  • I have recently named my daughter Alice so was listening to Smokie's song on youtube. I was very sad to find out that Alan Barton had died, he must have been so young? He was a talented man and his friends and family must miss him very much.

He did leave behind some great songs and performances!

    THANKS FOR VID

  • thanks for the tribute to my great uncle alan barton i love it.

  • I love the man

  • Alan Barton was a lovely man. I was at the Smokie gig after Valley Parade where Black Lace supported, and he smiled right into my camera lens. Then after he joined Smokie, I took my little girl to see them, and met Alan after. He was so lovely with her. Needless to say we were both gutted at this senseless tragedy, I cant believe it was so long ago in 1995. I am so pleased that all these years later someone has taken the time to post this tribute to a lovely, lovely man.
