Your clothes spending hasen't fallen 14% has it DEMCAD? That is a new white shirt that you have on everytime you do a new vid. Sometimes under another shirt and sometimes just by itself but a new one each time, you will help save the economy. Thanks for the new vid, keep it up.
I wonder if the total retail sales are down because everyone was discounting so heavily before Christmas. Maybe people bought more items but the total dollar sales were less. Something to think about ... is there an inventory number out there to reflect the actual items sold? Of course Im out there buying so much guns, ammo, food, and future necessities that Im doing a great job contributing to retail sales! Keep up the great work - always enjoy your comments and perspective.
And just because you're buying more items, that doesn't mean that you're necessary spending more. For example, say you bought a diamond ring, 42" LCD TV, Ipod, and PS3 last year, but this year you've bought 2 blu ray movies, 2 pairs of socks, , 2 DVDs (from the bargain bin), shirt (from Walmart), microwave (from Walmart), a six pack of underwear (for Men) and a toaster (from Walmart).
Obviously, you've spent significantly less money this year. More items can mean less money.
cum on man lets get a 40 piece.

I have far too many white shirts. And plus being an Americorps VISTA, I'm living with a very small allowance.

I've noticed you've been looking leaner lately. That VISTA check, huh? ;)

Food is a very large part of a household budget
and is the last thing people seriously cut back on, so that accounts for the only 2% drop.

I read on bloomberg a 2 percent drop in november to december (excluding auto/gas) would make it the worst since 1969!

Would you try to sell something to someone who is dead? Of course not.Well why is the retail and the auto industry trying to sell to a dead economy?

The number of items sold is irrelevant if you're not making any money.
