  • His whole room fits inside my MacBook Pro

  • is that an AMIGA???

  • @k1hungary

    Atari St u blasphemous!!!

  • I have no fucking idea what he is saying, but whatever it is, he is right.

  • good old studio setups. yeahh

  • Interesting but I prefer 100 X computer generated music, more cheap and powerful to reach complexity. Be serious, the problem today is that EDM is a total shit, they play and make the wrong music. I think that the musical scene today is so poor that you can't perceive how good are VSTs. It's all the same sound, sometimes more housy or electro or minimal but not a big electronic scene like in 90s.

  • Beardyman?

  • @ShadesOfRapture He was well respected in europe, jus to let you know.

  • I would love to see him compose camargue

  • Way ahead of his time!

  • welke mengtafel is dat ?

  • Genius.......genius.......

  • wow what a clip

  • I need this bomb track!!!!

  • does anyone know from which documentary this was taken? I remember it was about the rave scene and it contained some nice scenes in clubs ...

  • just as well by the sounds of it...

  • Did I see an Atari ST in there ? recognise those dings when you press they keys.

  • @turrican1024 yes this is an Atari ST1024, I own one :))

  • @biglover70 Hehehehe.. Me too... STE 1024 + 4Mb expansion. It also appears that he's using an early version of Steinberg's Cubase from what I can tell :))))

I still remember those days with the long midi thru chains, FM synthesizers and the 12bit samplers! :'-)

  • dont you miss the good old analog?

  • for one. can i do this with a kaoscialator. yes. and better, this is pathetic with a capital P,

  • @JFAINTER88 and you shouldnt be allowed to comment on this...

  • Loved this track, wounded it never got released. Maybe one day someone will find the tape.

  • Atari with Cubase or Notator, a Midi-Interface and a Sampler - thats all you need to make hits :)

  • CJ was in the Zone then, pure and simple..... shiiiiite, god bless house music!

  • what 'gate' did C.J. use in this clip ? Does anybody know ?

    The technique is great !!!

  • Cool he's got a Juno 2 above his EIII..

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the good old days..... that was extremely minimal computer use, love it. Today.... dont know, all the charm is gone cuz of FUCKING computer generated music which brings so much problems, too polished, too clean, too artificial stuff, sometimes you have to deal with all the fucken computer problems and viruses so you cant do anything until you fix it and some imcompetent people mix things too loud, fucks up the dynamics and we end up deaf hearing at the end, FUCK THE 2000s

  • @darkshiningstar3 BLAH BLAH BLAH

  • @darkshiningstar3 here here

  • @darkshiningstar3 Man you talk a lot of shit

  • Cool Stuff still have an Atari in my basement :-)

  • Thanks for this upload it's a nice little bit of history. Love the studio

  • wicked...this man inspired me back in the day!

  • wow, sitting in front of a big mixer with all channels running synths, fx and beats.... like in a spaceship - those were the times! I think I buy now an analog mixer only because of this video :D

  • AWE32+good modeling software=poor man's Emulator

  • Atari ST with SM124 monitor! Fantastic! Anyway ,Akai might be good, but I don't think anything could touch the charisma of an 8 thousand dollar E-mu Emulaor II or who knows how expensive EIII

  • that depends.

the emu emxes wwere much more reliable at the time.

while the akais in their rack form came handy when you used them wiht external controllers.

  • cj bolland 4EVA!!

  • The Master himself

  • I have no idea which track this is - if it was released it would have been one of his best!

  • Did the track being mixeddown get a release? - if it did must be one I missed.

  • Nope, this track has never been released. It seems that R&S lost the tape with the track.

  • Might ask Renaat to have a search lol - probably burnt in the ashes along with orpheus

  • @Andromatic a loss. sounded really good.

  • @Andromatic You sure? It sounds fairly similiar to his remix of the Prodigy's No Good, I think anyway :S

  • I see he was using an Atari ST.

  • Hi, everybody was using an Atari ST, Orbital, LFO, myself.

What else can u have in 1991!

  • Held!
