The older is the best because they're often the cheapest ones to use to start a business on the web. Thanks for sharing us this tutorial at least I got information from this video.
@TheCytiboy umm..no it wasn't. And that wasn't an offensive comment; you make it sound as though I was bashing the guy. I just think that someone that is on Cnet should know what they're talking about. Sure, he's smart, but I was pointing out an error in case anyone wondered. :)
@scottishbadboy1 Personally, if I had 80GB of important personal data such us word documents, then I would still be happy with the same capacity. The thing that strikes me about this video is the power consumption on that thing. It wasnt intended to be super fast, otherwise he wouldn't have stuck to a simple PCI interface. Therefore, laptop HDD's and a pico PSU would have done. Still would have had many more rewrites than a 80GB flash drive to day (not including hybrids LOL). :p
Marketers representing industry RAID manufacturers later reinvented the term to describe a redundant array of independent disks as a means of dissociating a "low cost" expectation from RAID technology.[2]

Why buy a cheap raid card? it's probably worse than onboard at 9 bucks.

What is the difference in doing all this and just simply adding a huge second hard drive to your system to store all your files?

why build a redundant system with a cheap and probably unreliable raid card
