Whoaw ... Bravo en tout cas !

  • Hi! man that's really the best thing u could do in life! i wanna buy a honda dax too, but i have a question , the dax can only take 2.5 liters of gasoline right? how many hours cn u ride it then? and where do you guys gas up ? i mean in the mountains :D that's really wicked.

  • Indeed, the original Honda Dax has 2,5l gasoline content. In our cases, we have installed and addtional gasoline tank of 1 liter (approx). Depending the carb and the engine, as well of the kind of road we we can ride between 70 & 90 km. (2,5 litre) . Let's say that the additional 1 liter is considered as our reserve in case we don't find directly a gasoline station ....

  • minibikes rule that's a fact

    A+

et encore merci pour cette vidéo.

    Crouzou.

  • Great!Back to basic!

  • I had one back in 1976 and rode 25.000 km on it. Did some bigger tours as well. Today I am sorry that I finally sold it when I bought a bigger bike. Great Video. Thanks

  • Congratulations, your bikes are very nice and so is the landscape!

Did you encounter any problems riding those air/oil cooled engines (guess they are bored up to about 125cc) under full load but rather slow speeds when driving hills up?

  • Hi There,

In fact no technical problems were encountered when drinving up the hills. you lose approximativly 15% power every 1000 meter with these small OHV engines. So, when climbing up to 2800 meters, maximum speed is dramatiocally reduced. Of course, the average maximum speed is reduced to +/- 70 km/h maximum (compared to 110-120 km/h on a flat road). Thanks for the comment :)

  • Thanks for your comment :)

I asked you about this because I am currently planning a fuel injection system for my 125ccm engine in order to eleminate the caburettor and to save fuel: Maybe this is crazy, but it will be a nice kind of project...

    Regards from Germany

  • Actually, fuel capacity was one of our main problems in the French Alps. Some of us had an additional tank on the frame or a small botlle in the bag. Depending of your caburator, you're using more or less fuel. It's not because you have a big carb that you're using more fuel. Injection systems are already operational on the AMF125 from Honda for instance for the same kind of engine.

    Regards, Fred

  • Thanks for that information, I did not know about these little fuel-injected engines. However, I will try to design something similar for my Monkey/Dax/PBR vehicles. And I know that using bigger carbs does not mean more fuel usage but I prefer injected systems due to better fuel mixture generation compared to carbs.

  • absollument genial ca donne envie!!

  • Great video! Sign me in for the next trip!!!

  • exellent!!
