A corporation isn't fisically a person, it's not a living thing, it's a building and machinery. You can't sue a pirce of concrite or put it in jail, but according to the law, the corporation IS a person. Nothing hapens to the people who run it because, the corporation (an unanimated piece of concrite, which you cant put in jail) is guilty, this means that the people can do what they want or at least they feel like that.

It is all good and fine to blame capitalism for the way CEOs behave at their jobs. You can't sue a pirce of concrite or put it in jail, but according to the law, the corporation IS a person. Nothing hapens to the people who run it because, the corporation (an unanimated piece of concrite, which you cant put in jail) is guilty, this means that the people can do what they want or at least they feel like that.

This is important to note. The realization that a single person does not hold or yield the power to cause issues of unemployment, pollution, fraud, etc. The CEOs are easily and always replaced. CEOs and can be seen as victims of the corporations they serve because they are required by contract to do what is most profitable--even if it goes against their morals. Unless they happen to own enough shares to out vote any other group of share holders in the company, they are just another employee.

People also get laid off because of the mechanization of production of physical and non physical wealth...Technology is GREATLY increasing this. Therefore, Slave wages(service jobs) are greatly increasing along with diminishing purchasing power of lower classes.Growing debt is needed along with growth. Nature...does not only allow all sorts of behavior, it endorses specific behavior. Whether in the animal kingdom, where animals fight for territory, fight for mates, and eat eachother, or the nature of the world made by "humans" per se, where greed, corruption, hatred...where EVIL is endorsed, supported, and rewarded. Flesh and blood humans are warm bodies. They need something to run it. What runs it determines what that person will eventually be. Evil, or not. Straight from the source.

I understand the filth and shady practices that go hand-in-hand in the corporate world. However, these practices come from people, not the system per se. Capitalism isn't intrinsically wrong, greedy acts are. I actually believe "less is more" when it comes to extra legislation. As scary as industrial power can be by itself, our society won't be better off if we add incompetent and unaffective government into the recipe.

I must disagree with you. Capitalism is really a fundamental justification for greed. Of course, it takes people to make it happen, just like cogs in a machine. However, the cogs can only spin in the direction they were designed to, or they break.
There is little evidence to say that private (as opposed to Public sector) companies are any more efficient than government agencies. People tend to talk about "incompetent and unaffective government", but few stop to think about it. It's a cliche.

Government is indeed incompetent in doing business. but governemnt must be competent in dispensing justice. Unfortunately, that is the one that government fared even worse. I'm for capitalism and limited government but I'm definitely against big business because big business and big government are the same. They simply change the term but the ill effects are the same. Monopoly capitalism is as evil as socialism because the are both controlled by the same people.

we must guard ourselves against any form of centralization of government. one world government is also another form of centralization and we must be aware of the evils of OWG. Look at these huge bailouts, they are meant to centralize the society. What we need if freedom, whether its religious, civil, political or economic freedom. And whether we like it or not, capitalism and free trade is the only form of economic freedom wherein one can do woth his money without threats from the government.

It seems to me that capitalism and free trade is the fertile soil from which these evil corporations grew. Capitalism breeds competitiveness. In competition there is always a winner and a loser. This thinking is the root of the problem.. in my humble opinion

By definition something competed for is attained by one and not the other. If ordinary people are the winner then there wouldn't be a problem would there. However the corporation is the winner at the expense of the people that the corporation should truly be serving. I see what your point is, but I disagree that the theory of competitive captilaism can lead anywhere else but where it has.

Shareware, not freeware. There's a difference. The corporate structure was imposed by Canadian funding agencies. You can't qualify for funds unless you're incorporated. The company is private, not publicly traded. If you support the film, support the filmmakers and other crew who share revenues. We all have bills to pay and want to keep making films. Where's the shame in that? Thanks for the support.

Correct. We can only vote for the right candidate. Even if the candidates who are capable of winning are sometimes compromised. But that's because they have no choice other than compromise something for something more gravely important. Hillary Clinton has to be diplomatic. She is not even compromising. She has to speak more conservatively. That's all. If she did not do that she would be cast out before the competition even started.

People will either instinctly side with the government because of loyalty or because "freedom of speech" comes into play if you just blame the corporation, but if you blame the government you are harrassed and spat on. Thats the way people are purposely or by accident, its not about who is guilty its about who can be blamed and "found guilty" the easiest.

This documentary is similar to Michael Moore's in the sense he manipulates his information to seem more extreme than it actually is. But yes corporations are fuckin evil as hell everything would be better off with the necessities that produce life ie water,trees which produce oxygen so we can live. humans suck as a species.

Maybe, but the gov't did the killing and set up the regulations that drove/led Shell to its ends. Corporations are not evil, people are. And there is nothing more evil than the people in a corrupt gov't granting special priveledges to orgnaizations or groups, i.e. corporations, churchs, Unions, AARP, etc.
