  • Sick, just sick. And he dropped 37 on Jordan. Few have bragging rights to that.

  • This was an extremely talented squad.

  • dont tell me players today are more athletic, so Jordan wouldnt dominate. Stop it, Stupid. Jordan, Clyde, David Thompson, Larry Nance, Dominique, etc. The only guys fuckin with them are Lebron, Griffin

  • @jagemobe You mean the only guys fuckin with them RIGHT NOW are Blake and Griff, but back in his prime you gotta throw Kobe in there, you could actually put KB in right now.

  • @Emil308 Blake and Griff are the same person, sir. and no; Kobe is a notch below them. A spectacular athlete, but not on Jordan, Dominique and Clyde's level.

  • @jagemobe My bad, I meant Griff & LBJ. Do u mean Kobe now, or are u comparing these guys in their primes? As for Kobe not being on MJs level, i'm with u there, but not on Dominique's or Drexlers level? That's insane bro, Kobe is a waaaay better player than Drex or DW. In their primes Drex and DW were spectacular dunkers and athletes, but Kobe is better than both of them. And I bet 95% people out there would agree. His numbers and titles prove that. Next to MJ, Kobe is prob greatest guard ever

  • @Emil308 I avoid arguments with appeal to popularity; but it seems I actually agree with you just about %100, I think. I wasn't comparing Kobe's skill level to Dominique and Drexler - they don't come close to the Mamba - but just their athleticism. A prime Kobe was close, but fell short of their explosiveness. As far as skills? Well goddamn. Kobe is top 2 all-time at the guard position, and perhaps top 5 or 6 all-time player overall.

  • Oh the roar from the crowd when he put it through the hoop with such authority it made Chuck Norris glance up from...whatever it was Chuck Norris may have been doing at that moment in time (maybe just the usual, roundhouse kicking some knuckleheads). Always loved it when the Cards would be on a run, get a fast break steal (to which the crowd would cheer loud enough), and then the emphatic finish that just causes a massive eruption.

  • Freedom Hall- Sunday, January 7, 1990 (CBS)

  • Have a vcr news clip of him dunking on me his soph. year in high school... the one and only time I was dunked on!!!

  • he jumped over you

  • I played against him in highschool 85/86. Thought he would be the next MJ, but things never worked out for him. The dude had mad hops with a on again off again jumper.

  • maybe LA smith would have had a better nba career is he just played hard and stopped trying to be jordan. I'll be alot of kids messed their games up trying to be MJ.therre's only ONE of him.

  • he was money with that fadeaway just inside the free throw line..

  • @azbaldy5

Very few people can say they dropped 40 on Jordan, he was one.

  • @RCTPatriot75 well actually Jordan dropped 47 on him, he had 37, but he had MJ pissed

  • @RCTPatriot75 Uh, no he wasn't. He had 37 (while giving up 47)... then got lit for (another) 47 (in only 3q of play, as MJ sat the entire 4th) the following night... while going 2 for 8 from the field. And that was the last he was ever heard from again.

  • Sick dunk...

  • labradford smith was my basketball coach

  • This is when Don MacLean was at UCLA

  • This happened in my birth year.:-)

  • Possibly the greatest scoring point guard uofl had behing DeJuan Wheat. LA was definitely the most exciting. He even once scored 37 on Jordan. I don't even wanna talk about what Jordan did to him a few nights later.

  • he scored 36 in the first half on la smith. he wanted 37...
