  • I'm 21 and was diagnosed yesterday with it. I've been told I may not have children and I can only pray that I can. I am devistated, depressed..words can't express how I feel. I want to be a mother someday and to have my own. I will pray for me and all the women who suffer from this.

  • PLEASE READ FROM BOTTOM TO TOP>

  • I was wondering if anyone has done this or known someone who has done this. Me and my husband are parents without a child and it has been hard on us and our family who see that we would be such caring and wonderful parents. Any information that you could share would be wonderful.

  • I am almost 37 and can't help but think I don't have much time left. The only other thing that we did during the time before we got pregnant was try fertility treatments the month before witch did not work. We got pregnant the month after. We have been going through hardships lately and can't afford the treatment again right now. Too much money. I have heard of people doing fundraising to get fertility treatments and even adopt.

  • Hi, I am 36 years old and I have PCOS. I have been married and trying to get pregnant for almost nine years.

We recently were able to get pregnant for the first time after having both lost 35 lbs each on a special diet. The loss of this pregnancy sent me back to old habits and I have gained 6 lbs back. We have had no luck in the past few months since we were ready to try again. I keep thinking if I could only get it together and diet again that I could have another chance.

  • There are drugs that you can take that will help with getting pregnant even though you have PCOS. I would suggest doing a bit of research on it instead of giving up hope. There is a website with a lot of information on PCOS that I've found and it gives me a small hope that maybe my wife and I can have children. It also has information on Endometriosis that is very helpful. cincinnatifertility . com

  • i have pcos myself i was diagnosed when i was eight and at first i didnt know what it was so i thought this is awesome i can eat whatever and i'm on metphormin so if i eat sugar nothing happens but i soon found out that eat all this sugar is making me gain more weight and for me its hard & scary. now im scared i'll never be able to have kids. sometimes i just cry cause im scared and none of my friends have this so it makes me feel like im the kid that stands out i dont look fat cause im tall

  • This video made me loose all the hope I can have for having children when I grow up

But the information was good but overall a little motivation would be great for many of us (specially being young ) to believe that there is always hope for everything in life . We should never give up and miracles do happen

We all are beautiful no matter how :)

  • I was just diagnosed with PCOS, 27 now but have probably had it since I was 13. There is a lot we can do. Diet is number 1 and getting on NATURAL bio identical hormones. They will lower your testosterone levels and raise your female hormone levels. I know of 6 different woman (friends of mine) with PCOS that are either pregnant now or have had children. The video is nice but we need to spread positive information as well because you can have children with PCOS.

  • just rember ur not alone none of us are

  • I appreciated this video so much that I put it on my blog so that others could view it. I have PCOS and am trying to have a baby. It's been an uphill battle to say the least. If you want to follow the journey, here is the link. And thank you to the creator of this youtube video. pcosjourneytohaveababy.blogspot.com

  • I'm 14 and I was diagnosed last year with this. I really need to start working on my weight now because I am obese. Nobody I know has this and it saddens me to know that having a child will become a struggle for me. That was the one thing I wanted most in life to accomplish when I grow up. Hopefully when I become more healthy and smaller my pcos will disappear/ go away. I wish fertility to every woman, and I wish every woman good luck if you have pcos.

  • I was finally diagnosed with PCOS, hypothyroid and pre-diabetes this year (I've been trying to tell my doctors for years that something was wrong and I thought it had to do with hormones). I lost about 40 pounds but stuck now and my thyroid is improving with medication and my blood sugar levels dropped but I still have to watch what I eat and deal with constant pain, which actually gotten worse.

  • i have had pcos my whole life. it has caused me lots of grief with weight issues (mostly abdominal weight), acne and facial hair. ive had less periods in my whole life than others get in a yr. but guess what? i have 4 children, 2 of the pregs were unplanned and the other was planned and was preg within a week of trying and resulted in twins. naturally conceived.

  • @AnCailinRua73 thank you for posting this comment! i was diagnosed 4 years ago, i am 30 and almost hopeless that i could ever have children! its nice to know that there is hope

  • Ok, I have PCOS and it's not fun but I feel like most people on this forum are really over exaggerating the realities of this disease. Pcos does not necessarily mean you can't conceive it just makes it more difficult. Medications can definitely improve all side effects too. If you just found out you have PCOS don't freak yourself out by reading all these comments....Jesus Christ! Just talk to your doctor.

  • I have pcos and I was always scared that I couldnt have children. Now I am almost 7 weeks pregnant :)

  • I have just been diagnosed with PCOS, I am 22.

  • I have just been diagnosed with pco

I was also born with cystic fibrosis

someone obviously hates me up there

  • @NatalieGlendenning he doesn't hate you. I felt the same the first wee - what did I do wrong, why me? why does the guy up there hate me so much, but its not about hate or love.

    be strong

  • @NatalieGlendenning a cyst on your ovary is not the same as PCOS. but it doesnt mean you dont have it either. Cysts can occur in all women, PCOS is a hormone triggered syndrome

  • a couple months ago in june, the doctors told me i had a cyst in my right ovary, and when i told my friend she said im likely to get pcos...im wondering if this is true...i hope its not, im only 15 years old. someone please answer back.

  • @lhg238 ask your Dr! the internet will only give you false hopes or disappoint you when things may not be true.

  • @enigmagurrl21 thank you, i will

  • @lhg238

I dont know if someone answered you back, and I hope you have seen a doctor but most likely you do not if it is just one, because PCOS is a string of ovaries, or what look like pearls around your ovaries. I am so sorry, just know it will be alright.

  • well this is fucking depressing.. things like this life make me wonder what's the point..

  • eliminate sugar its working for me look up sugar withdraw

  • Living with PCOS is one of the greatest challenges of my life! Thank you so much for this video...I shared it with all my family and friends, so that they can know what we Cysters go through everyday. :)

  • Thank you for making this! I was diagnosed at the age of 14 and have struggled so long with this disease. My husband and I have been trying for over 7 years to have our first child and have had 3 miscarriages. My wish is for someday that PCOS is non existent. Awareness needs to be raised!

  • i have pcos, could not figure out why in a space of 8 months i gained 30kg and had trouble losing even a couple of kilos. after changing doctors and one year later diagnosis of pcos, im on metformin 500mg slow release, evening primrose oil 3 capsules a day, vit b6 one tablet and vit c + zinc daily and i found that it really helped.. im now losing weight slowly :-) there's hope..

  • I am one of the women who is diagnosed with PCOS. Everyday I feel alone and depressed but i manage to have a smile on my face when I am with my friends or my family. One day I hope to be a spokesperson for PCOS I am saying to all the young girls and young women who have PCOS, just be who you are, love yourself and be yourself despite having PCOS. If you will like to have contact me feel free to add me on here (youtube) or Email me at gothicxblackxtears@hotmail.ca

  • So my primary doctor suggested I have PCOS... I am reading your comments in tears... I am 28, wanted to wait for a baby and now feel so hopeless... I hate my doctors because I have a lot of the symptoms and it was only recently that this disease came up. But she mentioned nothing about tests or treatments.... :(

  • I'm one of the statistics, mild symptoms. Although I've opt to take meds, I hope a cure can be found. Until then, just be strong and try to stay healthy. I've noticed alfalfa helps me regulate my period. Helpful hint.

  • Thank you so much for raising awareness of PCOS. I have dedicated myself to helping other women overcome it after it ruined my fertility and took years away from my life. I made a website about my story and I'm so happy to see others speaking out too!

  • My girlfriend has pcos too, she cried when she told me

I am not a doctor, can't really help her much, but all I have is love, I love you

  • Although I never had any weight issues...I had a miscarriage earlier this year and can't help but wonder if my PCOS had anything to do with it. Anyways God knows best.

  • I am in tears! Its hard filing this way. I thank u for this video for given me straight to kip up with my illness. Thank u and god bless us all.

  • This is a great video. I too have pcos (i'm 17) and struggle to explain to friends and family what it is. This explains it perfectly.

    Well done

  • I also have this, im 16... im afraid to tell my parents, what if they wont take it seriously and i wont get to the doctors. What will happen if i dont? If it neccesary to go see a doctor? :(

  • @osaniss yeah, it is necessary to start treatment as soon as possible. I wish I hadn't waited that long to go see a doctor.

  • i can't believe i just started crying watching this i'm in the process of uploading a video talking about my pcos i need support and i need to know that i'm not alone...

  • Thank you so much for the video. I have pcos and it's nice to know that I am not alone in my battle, even though most of us are ashamed to admit our illness. We have no reason to be ashamed, ladies. Thank you so much, you moved me to tears.

  • of all the vids on PCOS this is the nicest, best vid on youtube! thankyou for creating such a video that can help friends, family and strangers just 'get it'. :)

  • Your video hit home with me in an all too real way. I was trying to find info about PCOS so my 11 year old could get a visual idea about what she was diagnosed with yesterday! I included a link to it in my blog and I posted it on facebook so people who dont know what it is will learn more. I experienced my PCOS diagnosis at 40, after having 3 daughters who all have it. Sadly my youngest is the one who will suffer the worst with her diagnosis. Thanks for creating this and thanks for sharing it!

  • I am 38 this year and was 15 when told I had PCO's. Was told I would never have children, was and am forever battling with my weight, have hyper tension, high blood pressure and suffer with depression (another sign of PCO's though rarely mentioned) However I have a beautiful boy now aged 5 (12 weeks before my wedding found out was 21 weeks pregnant) I was not taking any fertility drugs and had accepted that I was not to have children. So for those ladies who have only learnt that you have PCO's

  • I have PCOS and was told on my 18th birthday i would never have children. I feel for every woman that has this. i know how hard it is to loose weight, how low in confidence you feel because you have hairs places you shouldnt. i feel like much more less of a woman. but being told you cant have children makes you want one more. little girls normally dream of getting married but all iv ever dreamed of is becoming a mother. people need to realise how serious this can be!

  • @JessiexEffx93 from i was a teen ive always preferred to play with the boys. ive always misssed periods even having as few as 4 per year. now my do tells me that high blood sugar levels causes my high insulin level and subsequently my insulin resistance. this has supposedly increased my testosterone levels and cause pcos. y this all started is unknow. all i know is it hurts like hell to be a teacher n know that i may never have 1. jus like you the more i hear that i cant have 1 the more i want 1

  • My girlfriend of 6 months has PCOS. She has to take medication, has insulin resistance, and is over weight because of it. I love her regardless of these illnesses. Any man not willing to love a woman because PCOS isn't someone that will make you happy in the long run regardless of if you show symptoms of PCOS. You are not less of a woman and regarding yourself as such is the only real problem.

  • @proatheism you are an amazing man and your girlfriend is lucky! Unfortunately, most guys aren't like you

  • I was just diagnosed with it and i am 15...I didnt think it was this bad i didnt know about the heartattack risk and the meds and CAN U EVEN GET PREGNANT WITH PCOS?! :/

  • @moenicole96 its difficult and may take years. for some it never happens without meds

  • i was diagnosed when i was 11, you're not alone bbg. just have hope and faith,be positive throughout im sure you will reduce your symptoms greatly. Don't get so stressed over this syndrome when there are many other great things in life. stress can make your conditions worse. stay strong and i hope ur family supports u :) all the best.

  • This is a really nice video about PCOS awareness, but there are natural ways to treat the symptoms and reduce the risks associated with it. Please check out my channel and my PCOS video for more information. I have had PCOS for 12 years.

  • I just cried while watching this video. I'm 18 and was recently diagnosed. I feel like somehow I failed at being a woman.

  • This video scares me.

  • This video is so pessimistic! I was diagnosed with PCOS at 18 and I've had 2 children both times I fell pregnant pretty quickly without any need for fertility drugs. There are varying degrees of this syndrome and most symptoms are manageable. Being on the right contraceptive pill helped clear my skin and regulate my periods. The best treatment by far is regular exercise.

  • Hope For The Cysters.....(:

  • Thank you for sharing this video. I did not know about PCOS but have a sister and a friend with severe endometriosis. My sister struggles daily with unbearable pain and has had surgeries. My heart goes out to women who deal with these conditions. I pray they find the cause and most importantly a cure.

  • There is a cause. Jsut make sure you come on your period. Theres a herbal medicine as well to make you come on. and trust me. and the try the pill. Trust me this video is too pessimistic. You just need to put your Oestrogen levels up and exercise.

  • Hi I just saw your clip and I totally understand how you feel I even cried I also wonder why did I get this? Good luck

  • I just turned eighteen on 12.20.2010. I was diagnosed with PCOS on 3.22.2011. I have had a dream of having three wonderful children since I was small enough to play with dolls. Now knowing that I have PCOS and have possibly had it since before I became sexually active has made me depressed and It's only getting worse. I feel very alone and none of my friends or family have ever heard of it. I feel so embarrassed to be in public even though they don't know. I love this video.

  • ok i so i have been told that i have pcos, what sucks is that i am 18. i was first told that may not have kids when i was 5 because of the damage after being raped but now being told that this lowers my chance again just torn me. why me? i also have trouble with my weight i have been trying to loss weight for 2 years and i have lost is 20 kg i am 95kg now. i get tessed about how i get darkhair in odd places.

  • I just hope someday they do find a cure for girls like us & that awareness can be spread to inform the public. This a serious medical condition that could prove to be fatal if not treated. None of us chose to be born with PCOS, I know I didn't. My mom has PCOS and is extremely devastated that she cannot have another child. Her doctor can't see how she conceived me in the first place. She seems to be infertile. I hope someday a cure will be found.

    Never give up! <3

  • Some people just don't understand what I go through. This guy I used to like who is now dating one of my ex best friends from 4th grade, and they had exchanged a conversation on her Facebook wall calling me a bearded lady. If they just knew that PCOS is a medical condition, and if I could help it, I would. I've struggled with pre-diabetes, extremely painful cysts, uncontrollable bleeding, dark patches of skin, excess hair growth, thinning of my hair, elevated heart rate and irregular periods.

  • I've been struggling with the symptoms and struggles that come along with having PCOS since I was 11. About a year before I ever got my period I went from being 93 pounds to almost 125 in the matter of a few months. Everyone just thought it was because I was a "growing girl" then as the years dragged on I managed to gain about 75 more pounds. Now I weigh about 197lbs and have put on 20 pounds in the last 9 months. I can't seem to control my weight at all. (to be continued)

  • I HAVE THE SAME THING!!!!! I am 15 freakin sucks!!

  • Comment removed

  • i started having problems at 16 and by 18 i gained 150 lbs... i am 25 in a month and it is hard to deal with this... i wish there was a support group here cuz i am doing this alone and its hard to see the light when it feels like all is lost

  • I have pcos, I lost 66 lbs with Metformin and got pregnant, my son is almost 2 years old, I tried 18 years for him. I want you all to know there is hope, keep trying, and most of all keep praying

This video made me cry Thank you for making it

  • It took them 5 years to give me a name for my demon lol And many scary and sad visits to the doctor. Noone could figure out with this small framed beautiful girl gained 70 pounds in a matter of a couple of months. One doctor told my mother i was fat and should be ashamed that i let it get that far!!! I desperatly want to be a mother and will never give up hope. Fight, fight, and fight. Pray for me and I for you, WE ARE going to beat this thing!!!!

  • This sickness makes you crazy.

Not only i feel pain like something tears inside

  • I wish someone made this video when i was 15 ....maybe my peers would have understood a bit more

  • @janaesweet321 , completely agree with you!!

  • @Grobanadianatuog Were you given a hard time during middle school/high school as well? I have the hair on my face, back belly and chest...i got teased so much, I'll be 21 in a month-happily married, doing better than the ones who teased me- but it still hurts me and makes me feel conscience about everything i do, if someone looks at me i think "oh god, they can see the 5'o clock shadow, the make ups not covering it or shit i must have missed a spot" lol

  • @janaesweet321 yes I was, I'll be 23 in april...and I always have the same thoughts go through my head as you when someone will look at me. I always think "do they see a large woman and think I sit around eating junk food all day, do they see the beard that's started growing?" It makes me feel so unfeminen, thankfully I have a wonderful family that lets me know that I'm beautiful and loved!

  • oh there is a cure... check out raw foods and diabetes/PCO - google it!! there is hope trust me, lots of people have cured themselves

  • loved it!!!

  • Thank you for making this I was diagnosed at 15yrs with PCOS and no one really knows how serious this condition is, thank you and God Bless you

  • It also made me cry because I too have PCOS. May God (who is not a man), guide us all.

  • This video made me shed a few tears. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15 too (I am now 23) but I knew nothing about it at all... Yet I suffered all the symptoms (and still suffer from most of them). Thank you for making this awarness video, I am happy that you were educated about your illness, it is important because it can affect allot of the natural functions of a woman... Be strong and take care of yourself, it's so important!

  • I'm being tested at the end of this month for PCOS,and I have to say I am really scared.

I want to have a family with my boyfriend in the future and I'm afraid that it wont happen.

  • My eldest daughter was diagnosed with PCOS two years ago and now my youngest is looking like she has it too. So my girls must get the gene from me, I think the symptoms vary in severity, I have a weight problem (though in my teens I was underweight and had acne on my back) and a bit of facial hair, but no irregular periods or problems getting pregnant. A lot more women probably have it and don't realise.

  • i found out abt mine a 2 years ago....

i was prescribed contraceptive pills.... and my periods were regular....

i lost a lot of wt.... but now after stopping to take those pills, i'm suffering th worst side effect.. HAIRFALL... my husband left me.... now i'm here thinking abt my health watching this video and crying.... i'm 21

  • I found out yesterday after having two scans at the hospital that i have Pcos. it didnt hit me properly untill today. :( All i know is i have to be strong <3

  • @joleeene15 I have it too. I'm just 16. It's definitely a chore remembering all of my medication, and trying to figure out how the hell to make myself healthier on my own! Sometimes I get scared that something bad will happen, since I already have high blood pressure, high insulin.. I don't want diabetes or anything... I know you feel shocked. I still do, knowing something isn't right with my body... But stay optimistic, for you. You can take care of yourself! <3 -Katie

  • wow i was crying like a bigg baby but this is very true and its not that we want people to feel bad but these questions do pop up in your mind when you find out... Some people like me really want children and theres a chance that might not happen.

  • Thank you for this video, I cry every time I watch it. I have PCOS and me and my husband have tried to get pregnant since 2005. It`s hard, but...

    Never Give Up Hope!

Btw. What´s the name of this song, and who is singing? It´s beautiful!

  • @LilleLidda

You have a really loving husband!

    He is still with you.

Good luck and i wish you a lot of beautiful children!

  • @LilleLidda Same here - hubby and I been trying since 2005 and still nothing :( Hang in there!!

  • @LilleLidda Lighthouse by hope, I Love this video and the song!

  • @LilleLidda Lighthouse by Hope

  • amazing vid, thank you

  • Great video! I also have a Facebook Page for PCOS (PCOS Princess) and just used this video to spread awareness.

  • I am crying my eyes out right now. My 24 year old daughter just found out she has this disorder. I so badly wish that I could take it from her and bear it myself so that she will not have to suffer from this. I am just so sad right now, I cannot stop crying......:(

  • I have this too, your video made me cry because i am in exactly the same situation as you, being only 15 myself also.

But you have to believe they will someday find a cure, it is the only thing that keeps me going sometimes, i dream of having a child one day and i am determined that i will have one.

Just remember you are not alone in this <3

  • I've had acne since i was 10, I'm almost 19 and I know who to blame now PCOS.I'm also very thin because of it .Some of my friends have it too, most of them are embarrssed to talk about it and some haven't taken any medical help either.Im sorry to say but your video depressed me.I mean i know i ahve it found out last year but yeah it sucks when you know all its effects.

  • Aside from weight issues, PCOS women come in all shapes & forms, which does not necessarily preclude you from conceiving...it is important to remember, you cannot be on clomid, metformin or bcp without proper diagnosis & proper monitoring so that you follow the correct treatment path. Not all PCOS sufferers are insulin resistant. There is hope & success for all of you with the correct health care provider.

  • GREAT VIDEO! Beautiful job, great song choice.

    Some corrections:

PCOS is an endocrine disease that MAY affect the ovaries. PCO no longer defines PCOS. The name presented decades ago before we know what we do today. Not all experience PCO - 30% or more.

PCOS can be seen as young as 5. Usually seen as Precocious Puberty, although not scientifically proven. Many show common mental disorders like ADD/ADHD, Bipolarism, depression & isolation.

  • i just found out i have PCOS friday im only 14 :(

  • I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I am 13. I will cure it :) many have. An all raw foods diet normally does the trick.

It's terrible to be honest, i have 2 periods a month and they last for almost 2 weeks. So im hardly ever off my period. It's terrible but oh well, im alive.<3.

  • bless your heart!

  • This is beautiful! Never give up hope!

  • hey thnx for the video. srry to hear about you having it. it does suck, i wasn't able to graduate cause of mine. there isn't a cure, but i do hope your able to find something that will make you feel more yourself. pcos just sucks all the way. there's people out there that blame someone's wieght problem on them being lazy, but they really don't even have the slightest clue.

  • wow i was crying while watchin this am 16 and i have PCOS since 07 and i started to get hair growth on my face(which i just wax it) which am afraid to go out bc of what people may say or think about me but i try hard no to listen or any of that but this video is the only video that made me cry

  • I've been "studying" PCOS for quite some time now. Although I haven't consulted a gynecologist, I know that I have a really great chance of having PCOS because of my weight struggles, and my abnormal menstrual cycle.. :(

It pains me a lot, since the only thing I want most in this life is to be a mommy. And as early as now, I think I'm gonna have difficulty. I wanna be a woman. I wanna be a confident woman...

    I'm 17 and I think I have PCOS.. :(

  • wow i did not know about the increased risk of heart attack or high blood pressure. thanks for the info.

  • what song is this on the video?????

  • thank you. many family members dont understand. My brothe saw this and now understands that it is not just me unable to loose weight and have the struggles that i do.

  • I have 2 groups on facebook.. Please come join us..You are not alone in this.. Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and trying to get pregnant. But no Fargin Luck. and Part 2 Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome.Everyone is welcomed.. Hear other stories and other treatments from many different people..

  • I also have PCOS , and it's hard telling people i don't feel well. They think that it's not thing to deal with especially family members.. When i am going through my hard times they constantly make fun of my facial hair, and make issue about my weight. Hey thank you for the videos..

  • Thank you for making this. I was diagnosed when I was 18. But they had be been monitoring me since I was 14. It's hard to explain this to people without crying. This makes it so much easier. Thankyou!

  • I'm 13 and I have PCOS. Mindfuck much?

  • Cycters, don't listen to those who say you can't loose weight. Weight loss is easy if you know HOW to do it. I lost 25 pounds in 3 months doing the following: eliminate refined carbohydrates and sugars, eat whole grain foods, increase proteins and fibre, cut down on fatty foods, increase fruits and vegetables, get lots of sunshine AND exercise regularly, at least 30 minutes three times a week.

  • @bouncingbubbles08 YEAP IVE BEEN DOING THAT YOU ARE CORRECT!!!!!!!! WHAT MEDICATION DID YOUR DOCTOR PRESCRIBE YOU?????

  • @Ivette901 After I lost 35 pounds and was having regular periods I was put on metformin. But I had to stop taking it because it gave me low blood sugar. If a woman's pcos is caused by insulin resistance, the best way to tackle it is through lifestyle changes. I don't believe in taking medication for a disease that is largely caused by an unhealthy lifestyle. A lot of cysters are on meds trying to ovulate yet they're still eating all the junk that is causing their problems.

  • I have to admit, I was surprised that most the facts on here are actually true. There are so many rumors about PCOS, especially since it was featured on "Mystery Diagnosis" It's almost impossible to separate fact and fiction, most doctors don't even know what to believe anymore.

I was diagnosed at 26, I'd been on birth control 13 years and saw no symptoms until I couldn't afford BCP.

I guess I was lucky though since I never wanted kids in the first place. The other symptoms are tolerable.

  • please change your nutrition. Eat more fruits and veggies, get off the red meat, and dairy. Juice your fruits and veggies if you cant eat an abundance of them- and watch your body heal itself. Blessings. oh and postive affirmations!

  • I'm doing a project for graduate school on the connection between PCOS and mood disorders, and included a link to your video. This is beautiful! Thank you for putting this together.

My husband and I waited for nearly 18 years to conceive a child, partly because of my PCOS... but our beautiful boy is now 1 year old. There is hope ladies!

  • this video made me want to cry i have pcos and just thinking about everything made it kinda sad thanks for the video

  • Beautiful video! You made me cry lol. I have been living with PCOS for about 15 yrs. Mine began at the start of puberty and I am now almost 31 yrs old and still continue the struggle. This disease can make you feel so alone, so I am very proud of you for posting this vid. And to all those posting comments, remember you aren't alone. There are alot of women out there with this, so find one and make a friend on this journey to share, learn, and cry together.

  • Im 15 and just found out I have Pcos..happy im not alone but still to overwhelmed witht the fact that i have it..

  • i've had pcos since i was 14..... i'm 20 now..

  • What a great video. Trying to get pregnant with PCOS- very difficult. The symptoms of PCOS are awful. Its kinda good to know I am not in it alone.

    Thanks

  • @sdmusic509 I KNOW IT IS AWFULL BUT IF YOUR REALLY CONSIRNED ABOUT YOU HELP AND YOU REALLY WANNA HAVE A BABY... WE GOTTA FIGHT IT... I HAVE FAITH I JUST STARTED METFORMIN 500MGS X2 A DAY I HAVE TO SEE MY DOCTOR IN A MONTH SHE TOLD ME (HONEY YOU GOTTA HAVE PATIENTS IT WILL HAPPEN BUT JUST HAVE LOTS OF PATIENTS) :) WHEN SHE TOLD ME IT WILL HAPPEN I WASENT AS SAD AS I WAS... KNOW AM EATING RIGHT AND I FEEL GREAT!!!!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! This video hit home...beautifully done!

  • I'm 18 and I have PCOS. I've known for a while now and I have almost every single negative effect from it. It was always a huge goal of mine to be a mother and for the longest time I never thought I would get the chance. But, somehow, I am pregnant now... through PCOS and being on the pill this baby is here and it is nothing short of miraculous. Don't lose hope! It may not be easy for us to have normal lives or conceive naturally but it can be done if we try! :)

  • I too struggle with PCOS! It is very hard living with it because it makes you feel less of a woman! Great video!

  • I just recently found out that I have this...I feel like crap. I know my mother had a issue kind of like this but I didnt think it would happen to me...I know I'm only 18, but to find out that you might not be able to have kids when you want them...sucks :\

  • aww come on girls! cheer up, were living and breathing, i know its hard but we cant let this get to us! until theres a cure we just have to raise awareness. the best thing to do is try and keep ur weight at a healthy level and take the medication given to u =) and know that ur not alone.. <3

  • i was diganosed with it in 2009, im 17. and its the WORST to cope with. Seriously, im depressed because of it. I like that this video was made. makes me feel somewhat better. and it does make me feel better that im not the only girl out there dealing with this. best of luck to you all<3

  • Hi! I'd like to ask for your permission to allow me to use this video for my school presentation...Thank you!

  • am crying .. thanx for this video!

  • Why do you feel like less of a woman? Roaches can reproduce. My dear, the ability to reproduce has nothing to do with your value.

  • im 14 and ive just been diagnosed with this... i feel like shit.

  • when I was first diagnosed I watched this video and cried and cried!

  • I was told I had PCOS about a year and a half ago. Back then, I was pretty overweight and had cysts and pains all the time. Now, I've lost a bunch of weight (about 50 pounds) and have had no problems since. Don't accept being overweight just because you're told your condition will keep you overweight. Even if it's hard to put down your donuts, do it.

  • If anyone needs to talk im here for you.. im 16 years old and was told i have PCOS.. but i am trusting in God still.. a mentor and friend of mine was healed of endometrial cancer and has been an inspiration to me.. I also struggle with liver issues and other things.. I understand what you all are going through but you must remain strong.. In some cases as my doctor tells me, you can actually have children..:) hold on to hope..you are beautiful and you have value:) someone needed2hearthat2day:)

  • im going to my gyno to get tested is that where i should go? i kinda dont want to tlk to my mom about it its rlly embarassing to me b/c of some of the symptoms i have n then if i dont have ne disease i wont have an explanation for them but i havent had ne pains that would make me believe i have cysts which i know is the main contributor of pcos ... should i be feeling pains?

  • @darkwatervamp

i was having problems having a regular period. i have had that problem since i had my periods at 15. i got pregnant a couple moths afterward and missed carried. im now 19 years old and go to a gynecologist. he did some blood work and told me i have PCOS. it is definitely something you need to talk to them about. it could be serious if not treated. just because you have no pains doesnt mean you don't have it. i wish you the best of luck.

  • You are so very strong, I found out that I had it when I was 16 it was really hard to hear that I may never have kids....we are all here for one another :)
