The hyenas didn't take over their territory. They just intimidated one lioness.

In a battle for territory it is the lions who would most likely come out victorious, just like it happened in Ethiopia 1999. Lions killed 35 hyenas in a matter of 2 weeks and chased off the rest. Lions suffered 6 casualties, which were all lionesses and cubs.

That's why lions are called Kings. They are unstoppable.

Hyenas can and do challenge lions, but the likelyhood of them winning a battle for territory is not that high. They will always recieve more damage and casualties by the larger and more powerful predators.

What clips are you talking about? Hyenas intimidating lionesses proves nothing. If its a real fight then even 2 young, skinny, immensely sick, dying male lions can rape 5 to 6 hyenas in a fight. Just type in "yound dying lions cs hyenas".

By the way did I mention that the lion pride that the was in that 2 week war with hyenas had no males? It was 10 lionesses against 45 hyenas and they still won. If there had been males the whole clan would have been wiped out in a matter of days.

"Something in their strategy just isn't working." BULLSHIT. The hyenas have the numbers and the powerful jaws and work in coordination to defeat the lions and take away their food. It's as simple as that. The lions also strike me as being very lazy and that certainly can't be said about the hyenas. The hyenas seem to be much more motivated.
