hmmm, ps3 media server seems to have had a software update so the menus don't apear the same. Also PS3 software has also had an update so it does a lot of the enabling for you. I was hoping itunes movies would work but atm i cant even find them on my ps3 even though i added it as a folder... i'll have to carry on playing for the mean time... unless anyone has some handy tips for me? IMAC OSX 10.5.8

PS3 Media server is a whole lot better and if you actually learn to tweak all settings (and choose the correct video drivers), you won't have any errors when checking thumbnail options, let alone lowering the video quality.

I have tried the procedure. Everything works pretty well on the Mac. My PS3 is not showing the shared drive. I have kept the PS3 awake and so to the mac but to no avail. Now I am trying store my music directly onto the PS3 drive and use it as a jukebox independent of the mac.
