dude I'm okay with Ozzy having teleprompters because 1.) he did a lot of drugs and 2.) some of these songs are almost 40 years old. I would have forgot them too. And every band forgets songs, there was one concert I went to where they took a request, and they requested one off their first album, which was 10 years old at the time, and they had to ask for sheet music before they played because they didn't remember how to even play the song!
why the devil did they play this in C#? it was originally in D, and sounds much better that way, and its not like tony can't play in D, or Eb. and the Reunion (Last Supper) shows us that Ozzy can at least sing in Eb, and his live solo stuff in D, so wtf?
@bookworm1138 You are correct! I remember when I tried to figure these songs out back in the 70s and I was told to tune my guitar down to C#. It was true on most of the songs but this one is tuned down to D. I forgot that till now!

People that dont play...dont Understand...Bill Has to be an inventive drummer because of tony's style as well as terry's..He bends the strings on the bass and goes into these allmost jazz type things that bill needs to invent fill's and somehow reel them back in for the hook...Not many drummers can do that. I saw Sabbath in 05 in massachusetts on the first night of ozzfest and ozzy was perfect. as was the rest of the band.

@DoctorIvanSFN I never realized how great a bass player Geezer was untill I picked up bass ten yrs ago,He is probably the best musician in Sabbath by a long shot,Ward is a great drummer but his timing is suspect and on every album he tends to use the same beats and fills over and over again. But Geezer is very innovative musically,he wrote much of their stuff and was always on point when playing live,cant say the same for Ozzy,Iommi and Ward,live was NEVER their strength.

Black Sabbath is one of my favourite bands, but Ozzy's vocals are terrible in this live performance. No offence to the man; he was one of the creators of metal (though to a lesser degree than Iommi and probably Butler as well), but I think the time is more than ripe for him to retire from music.

Its priceless to see these guys, even though Ozzy is not in his prime anymore. Ill bet most reading this would explode if you could have even led a part of any one of these mens lives. I couldnt have done it then and sure as hell couldnt at 60.

Ozzy and Bill seem to be struggling so much. Of the 4 of them they were the biggest substance abusers and they are paying for it. Shit,Bill is probably completely clean now,but Ozzy is consistently kept on the meds thanks to his wonderful wife.

its funny how people riff on ozzys age. he may not be as good as he once was... but, hes still good and look at the guy jumping around and gettin the crowd into it. I challenge everyone to be that active at 60 and still sound that good. there are people in the 60s ridin in scooters. some dont make it that far. but here ozzy is still singin tourin and makin records. think about that. and, enjoy sabbath in this kickin ass as usual.

Actually Tony Iommi wrote both the music and lyrics for this song (I am not kidding, I am serious).
All 4 band members were credited for writing most tracks on Masters of Reality but Embryo, Orchid and After Forever are Credited just to Tony.

Black Sabbath is: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Tony 'Geezer Butler. Ozzy Osbourne left in 1979, his solo albums are referred to as Ozzy Osbourne's albums. Some of his solo songs are Crazy Train, Bark at the Moon, Dreamer etc. Theres a major difference between the two.

Black Sabbath is one of my favourite bands, but Ozzy's vocals are terrible in this live performance. No offence to the man; he was one of the creators of metal (though to a lesser degree than Iommi and probably Butler as well), but I think the time is more than ripe for him to retire from music.

Oh, I didn't mean to suggest that Ozzy and Black Sabbath are washed up or anything like that. They're still awesome, even unequalled, in live performance; all I'm suggesting is that Ozzy's vocal powers are beginning to falter somewhat, but that's only to be expected in a man of 60. Rock on, Ozzy and Sabbath - and as piotrwrotek says, respect to them for playing live and not to some crappy backing track.

Well the heaviest christian rock would be As I Lay Dying, their song Confined sealed that deal easily. But ,as always, we all owe the big debts to Sabbath. They were ahead of their time. They crafted the truest form of Heavy Metal, but then would tackle the pro-christian element of it and take a
