it was like: silent, silent, nobody sees me.... and then: this is my opportunity! gooooo! ...jumped about 1 meter took a bite and immediatly ran away LOL he knew that he is not allowed to eat human food :)

the most part of the animals wouldn't chase people or fight back when scared! The point is to learn what the body language can mean and stop the pointless fear.

i wouldnt suggest an iguana or chameleon, most are mean and not good for starters. and most small lizards are jumpy and hard to handle. bearded dragons are a great choice for a small lizard but they can be expensive to keep, they need lots of heat and bulb. and they do better in groups. but if you have the time, space, money, and are able to feed bugs and mice you should definetly get a savannah monitor. best pet ever. mines dog tame and potty trained. his names goose and hes my best friend:)

Leopard gecko... hands down the best starter lizard. low cost, not a lot of space required, good temperament. I have 4 of them myself.
