mig-27 was da variant of mig-23

have a varying wing

yes the MiG-27 base on the mig-23 ,but the full cokpit nose and intake section is differend,but the MiG-23 is primar a fighter and the MiG-27 for groundattack. Yes there exist not muchvarying wing Aircrafts (Su-22, Su-24, Tu-22M Tu-160 ,B-1 F-14 ,Tornado)

i think you dont knew not much, well today the MiG-23and 27 are of corse no more suitabel for the frontline, but still efectiv enough for many missions they can still hod with a lot of other fighters araound the world.

i dont know but i think you are right, there exist also a line of books who are named red star and they are all about sovjet russian ukrain aircraft they are great and interesting, i think many sovjet russian aircrafts are very interesting
