I just read the short story, "On the Rainy River," about a young man drafted into the war and his moral dilemma. I don't like stories about war or even the objection to war but this was a very human story. it was about human emotion and the inner workings of the heart, mind, and soul. I absolutely loved it. I'm not sure I would enjoy his other stories that are more about his experiences during the war, but I will give one a try. Do his other stories offer up the human condition, dissected?
It's just so great how material like this is out there for people via YouTube. The channel has really revolutionized the transfer of information in the modern era. I can watch insightful interviews, obscure musical performances, personalized creative expressions... Now the only problem is mustering the self-control to turn it off!
Very intellectual man.
