  • THIS IS NOT FILMBRAINS VIDEO! THE FOOTAGE OF HIM TALKING ARE FROM HIS EPIC MOVIE REVIEW!

  • to assholes who think he actually hates this movie. he doesnt. he just has a sense of humor about himself

  • @alsander124 @gaiamegu64 What the fuck is with some comments lately from people not realising this is a joke video where I edited his footage to take it out of context for laughs. I stated this at the end of the video for god sake.

  • Suburban Knights was still my favorite out of all three annverseries. I found it the funniest.

  • Thanks for this. It was hilarious. I'm a fan of TGWTG and personally thought that Kickassia and Suburban Knights were better than a lot of the gross-out, sex-ridden "comedies" in theaters right now, but they are obviously not perfect and this edit brings that to notice in an extremely amusing way. While Epic Movie and Suburban Knights both mock many tropes in popular films, I think SK was better, if only because the jokes were considerably more clever.

  • @TheLitCritMisfit That, and the jokes were written by people actually familiar with the content and able to make a proper joke out of it.

  • Lol, know one knows this was a joke. Good Job, Film Brain.

  • Damn. Just like it for what it is. Or don't. Its clearly supposed to be fun for the people making it. Seems to me that FB simply has a different sense of humor. Frankly I think it was a mixed bag. I liked some it - but some I found to be tedious. It was a step up from Kickassia. I guess my question is why...was he in this movie if he hated it so much?

  • @jetfa9 Sounds like someone didn't watch the credits and just shut the video off before it ended.

  • wow....i just stop liking flim brain this review was complete rubbish X(

  • I like Kickassia and Suburban Knights brilliantly.

  • I still like Suburban Knights, but this is a very well done piece of satire. While Matthew Buck is good in the specials (like it or not you have to admit he goes for it), I've never been a big Film Brain fan, I feel like he lays his character on with a trowel and it's too much to take. Also why I don't like Nostalgia Chick, she doesn't even seem to like the things she claims to like. Anyhow, nicely done. I actually didn't know about this until I heard Brad and Phelan commenting on it.

  • Suburban Knights was funny the first time I watched it, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I wasn't bored by some parts even then, and watching it again thinking I'd get the same thrill I did find it a bit boring and predictable. Kickassia was better, IMO.

  • Even though I liked the movie, this was still funny and very well put together. The anniversary films are definitely hit-or-miss and the pacing is often uneven (2 hours is a lot for a silly comedy) but I still admire the effort they all put in. It's just a bit of no-budget fun.

  • Kickassia was fun because it was so bad it was good. SK was sooo boring I couldn't get through it.

  • THIS IS A FAKE! The creator just use clips from Film Brain's previous reviews. Film brain doesn't hate this movie. In fact, Film Brain was in the move. He works for the site. Also, this move was awesome.

  • @nwing00 It blatantly says that this is an edit. Also it's only from one review, the Epic Movie review, to show how similar the two "films" are and how both are shit. Take your fandom goggles off.

  • @nwing00 Of course it's fake. It's a funny little thing we call SATIRE.

  • I love him. He's amazing.

  • Jesus, I hate this guy. His reviews are lamer than the movies he slams, his wannabe Nostalgia Critic antics is a pathetic, epic fail. And his fake angry attitude is just sad. It's funny when Doug gets angry because he's naturally funny. Doug doesn't have to go through an entire video like he's wetting his rag.

  • I like a lot TGWTG's content and even I didn't care for Suburban Knights. Kickassia was much funnier.

  • Film Brains Bad Movie Beatdown series is not going to be to everybodies tastes because of the voice. But I would like to encorage those out there who find him annoying to check out his projector reviews in which he is a lot more natral in his presentation. I think many of you may change your minds about him.

  • This is fucking amazing, you deserve all the internets

  • Why does this guy speak like a total fucking retaaaaaaaaard

  • This is hilarous! XD Well done on the editing!

  • Guys quit hating on SUburban Knights it was made to be cheesey and hammy. That's why it's funny callling it a real movie is like saying HArry Potter and Twilight are the same. THey aren't meant to be taken seriously they are meant to be made fun of and chuckle at. I agree that they aren't good but they aren't terrible. ironic that an actor of the movie is calling it worthless unfunny sh*t when he's in it. really film Brain? -_-

  • @TheBenjamin109 You do know that this is not a real review? This was edited together by a tgwtg- fan. Film Brains comments are taken from a review he did on Epic Movie.

  • @thedemonlover thanks sorry I didn't know :)

  • @TheBenjamin109

    wow you are stupid

  • @StPatrickDayMassacre No I didn't know it was edited that doesn't make me stupid.

  • @TheBenjamin109

I like much of TGWTG's output, but come on - they earn money off of riffing and nit-picking. Is it really so bad that someone put them on the receiving end for a change?

  • He makes some pretty good points lol...it's true that the anniversary movies are not what TGWTG do best.

  • Troll Brain.

  • The irony is that FilmBrain almost makes Doug look like a mediocre actor rather than a terrible actor. Because he does the same, and even worse, shit than Doug. For at least Doug (at a time, he does now) do running gags that have little point and just try to make sarcastic comments.

  • I like many of the TGWTG.com reviewers (NC, CR, Spoony, Phelous, Linkara; Brad Jones and Obscurus Lupa are OK for me too, even though I don't really care about the stuff they are reviewing)

But I can't enjoy their anniversary movies, I don't find them that funny and I just don't like some of the people that are involved.

Especially Film Brain, I'd like to punch him in his face every time I hear him talking with his stupid accent und dragging out each sentence's last woooooord. >_>

  • Film Brain is really obnoxious, I just realised, this overly offended attitude, pointless screaming, and his generally stuck-up glare and voice make him just another unoriginal CA drone ranting on the same drivel as the others...

What a shame modern standards are so low...

  • I kinda see where you're coming from, it's true there were much too many references rather than jokes in SK, and the plot was more of an excuse to have the characters cosplay, but I still enjoy it if just for how they all interact, that I DO find much funnier than Epic Movie. But that's jsut me.

  • you are in this film btw

  • So Phelous and Brad Jones liked this video? Cool.

  • What the hell is wrong with you?

  • I know its out of context, but what opening song is that?

  • @mimuraritsu123 Ready to Roll by Jet Black Stare. Film Brain uses it all the time as his opening.

  • @poonoo87 thanks! Cause it sounds amazing. I think I should watch more FilmBrain ^^

  • @poonoo87 Be careful about that. He has permission from Jet Black.

  • @mimuraritsu123 I know, right? It's not like there is text 28 seconds into the video that directly states the theme music or anything like that.

  • I think what the Critic was going for was to parody bad movies and make fun of the fact that movies today use pop culture references WAY too much. Also, some movies like to rip off of popular blockbusters (Transformers=Transmorphers, Finding Nemo=The Reef, etc.), which is what this film was going for. I fully respect your opinions, and I do not plan on spamming nasty comments on your videos because of it.

  • This movie was not ment to be good and they never said it was good, it was also not a parody, but a what if as in what if the critics all went on an adventure.

  • @MrDreamblade What's the point of making a movie if it's not meant to be good? That's just an excuse for sloppy work, like how Star Wars fanboys will say that it's the will of the Force that Anakin and Padme were married when the romance in Episode II felt forced and unnatural.

  • @OtherGuy931 but the anikin padme thing WAS forced. Just like all the prequels. the phantom menace was cool, but sort of boring. episodes 2 and 3 sucked. the thing is this. Saying a movie wasnt ment to be good isnt making an excuse. its pointing out that it wasnt ment to be good. i hate when people say that what im saying means something else entirley. The movie was ment to be a fun thing for them to make and fans to get. why make a movie your fans wont enjoy. this movie also had no budget dude.

  • @MrDreamblade You need a budget to make good jokes? I'll admit that some jokes were good, but others were either stupid, or overdone, or they were funny until they explained it like the 2 Magic bit. By good I don't mean professional looking, I don't care if movies don't have a budget. By good I meant that the jokes had to be good, and like I said earlier the jokes in this movie were either hit or miss. If by bad you mean like a parody, then that's not what I'm referring to.

  • @OtherGuy931 I would just like to mention that Eraserhead and el Mariachi had much less a budget. Not to mention they bought a tripod....

  • THIS MOVIE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! One actor that is the guy with the hat is the one who stand out for me the Actions sceans are dulls its not funny and its a stupid show

  • So it's like a live action abridged series.

  • I will say this: I really enjoyed this video. I thought Film Brain had actually done this for the purpose of reviewing this movie, but that's how perfect a job you did of arranging the clips so that it would work. You got Brad and Phelous' approval too, so massive props for that!

The one defense I will give to the TGWTG cast that makes them better than the official parody movies: TGWTG take themselves a bit more seriously, even for a satire. And for me, it just feels like it was done right.

  • Well...He's got some balls :D

  • I liked that movie WTF?

  • That was A creatively to ironically ridiculing 'Suburban Knights' as if the people who mock, and ridicule pointless spoofs end up actually making A pointless spoof.

  • This is amazing! i love the way you edited it. It is amazing how much film brain's quotes fit in the context of the video.

  • This is amazing! i love the way you edited it. It is amazing how much film brain's quotes fit in the context of the video.

  • Me and my friends made a Bond movie when we were 11. It was better than Kickassia and Suburban Knights combined.

  • @NJdevilsswedishfan Unlikely

  • I wish i could go in front of his face and tell him to shut up!!!Or a special were the Nc does that yay!!!

  • wow thats the gay guy from the Suburban Knights movie!!!

  • i think there are some pretty good reviewers on tgwtg, but i honestly think film brain is not amongst them. i mean, his voice is so annoying and his argumentation is so weak that i can't take his reviews seriously.

oh, and good video by the way

  • Rather ironic (even though I know its edited) Film Brain is saying the same things FTA said about this film (well the first part) on his and NTom's commentary

  • This is amazing. It fits so well. Kudos.

  • Its funny because 'Suburban Knights' is basically if 'Epic Movie' had actual competence behind it.

  • @MaxButcher ...Implying that Suburban Knights was good. There's a lot more competence in there than in Epic Movie, but they're both still terrible, it's just that Suburban Knights' gags had a couple of hits in there somewhere, and Epic Movie's gags were all misses.

  • @MaxButcher and actos who actually give a damn about what they're satirizing.

  • Just think about it guys. People paid money for this.

  • What's the REAL movie he his reviewing?

  • @HersheyHemi It's at the end of the video, but Epic Movie.

  • Am i the only one that finds it funny that the TGWTG trolls like to treat them like they're the devil, when there are people who actually aren't funny and do stuff against the law (Here's looking at you IG) this video is just nothing more then another troll trying to make his opinion look like like fact.

  • @GhostBusta234 Nah. It's the annoying troll trying to point out that a lot of Film Brain's epic movies jokes could be applied to Suburban Knights. Because it's funny. Because, contrary to what you seem to assume, it's entirely possible to enjoy TGWTG and still make fun of it.

  • @Strannik01 It's funny, beause this isn't done out of comedy, it's done out of spite, if it was for comedy, i'd be find, but no, he's doing it to be a dickhole.

  • @GhostBusta234 I was doing it for comedy, if I was doing it out of spite I would have brought up how parts 2-4 dragged on and added nothing to the plot. And I would have put a bigger emphasis on the over the top acting getting really annoying, despite being intentional.

But I didn't, because I tried to make it funny. Example, the part with The Bum. I didn;t hate that scene at all, but putting the Bum in there with that particular Film Brain insult worked well because it is funny.

  • @poonoo87 Well you should of reworded your stinger better, cause it comes off as disingenuous.

  • @GhostBusta234 The creator of the video seem to disagree with you. That's the problem with ascribing motives to people - it makes it easier to draw negative conclusions.

Thing is, with a few exceptions Channel Awesome producers make fun movies/books/comics/music/what have you. Oftentimes, they make fun of stuff they genuinely dislike. And we laugh, because they do it in an entertaining way. But if somebody applies the same approach to TGWTG, it's somehow a bad thing? I don't see why.

  • @Strannik01 I would be fine with that, if the stinger not only didn't come disingenuous, but also if this wasn't the point TGWTG trolls like to pull when they try to justify the hatred towards TGWTG, and i'm not talking about opinion, i'm talking about yelling that they suck and anyone who has an opinion other then that is a fanboy and is told to fuck off.

  • @GhostBusta234 The stinger doesn't say they suck - you are inferring it from what you see as a derisive tone of the stinger. Now, is it something trolls could use to insult TGWTG fans? Absolutely. But this is not something that was done purely out of spite - otherwise, it wouldn't be nearly as entertaining.

(And, speaking of trolling the fans - are you a fan of Spoony? Because that's been this guy's schtick from the very beginning. And, I would argue, that made for some entertaining videos)

  • @Strannik01 Let's see, not only does the stinger attack the reviewers themselves, but it attacks the fans as well, like i said if it was just edited like this, with no douchey condescending stinger at the end, i wouldn't have a problem with it, and on the note of Spoony, the only time i've ever seen him attack the fan is the final fantasy games, and that was largely in part due to the disgusting fanservie (8, 10 and X-2 being the targets).

  • i don't understand how ''film brain'' would actually review a movie he was in and for the record what really doesn't make sense is he's treating this movie that was a small, funny, and harmless creation into a deep devlepment that would remind me to much as ''KAZAM'' and god how i never want to watch that nostalgia critic review ever again.....besides having which seems like a continuation of ''KickAssia'',i have absolutely no sense of why he would treat this movie like crap.......GEEZE!

  • Why isn't Linkara the one dressed as Link?

  • wow, so many hater comments towards tgwtg on this video when they don't even get the video. you guys need to get a fucking life.

  • it took me a while to relize its not his real review on the movie

  • Suburban Knights realy Sucks....

  • why are making fun of a movie that spoony was in?

  • My God. What was up Film Brains ass when he made this review? Why's he putting down a movie he starred in & everyone who was in it? I also like how he managed to stay clear of his obnoxious acting in these TGWTG movies. It sounds so hypocritical to "beat down" a movie you were in anyways.

  • @LA1423 You seriously don't get that this is a edited video? ROFL made my day.

  • @VillingDragon Probably didn't watch it the whole way through, but if he did? Even bigger LULZ

  • @LA1423 >_> Watch the end. He is reviewing Epic Movie. Some guy just cut and paste the scenes in.

  • Comment removed

  • @benitofinito Wait... you mean me or LA1423?

  • @Adlea13 Yeah

  • Wow, Film Brain really bites the hand that feeds him here. ;)

Seriously though, top notch editing here!! Spectacular video.

  • Oh my god you are annoying. how the fuck were you added to the TGWTG crew? and the Spoonyone made a review with you? I couldn't even watch it till the end because you were so god damn annoying, I don't know what reaction you are expecting when youre saying your stupid lines and the way you extend the last word you sound like a super-douchebag. Seriously. I'm so pissed off right now I could bust a testicle.

  • "Mathew, no!!! Did you really do this?"

    Lol

  • i found suburban knight excellent. I already didnt find film brain good, but now i think he is terrible because suburban knights is good and funny in my opinion

  • @jacousic well, it sure ain't no big-budget Hollywood movie, but for what I saw, "Suburban Knights" was a very good movie. It's sort of like mixing "The Goonies" with all 3 of the LOTR movies along with comedy/satire/parody through and through.

  • italianbubble

I found the jokes funny, including the ones that were references and the ones that weren't. It wasn't perfect, but it was fun.

now I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong, that would be stupid, I'm not even going to defend the movie. What I am going to say is- my preferences for humor are different from yours, and yours does not suit this movie. Now, there are many films that I accept as good, but do not personally like. When I run into these films, I ignore them and move on.

  • One thing I've been seeing most people trying to defend SK are saying, Doug Walker made this to cater to his fans. So only the fans would appreciate something like this.

But the problem I see with this argument is then Doug Walker must look at his fans as a bunch of simple minded imbeciles, that would buy into the shitty drawn out jokes that SK is filled to the brim with.

  • @italianbubble Thing that separates SK from Epic Movie or any others is that it actually knows what a parody is and does do parodies well in many cases. Yes, I freely admit even as a fan that allot of the jokes are drawn out. But it's not nearly as bad as epic movie, not by a long shot. I defend SK because I felt it was a solid parody made in the style of humour that the TGWTG crew know best.

  • @Nightmare060 I would just have to take your word on that considering I know better then to watch something like Epic Movie or SK.

  • The end music is awesome. Suom: Loppu musa on mahtava

  • Also, I can't help but entirely agree, if this is in fact your opinion and not just an attempt at comedy.

  • Comment removed

  • Is this a serious review? (i´m asking since Filmbrain we´re in the video, seems odd if he chose to make a critique so shortly after release). I fully agree with his point though, i thought this "movie"(?) was pretty awful even though i like most of the reviewers involved. I think they should have made something shorter, seemed like they had material for 15 minutes and stretched it to movie lenght.

  • @thepezdispenser

Damn, and then i suddenly realized how you made this, good work man :D

  • I'd say about 80% of it worked. By that I mean that anything not counted into that didn't properly apply to the clip context. Still, great effort. That said, I still enjoyed Suburban Knights and disagree, but good job on getting clips with good context.

Just to clarify on stuff I didn't think work in case someone asks, an example is the beam-o-war. Beam-o-wars are pretty much a cliche of their own so that line could have been used better elsewhere.

  • Oh man, when Doug finds out you are so fired.

  • This kind of annoys me because the point it's trying to make completely falls apart when you consider one fundamental flaw.

Film Brain's original review of Epic Movie was based around the concept that it was plagiarism, not parody. However, he's utterly wrong because Epic Movie IS parody. It's exactly what the parody clause in copyright law was designed for. He just (understandably) discriminates against it because it's a completely unfunny parody.

This video is a clever attempt, though.

  • Video was awesome. Comments though make me have to kind of raise an eyebrow. I don't get the whole like, twirl your mustache and cackle mentality some people have towards wanting to see them fail. The only real reason is a vague "They're douches on their forums!" which kinda makes me think maybe where ever this is coming from isn't quite so accurate.

Regardless. I enjoy the work of some of the reviewers. If you think reviewing makes someone scum. Start writing Roger Ebert nasty letters.

  • it's funny it's film brain who you make it look like he's reviewing this considering the fact that he's in it

  • Eh, you don't go to a tgwtg anniversary special to see a great movie, you go there if you're a tgwtg fan and you want to see them have fun/make jokes/dick around

  • @DannyCBrennan Yup, biggest thing the haters forget that they made this in just a few days, on a shoestring budget, made by nothing but amateurs and put it out on the internet for free.

  • Phelous approved, too

  • @Blodpuddingsuger fixed it :)

  • Heh you know what's funny? Brad Jones and Phelous actually have SEEN this video and actually mentioned it in their commentary of Suburban Knights Part 3.

(Go to Phelous's blip page for it. Youtube's a bitch about letting you post links).

Go to 11:45 of that video. Funniest part? Brad showed this to his friend Sarah who never watched Bad Movie Beatdown and thought this was Film Brain's actual review of Suburban Knights and said "boy he has balls dosen't he?"

  • Dammit film brain.... let's face it, breakfast is ruined

  • Look. I'm not one to consider the anniversary stuff "films"; they're fanservice, pure and simple. They have fun making it, fans have fun watching it, others have fun bitching about it and the cycle goes on every year.

They're not as bad as the Seltzerberg movies. SK at least has people making an effort & more jokes hit than miss. Honestly the overly defensive fans and overly negative haters piss me off equally; if you like it watch & shut up and if you hate it don't watch & shut up.

  • Phelous and Brad Jones said they really liked this video in their latest commentary.

  • If you dislike... Then i Will it your peaness!

  • I thought it was funny...

  • thanks for disabling mobile view. now I can't watch this on my iPad

  • @StevenAteYourDogs fixed, don't know why it was disabled

  • lol,I thought the movie was just okay. But this video was very well done.

  • @MartialHorror My videos are now Martial Horror approved. I'll make note of that the next time I make something.

  • Is Film Brain even aware that he's in the movie? XD

  • This is utterly amazing. I mean, OK, you're funny when you make fun of movies, but that obviously doesn't mean you can write one.

  • Nice looking parody on a BMB video! XD

  • TGWTG just flatout disgusts me. These people should move on to better things in their life, instead of treating something like TGWTG as if it were some sort of career. They need to get real jobs, use the education of what they have for better things, and stop being a bunch of bums expecting their fans to pay their salaries, so that they can make a living just because they make mediocre crap like walking around like a bunch of retards in hastly cosplay running around the forest like fools.

  • @Gigamyt3 Imagine what will happen to them if one day Blip becomes as strict Youtube, or these copyright laws get passed and they have to shut down. They're all fucked.

  • @Gigamyt3 Come on now Gigamyt3 stop being such a knee jerk twit. If they enjoy what they do, then thats all that matters. Instisting that they need to get 'real jobs' and so on is something some joyless, stuck-up old fart might say. So please save your disgust for things that actually matter.

  • @johnthecool1000 I'll bitch about whatever I damn well please. Don't like the idea that other people have different tastes and opinion's that aren't like your's, well to bad, to fucking sad.

  • @Gigamyt3 Well you followed up your knee jerk comment with another knee jerk comment. I'm actually not upset that your opinions or tastes differ from mine at all. On the contrary I enjoy reading through longer comments both for and against a given position. I just rolled my eyes and chuckled at your little over reaction and wrote a reply about how silly I found it. Your disgusted by TGWTG, you wrote a comment, I was amused by your disgust, I wrote a comment, its as simple as that.

  • @johnthecool1000 Good to know! ;)

  • @Gigamyt3 Sounds like you have a very closed mind to internet reviewing in general. Sorry if you don't like it, but the world has moved on and the better the technology the more people are going to make money out of it. Just because you don't consider it a "real job" doesn't mean they should all of a sudden stop doing what they and many others enjoy.

  • @Nightmare060 Alrighty then! :)

  • As much I liked SK (which wasn't tremendous; it was somewhat entertaining) I really liked this. Congrats. :)

  • Delicious, I love it! It's hilarious how well the criticism for Epic Movie fit into SK.

  • The best TGWTG video ever.

  • oops i didnt see the descriptions my fault

  • @BrianDavis1313

"perhaps meant as a subtle "fuck you" to the people who attacked SK"

Try the other way around :). Though the main goal was humour here rather than my opinion, even though I personally did not like Suburban Knights (especially since parts 2-4 had NOTHING happen in them and could of fleshed out the story rather than a lot of exposition in part 5).

  • Fucking brilliant.

  • I actually found the pea-ness joke funny.

  • Perfect, just perfect. This really should keep them quiet. What can they possibly say after watching this? Well anything relevant anyways. From here on out everyone at TGWTG involved with SK has no right to put down any parody film.

  • Review Shitty Movies.

    Make Shitty Movies.

    Makes sense.

  • OMG i barely realized what you did at the end! Well done.

  • It's amazing how it all just falls into place. Really funny.

  • Now I truly will find many flaws with SK. Scenes are too long, some jokes hit the lowest common denominator (admittedly makes sense seeing how one of the main audiences is teens.) and the bizarre want to make it "epic" is a ridiculous notion. While the commentaries do admittedly nitpick holes I would like to see a bit more critical review. But... what makes this better than any of them? You call them plagiarists. This is blatant plagiarism.

  • @fusionman29

Yes, showing clips of somebody is plagiarising them.

  • @OrreGot Look this is plagarism according to the law. All of the following are considered plagiarism: giving incorrect information about the source of a quotation, changing words but copying the sentence structure of a source without giving credit, copying so many words or ideas from a source that it makes up the majority of your work, whether you give credit or not (see our section on "fair use" rules)

Now what did this video do? Jackass. Do the research. (Yes like TGWTG will forget to do.)

  • @fusionman29

"giving incorrect information about the source of a quotation," He gave the source.

"changing words but copying the sentence structure of a source without giving credit" He gave credit.

"copying so many words or ideas from a source that it makes up the majority of your work whether you give credit or not " I guess Wikipedia is one big plagiarist playground then. And for that matter TGWTG, what with their taking clips from the movies they review.

  • @OrreGot I think you missed the issues. MAJORITY of the work. While there are reviews or videos that are breaking the law. 5 second movies in particular (Doug was dumb to defend those) but the key word is MAJORITY. If it's not a majority it's fair use. While you could use either side to defend LPers (hence the grey area) for Wikipedia especially it's fine. TGWTG is in the gray area I will admit. If the law truly decides to crack down fine. That's the law. (cont.)

  • @fusionman29 But tell me. How is this better than their work in any way? And don't use any subjective terms like funnier or more accurate.

  • @fusionman29

When were we talking about quality? I thought we were talking about plagiarism. And where did that majority rule come from?

The videos length is eleven minutes. If the clips used from TGWTG were five minutes and twenty nine seconds in length it wouldn't be plagiarism under your rule. If the clips used from TGWTG were five minutes and thirty one second, it would in fact be plagiarism.

  • @fusionman29 You know Nostalgia Chick flat out admitted on LordKat's podcast that they're fully aware what they're doing is against the law. Linkara was there as well and just pretty much got choked up, he couldn't defend it.

  • @italianbubble I forgot about that podcast actually. Thanks. Now I won't say that they should get away with it because they're famous. Now I will admit that the Chick is right and Wiseau had a case. If Wiseau got into a court case with Channel Awesome I'd be annoyed but not angry or saying Wiseau is wrong. Now I do wonder how they are as big as they are and haven't been sued or harassed (you got to admit less well-known people have been sued) but let time serve them what they've earned.

  • @fusionman29 Honestly TGWTG might seem popular, but on a grand scale they're not. In the entertainment world they're peons. Whoever it is that goes after copyrights infringement has bigger fish to fry. They're more worried about the big dogs stealing copyrights then to waste any time with someone like Doug Walker. It's actually the reason why they can only use Blip, Youtube doesn't mess around when it comes to shit like that. I think eventually this will all blow up in their faces.

  • @italianbubble In the entertainment world yes. They're peons easily. But among web businesses, economics and web comedians. They're bigger than anyone would expect. Big papers have covered Channel Awesome. As a business and what it may mean for the economic future but still. I don't understand the hate blogs actually. TGWTG and Irate Gamer are peons. Why waste your time hating on either?

  • @fusionman29 There's all different kinds of reasons why people hate them, but I'd say the majority are people like me who use to be a fan who spent time and money on these people but in the end got treated like shit. Their ego's are the reason why. As to why the blogs, have you ever been to anyone from tgwtg forums? I can understand banning trolls, but there's been way too many bannings just for having an opposing opinion. It's their own fault places like BS exists.
