wow great job! i'm doing some research to build my own , and what was that sheat of glass thing? and what is your 2 layers who have contact with the snow keep up the good work!

I am not the builder of those skis but I have built skis before. The center of the ski is a laminated wood core. The "sheet of glass thing" is fiber glass. Different weights and weaves will provide different stiffness and damping. Check out ski company site for more info on the base and top sheet materials.
