These countless nominations and no wins is beginning to be an embarrassment to the entire process.

It's been nearly 30 years and she has had to sit there 12 times and see the Oscar given to someone else when in fact she has turned in several Oscar worthy performances. I hope they don't make this #13.

The reason why she is emotional is because she has been nominated several times (more than anyone in history who has never won). This has been a long time coming and she deserves every accolade she receives. Don't get my wrong, I LOVE Meryl, but it was Kate's time now.

I'm not upset that Jolie lost even though she was great in Changeling. I'm just happy she was recognized with a nomination. It's a prizw itself because it means they thought she was good enough to be considered the Top 5 Best Actresses of the year. I have the same response to all awards. It's better to be nominated for a major award than to be snubbed for a nomination.
