i grew up with this song in the late sixties and seventies. Kenneth McKellar was a great favourite of mother, who was actually born on the exact same day and year as he was. She was very proud of this, and also sang wonderfully herself. Brings back wonderful memories on this rather sad Christmas week without her. Nostalgia is wonderful, but sad, too. Thank you.

It's almost the same, except of course for a 2nd voice.This 2nd voice though is excellent.The very underrated Irish Patricia Cahill was excellent in her native folksongs,she too made,like Kenneth,LP's with (Irish)folksongs.For your information:Patricia moved to Spain.Kenneth also did a duet-LP with (Scottish) Moira Anderson
