for Portal server 7.0 you have to edit file proxy-config.xml and then run the following command ConfigEngine.bat checkin-wp-proxy-config -DProxyConfigFileName="path-to-your-proxy-config.xml". Before you execute this command you have to set variables PortalAdminPwd and WasPassword in .../wp_profile/ConfigEngine/properties/wkplc.properties
In Portal Server 7.0, the Portal-wide Ajax Configuration Servlet appears not to be deployed automatically. At least, it does not seem to appear in my wp_profile/installedApps.
