  • Wow! That is great!

I want to play and sing along. Have you ever seen anyone do that? I know it would be hard because breathing can change the "note."

How did you connect it to your comp? What program did you use?

I have looked for a theremin pro but all I could find is the theremin plus! What is the difference? Thanks:)

    BOP

  • sounds like that old guy hurbert from family guy humming

  • I bet he cant play any tune, just humming alone standing behind a theremin XD

  • Nice! Love Patsy, and love theremins!

  • @rohanian11 Hi, you can click on my profile and click on "Send Message".

    ~Cheers

  • This is seriously very, very funny. What would be very 'spiffy' to do on the next vid would be to move your hand in such a way as to make the theremin cough...or to have both hands disappear but the theremin keeps playing. Better yet, "play" the theremin with just your pinky but do "flight of the bumble bee" If have one idea that is even funnier, but I could only let it go for cash. What a riot..

  • I think u Rock!!

  • Humming!

  • He's not humming it dumb asses.

  • stop using your mouth wap dego

  • Excellent pitch, carport888! Nice to see you using the Rockmore method. Thanks for posting.

  • Im sorry to say but I think this is a fake video. A theremin doesnt sound like that. And i clearly hear a male voice making the sound. And by the way its too perfect for a theremin. Look at the movement of his hand. A theremin is very sensitive so every mis movement he makes will be heard, cause of the magnetic field around the antennes. FAKE! Look up some real theremin movies and you will heard the difference.

  • @Maanhtje umm you do know that theremins dont all sound the same and theres knobs to mold the tone of the sound. and he does mess up the notes on some parts. and some professionals sound perfect if you didnt know.

  • jejje looks like your humming the song with some fancy hand movement..... Cool thoughm really cool

  • in the beginning, i thought you were singing. good job though!

  • You've gotten really good at this. Good to see you smiling with your success, I smile too. Peace, Mike

  • you bastard. you didnt play this, you made it look like you did. thats not a theremin noise. they sound more like a females voice than a douchbag humming.

  • how made that theremin???

  • muy bien carport888!!!!! 5 stars

  • hahaha this is a joke right ?

  • This is an instrument. =X

  • have you never seen a theremin before? lol they are well cool, look them up on wiki

  • Fantastic.

  • Nice work, Carport. BTW, where does Carport come from? Did it win out over Garage and Patio? :) D/vision is the brand name of a defunct non-linear editing software package ? used to use.

  • JACK IN THE BOX!!!!!

  • lol dope mage, you dont know what your talking about.lmfao at you!! do a little research before you open you mouth(type). this guy has got skills. world of warcraft rules

  • Do you know what a Theremin is?

  • Yes, I`m fairly familiar. However, this doesn`t sound like the Theremins I`ve heard. It sounds like a guy humming.

  • I hooked the Theremin directly into my computer to record it directly, getting a smoother sound with the timbre setting I used. You're right, It does sound a lot like I'm humming it...but I'm just not that good of a hummer. ;)

  • @TheDopeMage the pitch of a theremin can be changed !

  • *gives a standing ovation*

  • Wow, you really make me wish I practiced my theremin more. I have the same one. I can play melodies, but not quite as accurately as you. Awesome!

  • That's awesome. I'm always amazed at the skills of players like you. You can almost hear the words in the theremin's voice.

  • Dude, this is seriously sweet. I watched some of your other videos with you on the theremin, and I've got to say, you are AWESOME! Have you tried playing rock on the theremin?

P.S. I know you must get asked this a lot, but where can I get a theremin and what is the normal price range?

  • Thanks, dude! Theremins can range in price. I would highly recommend the one I have (Moog Etherwave Standard) as both a beginner and pro level Theremin. There is an Etherwave Pro, but they are now discontinued :(. Standard costs around $400. For a list of dealers, go to moogmusic dot com.

I posted a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody several months back, but I didn't like it, so I made it private. If you are interested in seeing it, send me a message. Also, I sometimes practice to Dragonforce! :)

  • Thanks for all of the kind comments! More videos to come soon!

  • You play magnificently!

    keep it up =)

  • Dan,great! I can see you've developed quite a bit of muscle memory. And your pitch has gotten better too.

Attention: Can someone please sell this guy a Moog Etherwave Pro Theremin? He deserves one. Watch his earlier videos and then watch this again to see/hear the amazing progress.

  • sound great! keep up the great work

  • Nice job. Thanks, and keep it up!
