Really the best house came from the U.K and i am from the chi but new york n jerz came with the break beat and techno house. The U.K fused all of our styles and made straight up classics. To the extent where the U.K is really the house/soul music capital of the World right now. Undeniably.. Brrrrrrrrraaaaattttttt!!
@ZUDAH1 If your from the Chi you should know that house and rap hit here in the U.S. at the same time with rap obviously winning over the mainstream. It was at that time that the DJ's from Chicago went to the UK to find a format for their craft. So yes you're right. The UK is definitely the capital for house but it's due to the migration of the original DJ's from CHICAGO!!!!! Please believe and don't get it confused.

Hardly. House is House and has always been House. As a Chicago Rush & Division St. DJ FULL TIME for 9 years I would know. From PS Chicago to Mother's to Eddie Rockets.
Hey Chi town we was jacking in NY showing our love just as well between NY & Chi town history was being made after all Frankie Knuckles and Larry Levan grew up together how you think the music was being promoted back in forth
see the godfathers of house live in LIVERPOOL june 7th 2008 , at the carling academy BACK TO THE OLD POOL with steve silk hurley , fast eddie , sterling void + jesse saunders , joe smooth
If you listen very close you can see that this sound kind of sounds like the Village people! thats not a bad thing. victor Willis the lead singer of Village people was an accomplished singer.
NYC gives Chi it's props for house. We ran with it. We kept groups like JM Silk in heavy rotation at clubs like Paradise Garage and club Zanzibar. We ain't hatin'. House music forever!
Type in: "Mr. Fingers Can You Feel It", "Phuture Acid Trax", "Armando Land of Confusion", "Adonis The Poke", "Jason's Revenge No Name" on Youtube and you'll see Chicago House is superior to New York. Chicago started House, Acid House and early Techno. Peace
@mas7ro what?????? there isn't nation for house i know master tune from london( those guy - tonite) from venice ( sueno latino)- from new york( pqm) from everywhere
i believe you are thinking of CAPELLA with "U got to let the Music" i was thinking about it aswell when i heard this, and that song is on youtube. i think they must have gotten inspiration from this JM Silk track. Many of the early 90's songs took inspiration or "borrowed" if you'd like from 80's track. like Leila K (Rob and Raz) did with "Electric" which took it's hook from SHALAMARS "Give Me Tonight" hope this helped. Chi town 4eva! / scanda
the words "you got to let the music move your fet" is what they stole from this track and thus it's only sung a few times in this song it's an easy steal to get away with. in the cappella track it's all over the place...

it is where they took from yes.
a bit more speeded up.
