Boot Manager is Compressed Boot Error Fix by Britec

I got a boot disk from that place you suggested, but now something else is causing a problem. After getting to the Systems Recovery Option box, Windows Vista is not showing. Nothing is showing at all inside the box. I still hit the "next" button, but can't repair startup. Any idea how to fix it. I have an HP G60-125NR and it came with no Windows Vista disk.

EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THE RIGHT FILES READ THIS:

After you download the newest version of plop right click the .zip file and Extract All to somewhere. Then go into the folders and if you want to install on windows go to the windows folder and right click and run as administrator- InstalltoBootMenu.bat or something like that. Then once its done doing its commands you can restart and start it from the boot menu

First question why is the Boot manager compressed? I have lost count on how many times this same thing has happened. I tried what you suggested and the drive was not ticked as compressed? tried the other method you suggested and could not get that to work either so just gave up and loaded it all in again. Even with these kind of annoyances from Windows its all worth it as the other computer I have to use is an Apple and thats just a mystery beyond belief.

Your presentation was spot on! Got me out of a jam! I upgraded my mother's computer from Vista to 7 and thought I was doing a good thing by compressing the hard drive as i do on my other computers. That was not the case for her Compaq Presario Pentium Dual Core.  This did the trick and her new operating system works just fine! You da Man! Just subscribed, and many thanks!

I need help. I've been trying to fix my lap top which is a HP Mini 110 the one with no disk drive. It is currently stuck at this BOOTMGR state. I've downloaded this recovery disk and all but everytime I try and install it into the USB flashdrive it stops and says an error about the USB timing out. Is it because the USB flashdrive is not in its bootable state?

it sounds like you've installed something but a file is missing.

you my want to run a full computer scan with your anti virus.after that schedule a scan,like i schedule a scan every wednsday at 3am.it's best to have it run a scan when you're not on your computer.spyware is also good to have because it will detect any problem, just run a quick scan for any: bugs,infection.etc...ccleaner is also good.it's a small program just over 2mb.it's just another way to optimize your pc

always keep up your maintenance using windows. it's always good for your pc such as..defragment,clean disc(using windows),prefetch,temp,%temp%(­those three are for unwanted files on your pc) you'll "freeup" alot of space.

if u have this problem re install your previous windows ( system) and un check compressed marker.... from my computer right click properties and u can install a clean windows on it without this error... :)
