadrach76 dude quit bustin peoples balls man. Whatever you may be,Muslim,Jew,atheist, ect. I respect that because that your religion. Have enough respect to do the same for us Christians.

  • @PrivateSnowball45 sorry princess, i didnt know i was hurting your feelings by asking questions and challenging your faith...i guess it cant stand up to a little scrunity without hitting a few nerves and im sorry i exposed you to that.

  • @Shadrach76

I forgive you & pray for you.

I was once like you, cynical & angry, now I am free : )

  • @wixler00 you dont know me so dont claim to understand who or what i am, you pompus doucheknuckle.

p.s. prayers are easy and do nothing. stop being lazy and do SOMETHING.

  • Glory to God! Thank you Lord!

  • lovely buddy!, never give up-- Rino

  • WOW !!! ... feeling blessed even @ work,praise the Lord!!!

  • WOW !!! ... feeling blessed even @ work,praise the Lord!!!

  • It blows my mind how on every page involving a Hillsong song there are always comments bashing my savior and people arguing why God is or isn't real.. So let me ask all you who don't believe, this question, your obviously here on this page for a reason, so what is it? If your so against us then why even be here? Why is it that our God sparks anger in you guys? Id say conviction comes as a smack in the face to those who harden their hearts towards Christ. Jesus is the truth, and the truth hurts.

  • God is amazing and beautiful and perfect<3

  • @lsuman97 "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (NIV) I love that verse

  • orthodox..

  • I think that that big screen shouldn't have the band on it.... It should have the one who made the band possible on it. Just a thought..=]

  • @somedaysoon95 You mean Jesus?

  • @Historymaker2001 Yes I do. Sorry that I didn't make that clear=]

  • @Historymaker2001 Yep! Yep I do! (did I already respond? If I did, I forgot....this is embarrassing....)

  • What he did say before to start to sing?

  • @macknamam I think he said "We'll be singing this song for a long time"

  • amazing....

  • I've heard this song at my church! :D

  • Hallelujah

  • That's a beautiful song. Going into my worship collection. I'll stand!!

  • i think i was here!....somewhere totally in the back ....but i was there!! AND IT WAS AWESOME! I still sing this song every praise/worship night! Even tonight!

  • Sing this sond and feel the Holy Spirit filling your Heart! Amazing song! Thank you MWS.

  • - Michael W. Smith is a good guy, thank God for his music and the work he did, but man... he needs to get more innovative and creative. just some creative criticism from a fellow Christian Worship leader from the United States.

  • Too bad he can't sing; hes destroyed one the best worship songs; Darlene comon take over... i'm saying this in good faith guys; but gee can't stand this voice.

  • Comment removed

  • @richyboy12

yup. Michael W. Smith sounds so corny singing this song, and his voice is so lame. He ruined this song. Why the heck does he only sing the chorus of "The Stand"? The rest of the song is good too. No wonder the American Christian music scene is struggling, we have unwise people making weird decisions. Australia has a more Free Market.

Hillsong's Music department is run like a professional Business, not a Charity. that's why they succeeded. Free Market Capitalism. Church,Try it!

  • @richyboy12 does it matter to God whether the song sing it gd or bad..... i can sing out of tune for this song and i sing with heart out. God will still be pleased with me

  • @zhouy13 Well... no, it shouldn't. But when the song becomes about Michael Smith, the artist, rather than Michael Smith singing for worship, i have an issue with that. When Hillsong United perform this song it is for the worship of God - its pleasant; you can feel the song and get into the worship moment... sorry this is just annoying, more so that is all about Smith not God.

  • @richyboy12 agreed...

  • @richyboy12 Its amazing that you would actually accuse MWS for making this song all about him. If Hillsong has the integrity of worshipping to this song then why would they sing with him? Your giving christianity a bad name and it pisses me off that you would sit there and judge someone who has made a huge impact on the kingdom for Jesus for many years. I am sorry for others who have to read us believers arguing about something as stupid as this when people are dying every day.

  • @richyboy12 I wish I could press the thumbs up button more than once. I AGREE. Glory to Yahweh!

  • @zhouy13 you go god doesnt care if you sing when you r having a coughing issue or even if you cant talk and u can only talk,And you have to drum and say you suck at drumming it doesnt matter to god even if u r stomping as long as u r putting you effort in to it.

  • I love this song our god is awesom!!

  • Powerful song. There is power in praise. He inhabits the praise of His people. Thanks for posting.

  • Jesus gave it all for us!!! Thank you Jesus, we dont deserve what you did for us! <3

  • I cry as i sing this song. Thank you Jesus

  • simply amazing...I love this version withMichael W. Smith

  • This version is crap.

  • When i listen to this song i feel a supernatural joy! =D

  • Comment removed

  • Trust Hillsong to try and hog the limelight. Rather pathetic, considering you cant even hear Nana Darlene.

  • @goldenscales what?!

  • @leftwingersareweak Watch the vid. Do you see Nana Darlene trying to work the crowd? Didn't work, because they weren't there to see her, haha.

  • @goldenscales Darlene's mouth is so large she could easily take the whole microphone into her mouth and still lick the underside of it. I think she did that on another vid.

  • To me this version is more Powerful

  • @65Kokoloko Definitely. I like MWS, but Hillsong's version is way more powerful.

  • @animalsweare1 Hillsong's is very good...but the tempo drags a little. I like this slightly faster tempo...but that is just personal opinion.

  • ♥

  • My band used this as the theme song at a prayer retreat last year. This year's prayer retreat we wrote the theme song.

  • i love this song

  • I love ya MWS, but the Hillsong version is a bit better. Great song, though.

  • @animalsweare1 I dare say, the Hillsong version is WAY WAY WAY better. More power to it and more vocalists and not just one, like here, where only Michael seems to be singing. There's nothing like Hillsong United!

  • i love this song..very

  • Love This!!!!

  • Big ups, both video & song =)

  • i like the version by hillsong

  • vivir en Christo se siente cuando uno lo vive, que exelente lo de michael, saludos desde argentina

  • He sounds amazing

  • Truely an inspirtational song

  • This was in Holland!! I was there :-)

  • Gloria a Dios en todos los idomas to God be the glory!!! fron Carupano - venezuela

  • Bless them for worshiping the Lord.

    All I am is yours

  • WOW a dream come true!!!! God bless you all!

  • All i am is yours. Great song.

  • Great worship song!

  • Amazing Song .

Jesus Did Make It All .

    <3

  • @TheEyeOfThePanther Wrong. Read your bible, dude. It was GOD who made it all, remember Genesis 1v1? The Council of Nicea voted Jesus' divinity into being. Don't nobody actually READ anymore?

  • lord you are awesome

  • lovely..

  • wow.. i absolutely love this song.. it is so amazing.. may God Bless you all..

  • absolutely love the drummer when its just him playing basically.. warrior of JC!!

  • Even though we always run away from God, we always end up coming back to Him. There is no one like God. He is above all things:)

  • I love Jesus so much! God bless "Hillsong" and all of their music. May they keep writing songs till they die!

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's been over a week since I placed a hummingbird feeder on my window - the activity has been near-0.

I felt very overwhelmed by personal situations to what is happening throughout this world.

I prayed, Dear Jesus, if You are listening, send a bird to let me know Your presence. It was already getting dark & always quiet in the nearby canyons. Within minutes, a bird flew in & remained feeding for the longest time. I knew that my prayers were answered. God sent one at the perfect time.

  • Awesome!

  • Thank you. God is good all the time!

  • @jistenna Wonderful..God bless. Your little testimony encouraged me.

  • This is my favorite song to sing. All i am is yours. I will stand for the Lord

  • awesome! Praise God!

  • beautyful song all glory to God

  • I love all these little debates we have - i don't think it really matters... God doesn't mind, he understands, he loves us just the way we are...

  • Why are we so scared that God might not like what we are doing that we have to convince ourselves that parts of our behaviors are okay?

  • i will stand with arms high and heart abandoned ..who with me ..jesus is amazing he died for us and he rose again last is just amazing love dont you agree

  • ^^ ive been looking for this song XD i sang it at church and i love it :D ^^ GOD LOVES YOU <3 ^^

  • Oh its Great our God is really an Awesome God

  • Beautiful...stirring...Praise JESUS !!!

  • This song is awesome :)

    God Bless :)

  • as for Shadrach76 wanting proof. Just look at the world and the beauty of creation. The fact that the sun is perfectly positioned for life to exist on this planet. Any further away, or any closer, and life would not be possible. No way that happened by a fluke explosion(the big bang).

The Bible is not a book of proof, God isn't going to spoon-feed you, however it says in Job that the earth is a sphere which hangs on nothing. Thousands of years later, scientists proved this to be true

  • Yes thank u! also if i remember right, in Job he says that there is brimstone in hell..... thousands of yrs later scientists find out there is brimstone in the center of the earth!

  • how come i can't find this?

  • i herd this song at the fire confrince in calgary and it was then i really thought that Jesus had to make a choice and if i was the only one on this earth he still would have died for me so I WILL STAND ARMS HIGH AND HEART ABANDOND

  • Wow. Thanks for that comment it was very touching. And so true. Wow, what a God who loves us so much. Thanks again! :-)

  • This is a message to Shadrach76. Nice to see you again. In regards to your statements about "proof", if God wanted there to be scientific proof on his existence, not only would the world still not believe, but he'd be making it way to easy. Thats where faith comes in. And in regards to his teen years and twenties, you're right, the bible doesn't document this, but prophecy states that the messiah must be without sin. Again its a matter of faith.

  • I just cant stop listening to this one!!! My God! just 2 amazing sentences of total surrender!

  • Woo! Redhead! she pretty! Great song too!

  • Christa Black I think is her name. She's been on Smitty's band for a while. Of course that could also be one of the Hillsong musicians... dunno which one tho

  • she looks like the lead singer of Paramore with red hair and the head thing (i dont know how you call it in English)

  • esta super le pongo 100

  • Dude Shadrach76 is definitely right god is real and he will save us christians on the day of judgement because he commands our faith and the bible is proof, daan this is the truth and u know it

  • Got the names mixed up man, Shadrach is the one in a state of denial...

  • bueno bonito!!!!

  • amen

  • god bless. i love this song.

  • Hmms The reply button doesn't do his job. It was ment to Shadrach :)

  • I don't think I'll ever hear another song that touches my life quite like this one! It unites us all as Christians. I see it in people, this song just brings us all into a feeling of worship, where we give up all to Christ! Praise God!

  • Stand !(Rev 3;20;22)!Hold fast!(2Ti 1;7-13)the gift of grace be with us in Jesus name Amen.

Awesome praise. let it rain! Michael.W.S!!

    God bless

  • Muito bom,muito lindo,adorei

    Michael W.Smith é o melhor

  • Michael W Smith é o segundo melhor... porque o melhor é Deus, nao concorda irmao?

  • Beautiful! God bless you!

Check out another beautiful YouTube song/video that is based on Psalm 139: "Fearfully And Wonderfully Made - Voice Of The Children" as recorded by Sharon Morgan, at the age of 7. Yet another powerful reminder of the love of Christ and how we as believers need to stand firm for the truth of God's unchanging Word.

  • awesome!!!

  • beautiful song

  • There's just one thing that's bugging me, why if you are an atheist are you on a christian song site?

  • "why if you are an atheist are you on a christian song site?"

    - becky4792

you guys are great fun. i enjoy this kind of debate.

maybe its my way of "spreading the gospel" of reason and logic.

  • hey, im not trying to start anything, but i read some of your comments. It seems that you are looking for something logical. I don't know if you know who richard Dawkins is, but he made the claim that perhaps, life was delivered to our planet by highly-evolved aliens. I feel that if this prominent scientist has to offer an alternative to evolution, then there may be some holes, I also feel that if one is willing to believe in highly evolved aliens then a creator isn't all that far off

  • JDoo342, i saw that too. im open to anything if there is supporting evidence. if life was seeded on this planet by aliens, great, show me why you think that. if you think life arose through natural events, great, show me how. if you think a supernatural creature blew into some clay and made people, cool, show me how.

whats the point of science if anyone can just make stuff up and expect everyone to accept it as a real possiblity?

  • i like MWS but Joel Houston sings this song way better.

  • definately.

  • I love this man- and his songs-

  • This song gives me complete goosebumps. I LOVE it!

  • this song wants me to laugh hard, is so funny all these people getting caught up in the lie that is god

  • you could laugh all you want but just know that if you continue to maintain an attitude cynicism and pride, you'll never know the peace of God that His children know.

  • sorry to say i believe in people, not some imaginary entity..and as for your comment..arent we all supposed to be god children?? never mind, seems you cant acceptthe fact man evolved from apes which is a proven fact, unlike theexistance of god, noah, or any of the other stories found in the bible

  • evolution is a proven fact? provide me the information then, based on undisputed fact.

also, provide me information disproving the existence of God and noah and any other Biblical people.

  • your telling me some guy named noah made an arc that carried all 10 billion species that exist, and distributed them where they are supposed to live geographically?? Think about that logically

  • may i ask how you got the number "10 billion"? You're exaggeratering because you really have no solid evidence otherwise. There are millions of species of animals that could've survived the flood - it was the animals that couldn't God told Noah put on the *arK. Understand that the world looked quite different back then, thanks to natural disasters and the flood itself, so (cont.)

  • (cont.) we can't assume that animals indigenous to certain parts of the earth even needed to be "distributed", but rather migrated to a habitat it belonged to.

By the way, I'm still eager to hear your factual information that proves the theory of evolution.

  • hardrock that number is an approximation of he numbr of species by scinetists...using facts, unlike the ridiculous belief in an arc that could hold them all, which logically it couldnt in any way shape of form. and if that is an obvious lie, wonder what else in the bible is a lie...maybe the rest of it is nothing by stories as well, that is more than likely

  • using facts... dude am I just supposed to believe anything because "scientists somewhere used facts"? Facts that you and I don't even know have been actually accepted as true? Do you realize how gullible that sounds?

You make me want to thank God He requires faith from us, because there are so called scientists (and their gullible minions) that refuse to look beyond anything we can't wrap our heads around. Can you imagine trying to conceive in your mind an omipotent, omnipresent, eternal God?

  • No, it's symbolism. I am not sure whether this was just a story told about Noah to represent the ark as a symbol of Christ, as faith in Him is our safety from destruction due to sin. Noah did exist but this could have been a learning story for him as told by God to Noah.

  • "I'm still eager to hear your factual information that proves the theory of evolution."

    - hardr0ck

molecular biology, geology, genetics, biogeography, ethology, and biochemistry sciences ALL support evolution.

maybe you think these scientists got it all wrong and are wasting decades of their lives making your life better, but i dont.

  • Really? Because I've heard arguments WITHIN those sciences that would suggest intelligent design. The very complexity of the human body goes so far beyond just some random chance that we were formed with no blueprint whatsoever. Of course, many would completely disagree, only willing to accept a scientific answer but I'm just explaining that science can be and has been interpreted many different ways so it can prove to be an unreliable source, which is why I don't believe based on science.

  • I don't believe science either, look around you - made by accident??? As Einstein himself said; Science without religion is meaningless

  • becky4792, i dont think you should quote einstein. he was NOT a believer either.

  • einstein was not a Christian, but he did believe in God.

  • "einstein was not a Christian, but he did believe in God."

    - hardr0ck

"I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." (Albert Einstein, 1954)

  • No write the rest of the article, So, 'Einstein became a deist - a believer in an impersonal creator God:

"I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings."

  • einstein's god is the natural order/patterns in the universe. it is nothing like your biblical god who hears your thoughts and whispers to you in the dark.

    the difference is fundamental.

but i will agree that he believed in a higher power.

  • "In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views." - Einstein

Einstein was NOT an atheist and believed in the possibility of a CREATOR, yet did not profess a particular faith. He admitted that it was a mistake to have tried to disprove the creation theory.

  • "The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of Honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish."

    - Albert Einstein 1954

im guessing since there is no way for him to (dis)prove a creator he just covered his bases and filled in the blanks with his imagination, just like everyone else.

  • you're right: you're guessing.

  • That is not true, Einstein was agnostic and believed in an impersonal creator God

  • "I've heard arguments WITHIN those sciences that would suggest intelligent design."

it might be a small group (less than 1%). 99% of science agree with evolution as a whole. there are some minor debates about how long it takes to happen and if it has bursts at key point in time or if its steady.

"science can be and has been interpreted many different ways so it can prove to be an unreliable source,"

just like the bible, the difference is that science can change, religion cant.

  • yet another made-up statistic. 99% of science, eh? I'd ask if you could show me where you get this from, but let's cut the crap - you made that number up.

okay, I agree with you; The Bible is like science as it can be and has been interpreted many different ways. But at least you agree that all the sciences you mentioned don't entirely support evolution - you just interpret it in a way that it does.

  • from wiki

"A 1991 Gallup poll of Americans found that about 5% of scientists (including those with training outside biology) identified themselves as creationists."

    my bad, 95%

    google "project steve"

  • okay, I've read an article that discusses scientists and their religious beliefs or lack thereof but honestly, this is a subject I feel we should drop. We both could do plenty of research finding statistics and articles that support both our sides, but I think part of the discussion isn't the issue. I don't really mind if religion is or isn't popular amongst scientists. Abstinence til marriage isn't popular amongst Americans these days but i'll still maintain the conviction.

  • @Shadrach76 We have more reason to believe in creation than evolution. We have a collection of documents dating back into the BC era, which explain the origin of the earth and humanity. You have the theories proposed and supported by 18th and 19th century scientists. You question the authenticity of our document, while you don't even have an alternative one to back up your theory. We are much more inclined to believe in the orgin proposed by the Bible. That's definitely logic.

  • @Shadrach76 No, molecular biology, geology, genetics, biogeography, ethology, and biochemistry may interpretively point, in your view to the concept of evolution, but they don't all universally support it.

  • there is wats left oof the arc somewhere in europe, or watnot. and just because u dont believe doesnt mean you should criticize our beliefs. i would love for you to believe in christ but u seem to be in the mind state of a human, which cannot accept and comprehend the Gods spirit.

  • "provide me information disproving the existence of God and noah and any other Biblical people."

    - hardr0ck

i will, but you first have to disprove santa clause. when you do that i will disprove god.

  • Anyone who would equate Santa Claus with the Creator of the universe doesn't actually deserve a serious answer.

It was a nice try at evading the challenge, though.

  • "Anyone who would equate Santa Claus with the Creator of the universe doesn't actually deserve a serious answer."

its the same process. can you disprove the imaginary?

you are making an extraordinary claim, you need to provide proof to support your claim. real evidence that is testable and verifiable. if you can do this the debate is over and you WIN!

take your time, i can wait.

  • lol as witty as your comment was, it doesn't change the fact that the original challenge was for you to prove evolution based on undisputed fact.

I'm not gonna beat around the bush with you - I have NO problem admitting that my beliefs are FAITH-based.

You're claiming that YOUR beliefs are science-based - but they fail in that beliefs based on science are what require proof. Since you haven't presented any I think it's safe to say that YOUR beliefs are based not on fact but on faith as well.

  • "the original challenge was for you to prove evolution based on undisputed fact."

    it is undisputed.

can you name one non-religious scientific study that has another idea about our origins?

"I think it's safe to say that YOUR beliefs are based not on fact but on faith as well."

no, it is the mountains of evidence supporting evolution.

biology, paleontology and anthropology are just some scientific fields that support it (with proof).

  • oh come on you know as well as I do that it is NOT undisputed. And you admitted it yourself - sciences such as biology and paleontology, etc. all do not actually provide evidence, they are just interpreted in a way that does.

Are you seriously meaning to tell me that you have NEVER heard or read about ANY scientific creation-supporting study? I'll assume you're a pretty smart guy, so go and do some research. There are a HUGE amount of videos on youtube.

  • "And you admitted it yourself - sciences...do not actually provide evidence, they are just interpreted in a way that does."

    i never said that.

i DID say that there might be disputes about the times when some changes happened and how long the process takes but nobody thinks evolution is wrong.

*im talking about the 95% of scientists who understand evolution and accept it. i will speak this way for the rest of our discussion to make it easier and save space.

  • If a scientist isn't open to revaluation he or she is not a very good scientist. So if perhaps 95% (i haven't found evidence of that statistic but i'll just assume you have) of scientists accept the idea of evolution, they're accepting a belief. A belief drawn by what they have concluded from evidence presented to them (or to someone else). In other words, they interpreted this evidence in a way that supports evolution.

  • hardr0ck, do me a favor and read up on the "endogenous retrovirus".

tell me what you think about the connection between us and chimps in this area of genetics.

  • @Shadrach76 Give us examples of these "mountains of evidence." Stop trading insults, and just give us it. If you have it, show it. That's all we're asking; but you just keep dodging the question. Why? We've admitted that we can't empirically prove God, but that's because He's invisible, and He only speaks to us through personal revelation and through His word. Now we are asking you to present your proof of evolution. So do it.

  • "I have NO problem admitting that my beliefs are FAITH-based."

where does this faith come from?

    why do you believe it?

  • You'd be amazed at what the Bible says about faith and God.

"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." - John 14:21

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse." Romans 1:20
