Basic Income, a largely discussed issue in US, Europe and Brasil is known in India as Votership. Which demand Economical Freedom for all citizen. This Concept can solve many problem Ie. Poverty and issue caused by Poverty like terrorism, and can ensure a happy and healthy life for everyone.
Oh, just one other thing. Use of the words "specter is haunting" is in my opionion a really bad way to start the video for English speaking audiences. It has a very negative connotation.
continued... in this well intended artificial system what kind of clever human will end up creating the most copies of himself? Will it be the one who is spending much of his time contributing to society or the one primarily focused on cloning himself? Will that be a sustainable trend? Is that the bias we want to put on the development of the human race? I would venture to say we would want to minimize this tendency but the idea of limiting a persons allowed number of children is difficult.
Good video, I am surprised that it is not more popular. I like the idea however the difficulty as always is in the details. While I agree with the key goals of freedom and human dignity this really needs an evolutionary sanity check. I see this system doing a good job of fighting exploitation of the poor by the wealthy however it seems to open the door for reverse exploitation wide open.
