You could try synthetic ballistics gel from ballistekgel. com. It don't melt or need a fridge, comes ready to shoot from them. several shots and then it can be reformed.
When I make it instead of putting in the sink and wait for it to melt wth hot water I just melt it in the microwave and i pont oil the container I just use my finger or a knife to get the endges then it plops out....theres a million differnt ways to do it
Ok after the ballistic gel is made will it last for a while as long as it's not around heat? Because I wanna make like a bunch so I can have them on hand to shoot instead of making them one or two at a time! Or is that a bad idea? Hope the girl I watched in the video answers me back, your a real sexy women and your husband is very lucky to have a women like you. Thank you

Jeff thank ya'll for Heather showing off all the cool stuff that otherwise would be boreing. Heather is a natural show off and I love to watch your videos. (lucky bastard)
Wait a minute. Did I just read in these comments that a bmg 50 cal round balloon out? I have in my possesion a round that went through a grill, radiator, more steel, cast iron, through a firewall, out the back end and got lodged into a block wall next to were my dad was standing. (Korean War) This round was not ballooned out, pretty much dented, scarred, and just totally nasty looking. But was not ballooned out. The first 1/2" was bent over about 20 degrees. Just my 2 cents.
This is the first time I have heard and have seen your video's. I think all of your video's were great.You "folks" are down to earth,cool,and entertaining.I subscribed and I wish both the best of you luck.. One more important thing that I need to say is that Heather HOT!! and Jeff is one lucky "redNeck". Keep up the great work : )
Just found this video while run'in around the web and found it very much to my liking. Liked it so much I spent most of the afternoon checking them all out. Keep the videos coming, they are refreshing and fun to watch!
@yaamyrider904 refrigerating it helps mix it together and lets the gelatin absorb all the water, if you don't do it this way, you going to get a globby mess.
you rule!! thank you for this... It's a relief to see a girl not get owned by a shotgun! Now I'm gonna go make head-shaped targets.... i mean, spherical targets not meant to resemble a head in ANY way... 'cause that's bad... yeah... ok, bye! ;)
You would look really HOTT w/your natural hair color! blondes???? nope,not me!you're a cutie anyways. be yourself.I'm a dude, and have hair that reaches 3 inches above my belt loops.!! (:-{)>
hey guys. been interested in the gel idea since i've been watching "deadliest warrior". gonna try it with my Ruger Mini 14 .223. it will be my first vid posted on here
When you put the container of gel in the sink and heat it up with hot water how much oil do you use to make it slide out? Also what type of hanguns have you used to shoot into the gel ?
sorry drewnickel but i think jeff has got his shit strait here :) o yea i love ur vids heather mainly cuz i like stuff being shot and ur a very pretty woman :)
Just made one today (about 12 cups worth) but I put a water ballon filled with fake blood in the middle. Should be pretty fun to shoot with the Mosin-Nagant I bought the other day.
Hmmm...my post didn't show but what I said more or less was thanks for the recipe, I'm going to make some but I'm not going to shoot it with a shotgun lol.
Cool...I've never made any before but now I will. I think I'll shoot it with a pistol though; you didn't get much life out of yours with the shotgun LOL
build it in a block with these dimensions and it'll take several shots, 12"x12"x24", and that size ill let you test out 3" slugs too. so enjoy, and also you can thicken the gel to make it tougher and more animal like to show what it does to animals such as deer and bear. this block will stand up to a .50bmg for the record so you should go get your beast and shoot that block with the .50bmg
There's no way it could stand up to a .50bmg. I saw a test on the military channel once where they shot a bmg though a brick wall, a 4' thick block of balistics gel and then through another brick wall.... in the same shot! The bullet was no where to be found and the block of gel was shreaded. Shot was made from about 100 yards.
@Jeff3230 I use really thick gel and mine can stand up to the 375h&h without even moving, the .50bmg it just baloons out when it's hit and then the bullet keeps going.
LOL I take it you missed the part were I said it went through 2 BRICK WALLS and the gel? There is no way a 24" block of gel is going to stop a .50 cal bullet no matter how thick you mix the gel. If it's was 24" and solid it still will not stop a .50.
@Jeff3230 I told you, it doesn't stop the bullet, it can just survive being shot and come out with just a big fist sized hole in it. an brick walls aren't that big a deal, a 12-gauge 3" magnum will pierce a brick wall easily with slugs. and just for the record, at those high velocities, the bullet explodes when it hits something like water, watch mythbuster's test with the .50cal and water, at 2ft under your considered safe. also, 100yds isn't a problem, my pellet gun can do 200
you kept saying "could stand up to". I thought you meant stop one or something. that thing with the Mythbusters shows it's the angle it's shot at not just the water. Straight down the 9mm was leathel still at 8'. But at a 45 degree angle the high velocety does something to the bullets. I wish they would have tested it more to understand the reason why better. a slug doesn't match up to the 50 cal. It's a true monster designed to stop armored vehicles. the slug no so much lol.
@Jeff3230 a slug is heavy and slow moving, and so it doesn't experience as much shock on impact with the water. an equally heavy bullet at warp speeds is going to produce so much pressure on impact (around 3 million psi) that the bullet explodes. so that's why the slug kept going and the .50cal stopped instantly. the .50cal is meant for lightly armored vehicles, not soft and watery tissue like slugs are.
Dude... every gun they shot at an angle stopped within a couple of feet. Not just the 50. Every single shot made by every gun stopped right away. Only at an angle though. that was the big thing about it. Yes the flat nosed slug does experience as much shock because that's what they are actually designed to do. Look at the end of one. Notice the indention on the end. That's it's prupose. deliver the shock to the target. Water and tissue do not act on a bullet the same btw.
@HeathersVlogs have you shot water with a shotgun slug? my shotgun could fire several feet into the water and still damage whatever it hit. the .223, .50, .30-06, ext all blow up because of the sudden change in density. if your being chased by a maniac with a rifle, jump into a fairly deep pool and your safe, if it's a shotgun, hide and hope your not found
Kid... you're starting make a fool of yourself and it's getting worse with every comment you make. I JUST WATCHED THE MYTHBUSTERS VIDEO ABOUT THIS! JUST NOW! THE SLUG STOPPED AT 2 FEET STRAIGHT DOWN! Read about it! They are designed in the shape they are to deliver the shock! Not to penetrate! LOOK IT UP! Also THE SLUG IS MEETING "SUDDEN CHANGE INDENSITY" TOO!
@Jeff3230 and in real life most of the time it's the same, they were using hollow points, while I only use flat heads and round nose slugs. and yes I know it's true, cause I've done the expirement , I know what happens, and there are guns that can fire underwater, such as the 9mm glock, and I wouldn't reccomend it, but you could probably go underwater with a shotgun and go fishing, you'd just have to waterproof the gun first
I have tried and tried to point out to you that what you are saying you done (your word) is not even close to the video footage shown right here at youtube. So either I should believe that they faked their footage for some reason.... and what you are TELLING ME is the truth. Or their footage is genuine and you are making this up. What seems more likely? On top of that simple pysics does not support what you are saying either. Nor does what I've done my own self with my own guns.
Actually.... I just watched the Mythbusters videos again about water and gun test and the slugs don't do as much as the other guns in water. Even shot straight down the most it done was 2 to 3 feet. The other guns shot a lot furthur stright down than that. But when shot at an angle none go very far.
@Jeff3230 the shotgun still went more than 8 ft in, while the high speed .50cal fragmented at 3ft. the slugs are soft so they just bend instead of exploding, the copper jackets are hard, and shatter when they hit something too hard to penetrate. if you notice, hitting water is about the same as hitting concrete, but the shotgun slug's massive weight keeps it goin
The test I saw with my own eyes showed the slug stopped dead at 2 feet straight down! Do you know what's under than copper jacket? SOFT LED! Come on kid. Hitting water is NO WHERE NEAR HITTING CONCREATE! A 50 BMG is designed to demolish concreate. I've seen numerous test on it! But nothing does well in water except spears and arrows! The slug does not keep going!
@Jeff3230 yes it does, shoot water with a low speed slug and you'll see, I shot into a swimming pool with my uncle's 30-06 and it never touched the bottom, and the shotgun slug, blew clean through the bottom. I also shot with an 800 and 1000fps pellet gun just as proof, the pellet going faster expanded violently and stopped, while the slower one kept going and left a ding in the bottom
@drewnickel SIMPLE QUESTION. Then why does the footage on the Mythbusters video here at Youtube not support what you are telling me you did? Are they faking the footage some how? Your whole arguement is based off that footage. It isn't backing what you are saying?
Also the most used guns for hunting big game is not a slug. It's a high powered rifle! Why is that? Still not supporting your own theroy.
@drewnickel Let's think for a second. If you take a blut 1" rod and a sharp 16 penny nail. put them on your leg. Hit the rod with a 10 lbs hammer. Then hit the nail with a 20 lbs hammer. Then tell me which one goes deeper lol. It's that simple!
Also you're not really saying the 50 is not meant for soft tissue are you? that would be totally silly lol. Also the bullet from a 50 is slower than the 308, 30-06, 243, 270, 300 mag, 280, 223, and most any other cal like those. None of those explode on impact. Neither does the 50. And all are meant for soft tissue btw.
@Jeff3230 it was designed for anti material uses, while a shotgun slug was designed for hunting. and no, a 650gr bullet in a .50bmg will go at 3350fps, yes the 800gr is slower than the others, but the 800 gr will also go further into the water, it's like throwing a rock, and throwing paper.
First off.... you are WAY OFF on your 50 cal ammo ballistics. The average FPS of a 50 is 2700 to 2900 FPS!
But here's the point. What you say about paper versus rock doesn't work the way you are saying. Biggest problem is. BOTH PROJECTILES ARE MADE OF LED! And if the led projectile is moving 2700 FPS instead of 1500 FPS it's going to tare more stuff up!
@Jeff3230 there's more pressure on the lead if it's going faster, so it slows faster too, the shotgun slugs are moving slower and have less pressure on them, so they can go through water like your dropping a rock in it
@drewnickel This "more pressure on the lead" theroy that you've came up with is totally against the laws of phsics lol. The main one it's against.... for every action, there is a equal and oposite reaction.
Can you tell me this? Why can't a slug penetrate a bullet proof vest but any high powered rifle can with ease?
Tell you what.... you are saying the slug will go through more due to mass alone right. Since I've shot all kinds of guns in all kinds of substances making these little videos about other things... I'll make you one. I'll use my baby little 30-06 that has the same FPS average as the 50 bmg. I'll use a standard 150 grain bullet. Then compare it to a slug. Since you say 100 yards isn't crap I'll do the test at 100 yards.
@Jeff3230 100yds, is crap, I can hit a 6" steel plate at 150 to 200yds with my mossberg 500 and 3" slugs. the 30-06 has more penetration, but why do you think more people hunt with slugs? cause slugs aren't slowed by brush, unlike the 30-06. a 30-06 will go through a foot of wood, while a shotgun goes through 10", big deal. the slug holds it's energy for longer, and though it drops alot, it doesn't slow down much.
One more thing. If you can hit a SIX INCH target with a slug from a shotgun regularly at 200 yards like you said you can..... you should be posting that video! I have NEVER seen or heard of ANYONE making a shot like that!
This comment makes me doubt anything you've said that much more. Also... it does slow down much lol. It's called drag coefficientcy. Look into it a bit lol.
@Jeff3230 it is for me anyway, I freaking shot a bird a 100yds, with a freaking pellet gun. I have probably one of the most consistent grips you'd ever see, I hold it exactly the same each time, I can hold it rock steady for 5 minutes at a time, and I can maintain amazing groups. with a bb gun in my yard I could keep 1/2" groups, and with a 30-06 at 200yds I could keep a 1 to 2" group
@drewnickel It has nothing to do with your "grip". It's called ballistics and MOA of a gun. It doesn't matter how good your aim is the gun and round can't do it. you're digging this hole deeper. look back at what you've said here it's all very far feched. It's just what you say. That's like me telling you I free hand the 50bmg and shoot though 12" squares of tank armour at 1200 yards I'm giving you facts you can look up. Not impossible shots or info that contradicts what you can easily look up
@Jeff3230 everyone downs the 12-gauge, but I know as a matter of fact, that a 12-gauge or any nice slug gun will go 200yds accurately, and keep in mind that the sabot slugs are going nearly 2,000fps. so yeh, it's more like a rifles, but it still is a slug gun
I own MANY guns. If you take a look through mind and Heather's videos you can see that very easy. I DO NOT down shotguns of any kind. We own a few ourselves. The 10 gauge 3.5" is Heather's favorite gun. We also have a .270, 30-06, 243, 22lr, 300 win mag, AR-15, 44 mag, 45 ACP, 357 mag, 22 mag, and looking to buy more. We shoot these guns for recreation all the time.
@drewnickel It's very simple. A 12 gauge slug of any kind in any kind of barrel will not make a 200 yard shot on a 6" target consistant! Watch the long range slug shooting videos right here at youtube and you'll truly get a feel for what happens at 200 yards to a slug.
Tell you what.... can you tell me the MOA for the shot at 200 yards? How high did you have to adjust your scope to make the shot?
@Jeff3230 I don't use scopes on my shotgun, I use an open sighted barrel, it took me a while to find the right angle, but it really doesn't drop much while using a 340gr slug at over 2000fps
@drewnickel ok kid this is my last comment and hope you learn that lying is bad. You TOLD ME YOU USE A RIFLED BARREL AND SCOPE!
You didn't even try to tell me what the hold over was! You know why? You don't know! I've been looking into it. There are videos of it! And so you know if you are shooting consistant 6" targets at 200 yads with a slug you would be using a scope and would know the MOA right off the top of your head. BTW "it really doesn't drop much"? Try 3 feet!
@Jeff3230 3ft isn't much, a normal slug will drop more than 5 ft before finally stopping. and I don't use scopes because I don't have the money to pay for a shotgun scope even worth using on a 12-gauge magnum. also, I don't have the time to figure out how to adjust scopes right now, all the gun's I've shot have already been pre sighted in. except my airrifles. besides, I won't need to know that until I have my own rifles, I've shot alot of rifles but I only own three
@drewnickel You're still showing you don't know much about guns. 3 feet at 200 yrds is a shit load. It shows the VERY POOR ballistics of a slug and why you can't make a consistant 200 yard shot on a 6" target with one. The statement it will drop more than 5 feet before stopping is even worse lol. It all depends on the angle the gun is fired from on where the bullet will stop and how much it drops before it does lol. My advice to you is to studying this stuff more before starting to lie about it.
Does this gel last for a few weeks at room temperature, or melt. My daughter and I like to shoot BB's and pellet guns in our "Hallway Shootin' Range", but her CO2 pistol fires right though our beer case targets (even with 3 inches of foam lining). I still need to repair her bedroom wall from embedded BB's?
@brook61 No, its a food based and mold will form. I made some a few years back for a science project and i kept it in fridge for later use and it got mold and smelled terrible and gets goey. But what you can do is remelt the block and use it again.
@brook61 it'll melt at room temp, it'll eventually mold, so remelt it every once and a while. and also, put a plywood board behind it, cause unless your shooting a gamo hunter extreme at that wall, it's gonna stop it, and it can even handle low velocity .22lr rounds

Just made one today (about 12 cups worth) but I put a water ballon filled with fake blood in the middle. Should be pretty fun to shoot with the Mosin-Nagant I bought the other day.

Cool...I've never made any before but now I will. I think I'll shoot it with a pistol though; you didn't get much life out of yours with the shotgun LOL
texaswader 1 year ago
build it in a block with these dimensions and it'll take several shots, 12"x12"x24", and that size ill let you test out 3" slugs too. so enjoy, and also you can thicken the gel to make it tougher and more animal like to show what it does to animals such as deer and bear. this block will stand up to a .50bmg for the record so you should go get your beast and shoot that block with the .50bmg
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 I use really thick gel and mine can stand up to the 375h&h without even moving, the .50bmg it just baloons out when it's hit and then the bullet keeps going.
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
LOL I take it you missed the part were I said it went through 2 BRICK WALLS and the gel? There is no way a 24" block of gel is going to stop a .50 cal bullet no matter how thick you mix the gel. If it's was 24" and solid it still will not stop a .50.
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 I told you, it doesn't stop the bullet, it can just survive being shot and come out with just a big fist sized hole in it. an brick walls aren't that big a deal, a 12-gauge 3" magnum will pierce a brick wall easily with slugs. and just for the record, at those high velocities, the bullet explodes when it hits something like water, watch mythbuster's test with the .50cal and water, at 2ft under your considered safe. also, 100yds isn't a problem, my pellet gun can do 200
drewnickel 1 year ago
drewnickel
you kept saying "could stand up to".
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 a slug is heavy and slow moving, and so it doesn't experience as much shock on impact with the water. an equally heavy bullet at warp speeds is going to produce so much pressure on impact (around 3 million psi) that the bullet explodes. so that's why the slug kept going and the .50cal stopped instantly. the .50cal is meant for lightly armored vehicles, not soft and watery tissue like slugs are.
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Dude... every gun they shot at an angle stopped within a couple of feet.
HeathersVlogs 1 year ago 4
@HeathersVlogs have you shot water with a shotgun slug? my shotgun could fire several feet into the water and still damage whatever it hit. the .223, .50, .30-06, ext all blow up because of the sudden change in density. if your being chased by a maniac with a rifle, jump into a fairly deep pool and your safe, if it's a shotgun, hide and hope your not found
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Kid... you're starting make a fool of yourself and it's getting worse with every comment you make.
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 and in real life most of the time it's the same, they were using hollow points, while I only use flat heads and round nose slugs. and yes I know it's true, cause I've done the expirement , I know what happens, and there are guns that can fire underwater, such as the 9mm glock, and I wouldn't reccomend it, but you could probably go underwater with a shotgun and go fishing, you'd just have to waterproof the gun first
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@HeathersVlogs Can you dry out a block of homemade gel and put it on your desk after you shoot it?
Fightnight92 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Actually.... I just watched the Mythbusters videos again about water and gun test and the slugs don't do as much as the other guns in water. Even shot straight down the most it done was 2 to 3 feet. The other guns shot a lot furthur stright down than that. But when shot at an angle none go very far.
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 the shotgun still went more than 8 ft in, while the high speed .50cal fragmented at 3ft. the slugs are soft so they just bend instead of exploding, the copper jackets are hard, and shatter when they hit something too hard to penetrate. if you notice, hitting water is about the same as hitting concrete, but the shotgun slug's massive weight keeps it goin
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 yes it does, shoot water with a low speed slug and you'll see, I shot into a swimming pool with my uncle's 30-06 and it never touched the bottom, and the shotgun slug, blew clean through the bottom. I also shot with an 800 and 1000fps pellet gun just as proof, the pellet going faster expanded violently and stopped, while the slower one kept going and left a ding in the bottom
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel SIMPLE QUESTION. Then why does the footage on the Mythbusters video here at Youtube not support what you are telling me you did? Are they faking the footage some how? Your whole arguement is based off that footage. It isn't backing what you are saying?
Also the most used guns for hunting big game is not a slug. It's a high powered rifle! Why is that? Still not supporting your own theroy.
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@drewnickel Let's think for a second. If you take a blut 1" rod and a sharp 16 penny nail. put them on your leg. Hit the rod with a 10 lbs hammer. Then hit the nail with a 20 lbs hammer. Then tell me which one goes deeper lol. It's that simple!
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 it was designed for anti material uses, while a shotgun slug was designed for hunting. and no, a 650gr bullet in a .50bmg will go at 3350fps, yes the 800gr is slower than the others, but the 800 gr will also go further into the water, it's like throwing a rock, and throwing paper.
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 there's more pressure on the lead if it's going faster, so it slows faster too, the shotgun slugs are moving slower and have less pressure on them, so they can go through water like your dropping a rock in it
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel This "more pressure on the lead" theroy that you've came up with is totally against the laws of phsics lol. The main one it's against.... for every action, there is a equal and oposite reaction.
Can you tell me this? Why can't a slug penetrate a bullet proof vest but any high powered rifle can with ease?
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 100yds, is crap, I can hit a 6" steel plate at 150 to 200yds with my mossberg 500 and 3" slugs. the 30-06 has more penetration, but why do you think more people hunt with slugs? cause slugs aren't slowed by brush, unlike the 30-06. a 30-06 will go through a foot of wood, while a shotgun goes through 10", big deal. the slug holds it's energy for longer, and though it drops alot, it doesn't slow down much.
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 it's easy, get a nice rifled barrel, a scope, and some 3" sabot slugs
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
LOL yea it's that easy.
200 yards on a 6" target with a 1oz slug cosistant. With any gun rifled or not.
Funny how everything I've read doesn't support that either.
I've been shooting for about 25 years. I make a living shooting guns. I can tell you... no one makes that shot consistant.
It's getting very deep in here lol. I need to get my boots on.
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 it is for me anyway, I freaking shot a bird a 100yds, with a freaking pellet gun. I have probably one of the most consistent grips you'd ever see, I hold it exactly the same each time, I can hold it rock steady for 5 minutes at a time, and I can maintain amazing groups. with a bb gun in my yard I could keep 1/2" groups, and with a 30-06 at 200yds I could keep a 1 to 2" group
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel It has nothing to do with your "grip". It's called ballistics and MOA of a gun. It doesn't matter how good your aim is the gun and round can't do it. you're digging this hole deeper. look back at what you've said here it's all very far feched. It's just what you say. That's like me telling you I free hand the 50bmg and shoot though 12" squares of tank armour at 1200 yards I'm giving you facts you can look up. Not impossible shots or info that contradicts what you can easily look up
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 everyone downs the 12-gauge, but I know as a matter of fact, that a 12-gauge or any nice slug gun will go 200yds accurately, and keep in mind that the sabot slugs are going nearly 2,000fps. so yeh, it's more like a rifles, but it still is a slug gun
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@drewnickel It's very simple. A 12 gauge slug of any kind in any kind of barrel will not make a 200 yard shot on a 6" target consistant! Watch the long range slug shooting videos right here at youtube and you'll truly get a feel for what happens at 200 yards to a slug.
Tell you what.... can you tell me the MOA for the shot at 200 yards? How high did you have to adjust your scope to make the shot?
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 I don't use scopes on my shotgun, I use an open sighted barrel, it took me a while to find the right angle, but it really doesn't drop much while using a 340gr slug at over 2000fps
drewnickel 1 year ago
@drewnickel ok kid this is my last comment and hope you learn that lying is bad. You TOLD ME YOU USE A RIFLED BARREL AND SCOPE!
You didn't even try to tell me what the hold over was! You know why? You don't know! I've been looking into it. There are videos of it! And so you know if you are shooting consistant 6" targets at 200 yads with a slug you would be using a scope and would know the MOA right off the top of your head. BTW "it really doesn't drop much"? Try 3 feet!
Jeff3230 1 year ago
@Jeff3230 3ft isn't much, a normal slug will drop more than 5 ft before finally stopping. and I don't use scopes because I don't have the money to pay for a shotgun scope even worth using on a 12-gauge magnum. also, I don't have the time to figure out how to adjust scopes right now, all the gun's I've shot have already been pre sighted in. except my airrifles. besides, I won't need to know that until I have my own rifles, I've shot alot of rifles but I only own three
drewnickel 1 year ago

@brook61 youre shooting a gun indoors? you're a fucking retard.
licmy3balls 2 years ago
@brook61 No, its a food based and mold will form. I made some a few years back for a science project and i kept it in fridge for later use and it got mold and smelled terrible and gets goey. But what you can do is remelt the block and use it again.
Spike2222 2 years ago
@brook61 it'll melt at room temp, it'll eventually mold, so remelt it every once and a while. and also, put a plywood board behind it, cause unless your shooting a gamo hunter extreme at that wall, it's gonna stop it, and it can even handle low velocity .22lr rounds
