This reminds me of hanging out at my friend Paul's house in the late 1980's, when I was around 12 years old. We used to hang out in the basement and play this game when it was too snowy rainy to go out skateboarding. This brings back some great memoties! Thanks for uploading this!

No, actually I did it on my original Master System, because I wanted to sell it. So I thought this was my last chance to beat it. Ok, I admit that at the end puzzle with the floor panels, which have to be walked over in a specific order, I used a walkthrough :P

@SpyengoEen well even using a walkthrough, that's a hell of a game, extremely hard, like most of those classics with no save or password feature haha, when you managed to get to levels you've never reached before you get quite nervous. Btw excuse my English =)

@kotera18 Google search "freeze sms". It is an emulation of several 8-bit consoles, including the Master System. It has a mode which emulates the SMS II console that had Alex Kidd built in. Takes a bit of setting up and tweaking before you're ready to go, but it is not too difficult.

I bought this game from a kid down the street from me for $5 in like '88 or '89. He was selling a load of Master System games, trying to save up for a Genesis or whatever. $5 was a lot for a five year old and I wanted to get the most out of it.

That's why I hate this game with a passion to this day. I wasted all five of those dollars on this piece of garbage. It's a game to be remembered fondly by those who didn't get to play Mario in the '80s, and by no one else.

The truth of this game, is that it was so randomly thought up, it's lack of well-thought storyline caused this game to be coincidentally absolute genius, but due to the makers not having had a plot Sega themselves couldn't create a good enough sequel to such a great game and that's why we no longer have Alex Kidd games, and the few that we have are horribly planned games that are ok to play but can't compare to the legend of the game that is...Miracle World!

The Music is all wrong! It's way too fast. It's going in double speed. This will happen if the region is wrong. You can play the game but the music will not play at the right tempo. Maybe USA only had this version? In Europe and Japan the music plays correct.

Very good game though. I still have a copy of it :). If anyone should be interested you can bye it for the wii today.
