@MaximumD2 Yes, the race was stopped and Orange Crush was DQ'd for that hit and Seek-N-Destroy advanced.

@MidwestMonsters i've seen this on speed i thought (mabe different rules different place) that when u hit drivers it was a $100 fine because thats what it was when i watched it

@bloodhoun234 Some of our 2008 and 2009 events were on Speed, but I only recall one of them having an obvious door shot. It may have been our event, maybe not, but we've never had a $100 fine. In 2010 it was $500 and this year is expected to be even greater damage to the team.

mash, Bash & Crash attempted to use one at the September 2009 event, but it stalled before making the starting line. They put it in the free for all demo later in the night. Brief clips of it getting beat around are in the 2009 Round 5 video in my Channel

Lots of mid 80's Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham's, good to see them going out with a last ho-rah rather than going straight to crusher. Lots of big Lincolns to, the demo in Massachusetts I go to every year rarely has big cars anymore, it's mostly Tauruses and cars that size or smaller, and less and less entering every year.

I was there when Robbie Stahulak had to get cut out of the car it was so scary from that day on i alays <3 seek 'n' destroy btw is robbie still driving i didn't see him today when I went and orange crush won AGAIN :|

@crazykidomg Robbie Stahulak is actually #88 on Damage, Inc. He got slammed into the wall (from the passenger side this time) very early on in the opening race.

@Hypnot47 Not true. Cars are heavily modified to protect drivers from serious injury in nearly all types of crash scenarios. The door shot #22 took was obviously a rare incident. The driver's doors are heavily welded at the seems and bolts securing the body to the frame. This same type of crash with greater injuries occurs on roadways everyday. Yes, he was knocked out but had zero injuries from the crash. Its a testament to just how strong and safe these cars can be when properly built.

the drivers door hit was crap he may have limped away that night but the other driver should have a permanent limp if that was intentional (just saying if the brake lines went out or throttle stuck)

@vivitar45 these guys are fast and get some damn good hits but nothing like the old D.E.N.T series derbies that even have an enforcer for sand bagers and driver side door hitters a 11000 lbs 400 hp Chrysler imperial to enforce the rules to those who do not wish to follow them

im surprised they don't have reinforcements so that the drivers door wont cave in like that just a bar that goes from drivers side to the passenger side where the dash used to be and then one behind the driver seat that attaches to the frame and go side to side

Here in Pa there would have been a rumble in the pits for shure. Never like to see a hit like that unless it in on the quarter or fender.
