@Vallecaucanisimo Some love this (like me) I love the feeling of my life being in danger hanging over a 100 foot drop. You are also 110% more careful when doing this. Youtube search "dan osman," if you want. Hes the best solo climber ive ever seen. He is dead though from testing a rope and it snapped. If you really love this sport I say you should die like this. I probably will die rock climbing but that is ok with me cus I love it. Lets not argue. :)

@youdevil6 That's just it, I don't wanna die doing any sport. I like to take calculated risks but it doesn't mean that I wanna die doing a sport. Of course you are going to be more careful but is not enough, skill will not make up for it. I just have a different take on it I guess. It looks fun though.

@LemonZeppelin Yes, but it is very debatable you know. For example, why if people get their high playing Russian roulette for example. What would you think then? Would you foster that kind of behavior? It is a matter of perception, what is acceptable to you is not to me and so forth. To me climbing without gear is a gamble, a risky one, nothing else.

I do accept your statements that people like this make the world more interesting. However, I believe the people in this video make the world a little bit dumber. But feel free to follow the hype!

@elfspicer it is dumb. it's an unnecessary risk. It's pointless. A rope doesn't restrict your mobility so a free soloist earns nothing but an adrenalin rush by climbing ropeless. there is a difference between taking risks required to get somewhere and taking risks just to prove you can. an alpinist always takes risks while on a summit bid, yet safety is still being used. free soloing is utterly pointless, it's like playing russian roulette.
