I have a friend that has a Sony Bravia kdl-40v4100 40inch tv. Lightning stuck his house. Phone don't work anymore and neither does the tv. Is there anything I can do?

I know you guys can't do a teardown of every TV but I need help with my Samsung. It is very simple the first problem is the TV will not turn on, the power light just flickers and no picture just a black screen. The Second problem is I can't get the back off of the TV. I took out all the screws and everything but there is something holding the back on the TV around were the Input and Outputs go. Need help please, can't play or watch anything. thanks in advance. :-)

backlights make an lcd have any brightness whatsoever. it has nothing to do with ghosting. thats called a refresh rate.

That's a dead pixel,if you're lucky it's just stuck,try doing a "pixelmassage",search the net for that.

I repair PSP's all the time, and when a mother board is fried, I put it aside and get a new one for it. I was wondering if you can do a video of what the hell is actualy on a PSP's motherboard. I already know that it HAS to have a 333 MHZ Processor, but I don't get ehat all the other crap is for on the board, unless it is RAM, and sound and video processing. . .

I have that same space heater. I working on making a cooling adapter to attach to the bottom vents and blow air in and out thru the top vents. With proper ventilation it should increse the life of the set. Please tell me I don't know wtf i'm talking about before I go out for building supplies. :)

LN46A750 is better with 50,000:1 contrast ratio, 4 ms response time and true 1080p, with 120 Hz refresh rate, pathetically the f8 is worse then these specs cause thier all 8 response time. refresh rate 100 and 25,000:1 contrast ration dont buy it

alltrough they have susch powerfull proccesors onbourd to even improve the pal and ntsc signals to better match the quality of hd,wich is very amezing!!!!!!!

Most asian export TV's are not made as well as they have been in the 80's and 90's - The best TV's currently are made by LG and Bang & Olufsen (which uses LG technology). I highly recommend the B&O - but it starts at around 10,000.

Sony currently and have always put the most research and development into their electronics.I know this as i am an electrical engineer and have been servicing TV's and other electrical devices for over 30 years and i am not affiliated with any company so what i am saying is not biased. How you can say that LG is the best is beyond me! You've made me laugh!LG is nothing compared to Sony, Samsung,Panasonic...etc. SONY 1,SAMSUNG 2, PANNASONIC 3. Panasonic also makes superior products but almos all of these are relegated to the domestic Japanese market - the ones we get in N America are not as good. I've owned a Japanese made Sony - and it is excellent - I currently have a B&O LCD model TV.
