Technicaly for placement you should ask your local fire department cause my dad is C3 in my town and has to look at blue prints for placements....and my house has about 10 total smoke detectors and it is a two story 3 bedroom house
The Fire Calls episodes are GREAT! We are trying to do the same type locally... what kind of editing program are you using and how do you get nearly 30 minutes of video under 100megs and still keep a good picture / sound.

@firecall Is there a weight requirement? I weigh 140 and im kinda short
5'6. (I'm starting to workout for muscle mass though)
and i just sometimes feel laime because when i look at firefighters, they seem like they weigh 200 pounds and are 6 feet tall
