  • One question regarding this recording. What kind of microphone do You use ?. I think the sound is very nice and natural. Is it all natural reverb from the room or is it added reverb ?

  • Hi Roslagsbanan. (som jag åkt med som liten..)

I use 2 AKG B 480 C microphones connected to my Canon 60D. On this video I only use the acoustics from the room. No added reverb. But on some older videos I use to add reverb because of the bad room.

    Tack.

    Per-Olov

  • Thank You so much ! I like being able to see the right hand very much. This helps with getting the techniche right.

  • I LIKE I LIKE SO MUCH YOUR VIDEO HD AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL MUSIC

  • I am new to classical, and you have touched upon what makes me want to study. Emotion given to strings, with attention to technique. You are a master, and I would guess that you know that. Let me say that you have caught my attention, and I will hope to grow with your influence.

  • Without your wonderful compositions, musical life would be poorer, Peo......

  • Life is like a circle and I can't help circle back to this wonderful piece over and over again! Lovely!

    LAM

  • Yet another stunning example of this your profound musicality! If and/or when this shows up on your site as tab/sheet music I will purchase it immediately. Excellent job sir.

  • this song is very wonderful and has so much sympathy and beautiful scales

  • Per-Olov,

Lovely arrangement. I admire both your music and video editing. You're pro. I love the melody. It's reminding of "Romance (Rene Bartoli)"

  • I love this type of picking, another wonderful tune Peo, I love anything you play you make every note sound beautiful, I have to get me a new camera soon.

  • Thank you!!! I like your tender sound.

    .

  • I can't help listening to this peace again... Thank you!

  • the only one who doesn't like the video must be deaf and blind

  • Melancholic but absolutely beautiful!

  • Meravigliosa!!!!

  • gracias

  • why don't you ever play rest stroke sir , i found that pretty curious ?

  • you are really really awesome:)

  • Hi Melissa,

Thank you! I subbed to you already. Looking forward to more.

(I also want to say that you don't HAVE to like my music because I like yours)! :-)

    Hugs,

    Per-Olov

  • my favorite from your composes .

  • Wonderful. Been listening to your compositions for the last few years and am always enraptured by them. People, this is what you call skill, dedication and love of music rolled into one.

  • Excellent in all ways. Thanks for sharing I enjoyed it very much!

  • sounds like vincents song

    and song of the lute

    final fantasy

  • Wow very nice!!!!!

  • I surely enjoy listening to you playing, but the videos show your instrument positioned in a way that makes me wonder how you support it. Since I have had trouble with positioning the guitar in my own playing, I am acutely aware of it when watching others. I would guess you don't use a foot stand but may use a bracket attached the the instrument instead. I would be very surprised if you don't use either. Happy to listen to your new posts.

  • Hi there.Thank you for listening to me.

I use a GITANO to support the guitar. Google it.

    Per-Olov

  • @Art95BE10meT I was asking myself the same question.

  • This song is absolutely brilliant. Very nice play on the Spanish sound with subtle English influence.

  • Thank you. I am honored.

    Per-Olov

  • there's 1 guy who likes squares, and not circles!

  • :-)

    Per-Olov

  • I think using the two cameras is a very good technique. Like most things in life, if you don't overdo it, a little editing is a very good thing! As is your wonderful music.

  • Love it! What video editing software do you use?

  • nice

  • Hello, I think this is one of the loveliest pieces I have ever heard. I have purchased the sheet music from you and look forward to beginning the piece soon. Marie is a very lucky woman! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful talents with us.

  • 5*****!

  • that 1 dislike, ghurt my feelings.

  • I really love your music.. I'm only 17 and I've been playing guitar for about a year now.. I'm not that professional but I am lookin forward to gettin your music from your website specially this one.. I'm in love with it.. I hope it's not too hard to learn.. I have some videos up too.. I'd really appreciate it if you'd listen to them and give me some feedback on it.. thank you

  • 1 person is deaf

  • EXCELLENT!!!!

  • I don't mind the 2 camera angles, as I often queue up several of your videos and play them in the background while doing other things. And it is always interesting to see both hands at work.

Thankyou again for sharing your music with us, I am able to sit in Australia and listen to your beautiful playing :-)

  • Whenever I recommend a finger-style to emulate for my students I think of 2 examples. Chet Atkins & you . absolutely fluid.

  • Thanks! I am honored. It's good to know you can show this to your students. Appreciated.

    Per-Olov

  • better than popular 'Romance'.

    BTW:

    Per-Olov

  • Very nice. Thank you for taking the time to share your work.

  • And thank YOU for listening.

    Per-Olov

  • Thank for you beautiful song an sound. I think thats is very very good idea to record with 2 cameras and post editing, the ears and the eyes are together (and rich to) the same maind. I hear how you touch all works of the guitar with love. Thank´s.

I´m sorry for my very bad english.

  • Thank you. I am happy for your kind words.

    Per-Olov

  • Man, that's beautiful.

But what would be amazing would be if you could do an adaptation of "Claire de Lune" by Debussy. I haven't seen anyone else make an adaptation of it... and knowing you it would be beautiful!!

  • Hi Mr. Kindgren!

Thanks for your great playing: superb tone, by the way!

You are inspiring a lot of people to look at good music and learn what the guitar can be.

I would like to ask: why don't you mention that the instrument you play is a "Classical guitar"? e.g. on your channel

(I often come across youtubers who want to know about your instrument, and I think mentioning "classical guitar" on your channel would be beneficial.)

PS: Keep up the great playing.

    Kind regards,

    John

  • Hi John,

Thank you for your kind words and suggestion. I have now changed /added the word classical on my channel! :-)

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Can't get cleaner than that. always a pleasure to here you-------------Paul

  • Thanks Paul!!

    Per-Olov

  • Hello Sir, I was wondering if your guitars were amplified? :)

  • I keep seeing your name coming up as people play your pieces, so I thought I would come by and have a listen to the composer. Very beautiful music & playing. I shall have a look at your website for something easy to try. Greetings from Canada. Sylvia

  • Liking this one. Nice work and as always it was beautifully played. The quality in your playing still amazes me.

  • Hey, great editing skills there, Per-Olov. Oops! Wasn't supposed to notice that was I?. . .;-)

  • Really beautiful. Thanks!

  • Wowwww amazing!!! :)

  • Beautiful! I love hearing you play.

Is that a Bam case behind you? I'm thinking of buying one. How do you like it?

  • Thank you. Appreciated.

Yes, it's a Bam case. Very good! Light and very strong! Get one!

    Per-Olov

  • Thank you Josie! Appreciated. I might not use the 2 cameras every time I post a video. It takes a lot of time to set up... :-)

    Hugs,

    Per-Olov

  • :-) Thank you very much!

    Per-Olov

  • hes be teh bouse sause yo man he coo

  • OK? Great? Thanks? Or...?

  • @AndanteLargo Oh, sorry -- my friend went on my computer without me knowing and wrote that as a joke :)

  • Hello .. For your guitar sounds so good? I wonder what brand it is or hard guy:)?

  • Hi there. I play a Per Hallgren. Please read the video info under the video.

    Kindly,

    Per-olov

  • Deaer Largo!

Can you tell how much time one need to learn playing this way as you does?

    Just for estimation! Thank you.

  • Wow... I don't think it can be measured in time... I have no idea. I played since I was 7 years old and have always pursued my goals. I am not practicing hours and hours every day but I play 1-2 hours during the weeks and 3-5 hours in the weekends. Everything depends on your talent and how easily you learn things...

    Just get going!! :-)

    Good luck.

    Per-Olov

  • Dear Per-Olov ! It's great to hear from You again !! God bless You !!

Katalin from Hungary (now from Borneo :)

  • Hi there Katalin! Borneo!? That's far away! It's good to know you are listening to me all the way from there!

    Thank you.

    Per-Olov

  • Hello Peo!!! Wonderful piece! Wonderful performance.

Marie is a very happy woman receiving such a beautiful dedication .... Congratulates. Barbara

  • Hello Barbara! Thank you! I hope Marie is happy too :-)

    Hugs,

    Per-Olov

  • The camera thing is an awesome idea, don't worry about it. :D

  • OK! Thanks! No worries then... Thanks!

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo

Hahaha, looks like the 2 camera thing really worried you. :D Don't worry, your videos would be awesome even if you were to record them with a cell phone. :) But I really like this recording style. And lol, it's funny how you got confused with that Spanish comment. I get em all the time and don't understand a single one either. XD

  • Back already Peo, anyone would think you don't like it over there!

Don't you mean a,m,i on RIGHT hand? Have I spotted a mistake (if so I may retire on what I intend to make out of it) or is my new discovered ability to view in HD affecting my eyesight...

Lovely music, looking great in HD too, good work amigo. Hope to see you soon, (and make some money).

  • Hi Mark! I would stay there for ever if I didn't have 60 students in Copenhagen demanding classes! You bet! Ups! a, m, i, of course! my mistake!

HEY! I am the one who will make money on our meeting! I am practicing snooker every evening after students. I'm Gooood now!

    See ya!

    Per-Olov

  • Hello my friend, this is once again beautiful.

  • Beautiful..

  • Another wonderful piece from you sir! I really enjoyed listening to it. Especially in HD..

  • your right hand technique is super clean and effortless..... im learning classical at college and seeing this is inspiring to what i could accomplish. so thankyou and keep it up!

  • Per-Olov,

Another beautiful piece. Always inspiring to me. This is the first video that I have seen of yours that shows the "up-close" hand movements. I now have a much better understanding of your position of your right hand. Love this shot for learning!

    Best Regards,

    Dave Osmar; Georgetown, Texas

  • Very beautiful guitar ballade.

  • I like the arpeggios and bass line interacting like that. The bassline transforms the sound into something classical but not romantic or impressionist or modern but easy on the ear. Thanks Per

  • Very beautiful melody!!! Thank you....

  • Wonderful melody and great feelings into your playing. Tommy Emmanuel on classical guitar. Keep this wonderful creations coming! Ciao

  • this is sooooo beautiful!!!

  • Is just beautifull to hear you paying.....I love it....great moment of MUSIC.....RAFFI

  • Dear Per-Olov,

you know I love your music and this again is a wonderful tune - I like it! :) And I like your video editing. Children want to play and we are children, aren't we?:) If I want to listen to your music alone I close my eyes! So, go on with playing around with these things!

    All the best

    Hansel

  • Dear Hansel,

    Thank you. Danke!

Yes, I am a child when it comes to buttons and knobs I can press and turn. Love it! I prefer to listen with closed eyes too...

    Greetings,

    Per-Olov

    Per-Olov

  • The dual video is awesome! And of course, your new piece!

  • Thanks!!

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • beautiful....as always

  • Hello Per-Olov. Thank you for the beautiful music and fantastic musicianship! May I ask what you use to support your guitar while playing? I recently tried Dynarette but it does not work well for me. Please advise, thanks! =)

  • Thank oyu.

I use a GITANO to support my guitar. Great little thingy.

    Google it.

    Per-Olov

  • my friend Per.. Glad to see you my friend. I wish I had the tecnique for your styles of music.. It would be wonderful. However i am only a rock guitarist.. If you and I can meet some day i would love to do a stairway to heaven or nothing else matters jam with you.. It would be an hour to play music with you my friend.

Have you talked to Marie Lineman lately? How's she doing? Hope she is in good health and also making music. I Enjoy your music my friend I'll keep listening :)

  • Ciao my friend.

Mille grazie. Maria Linnemann is doing well thank you. Haven't talked to her since Christmas though.

    All the best,

    Per-Olov

  • Fantastic! and the 2 cameras re inforce how I tell my daughter ( who is 9 and learning guitar ) how important the strum/picking is to to the chord/note hand.

  • Thanks. Yes, the sound is made by the millisecond you pluck the string. It's a crucial moment. Takes years to master but it's worth it. There is no better feeling than when you hit the string in the perfect way!

Say hello to your daughter from me.

    Per-Olov

  • Sounding great Per,very nice composition and execution of course,I don't like the word "As usual" because every moment is unique and people shouldn't take anything for granted, every should come as a surprise and this piece isn't no accept ion, great playing, greetings Vic.

  • Thanks Vic!

:-) Yeah, you are right. As always. :-)

    Have a perfect day.

    Per

  • WOW THAT'S BEAUTIFUL!!! WONDERFUL!!!

    HUGS FOR MARIE TOO!!

KEEP IT UP PER! YOU'RE JUST THE KING OF MUSIC ^_^

I appreciate that. I'll pass the hug on to Marie.

    Per-Olov

    All the best,

    Per-Olov

  • Wow...what a beautiful piece....

You have such a great tone.

  • Thank you.

    Per-Olov

  • using two cameras, great idea! I hope every body would appreciate it!

  • Thanks. it looks as if everyone likes it...

    Per-Olov

  • Beautiful piece. Use two camera's; as long as you don't hire dancers for your videos your music is too intoxicating to let our minds wander.

  • :-) No dancers! I promise. THAT would take all the focus from little me. :-)

    Per-Olov

  • I would say that you released that it too soon, it should be called 'May' :)

....I think it is your first video when you showed us your PIMAs doing the magic in close up! :) Bravo. Very simple & beautiful melody. Keep playing for us.

  • Hi again. I already composed May... :-) Sorry... LOL

    Per-Olov

  • Votre jeu a quelque chose d'envoûtant. Bravo l'artiste.

  • Merci!!

    Per-Olov

  • Hi Per! I am glad you liked the idea. This last piece is really inspired. I have not heard from Jolina for a long time. I miss her too. I suppose and hope she is having a great time with music and other things... - A.

  • Please, Let the circle be unbroken !

My very best regards to you PO and thanks for all good Music !

Life ends, Music is eternal !

    Peace !

    Urban

  • Hi Urban,

Thank you. Did you know my guitar comes from Göteborg? Beautiful instrument.

    Per-Olov

  • The two different 'views' really enhance your performance, not detract. Great idea and another fine performance......Pamela

  • Thank you Pamela, Appreciate your input and for listening.

    Per-olov

  • Oh and the two cameras are a good idea ! Its shows better your play. ;)

  • Sooo melancholic! You are just borned to play guitar!! Super!

    Luke

  • Thanks Luke,

I haven't done anything else since I was 7 so you might be right... :-)

    Per-Olov

  • Comment removed

  • Ha! I'll use all your ideas for my next pieces,OK?

Circles in this sense means that life goes in circles all the time... not the geometric figure...

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • This brings peace to my heart!

I think the world need more of this, so it will be more peaceful :)

Continue your beatiful playing and composing! :)

  • @Battleboerre

Thank you for your kind words!! Appreciated.

    Per-Olov

  • Dear sir,

I listen to your music, but the editing does add a depth should I be looking. Nevertheless, before the editing, watching you emote as your heart seems to dance within the music you create calms and leaves me with a satisfied feeling. Some folks just play music (example: Shunga Jung), you, sir, FEEL the music. Be this not true, please leave me to my illusion for it makes all the difference between a performer and an artist.

My thanks for the many hours of pleasure.

    J C Tate

  • Hi there J C.

I alwaystry to express my feelings when Iplay and compose. The notes in themselves are not telling anything! They are just black dots. It's the story that is interesting. I hope i didn't ruin your illusion. :-)

    Thank you!

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo No broken illusions here. Art is what makes black dots DANCE!

  • @AndanteLargo - No broken illusions here. Art is what makes black dots DANCE!

@Cadbury102 & @jdedesus6 - Oh! I love Shunga Jung's works! I hope he developes into a composer! Just as I enjoy Miri @Pianistmiri, Igor Presnyakov @Iggypress, etc. Was not being disingenuous to Shunga, just using him as an example of the emote factor referenced. RELAX!

  • @jctate2 You have to remember that Sungha is only about 15. Perhaps has not had enough time to fully appreciate the emotion behind the music, but you should in no way be belittling the accomplishment that Sungha has acquired already in his young life. In 40 years, I am certain that people will routinely cite him as one of the best guitarists ever.

  • Comment removed

  • @jctate2 dude sungha jung is like 12 years old....this guy is 54...give the kid a break. hes on his way, thats for sure.

  • Heartbreaking....

  • Wonderful performance.! I like the second camera placement. We can see the fingerwork. We can always replay it to focus more fully on the audio.

    Cheers. Steve.

  • Thanks for the comment Steve!

    Per-Olov

  • Bravo maestro¡¡¡

this go to my favorite playlist =)¡

  • Happy to see a new song here :) I LOVE areppegio... and you use it so well in not only this song but a few of your others too. Somehow they always end up being my favorites. Tell us, please, what is the story behind the title? Is there one? This lady knows a lot about circles. Glad you are back! Glad that big fat green lines were added on your visit! *HUGS*

  • Dear Amy,

Thank you for your comment. Hope you are well! We had a great time together. As always.

The Circle title was Marie's idea. (as always). It refers to the music/arpeggio and I think of it also as life going in circles too.

    Have a GREEN day!

    Per

  • Music is the soul of the Сomposer.

You write music, and we read (listen, see, feel ,experience...) music.

Thank you for your beautiful Music...

  • ... and thank you for listening to me. I am so happy you like it, my friend.

    All the best,

    Per-Olov

  • Welcome back in Europe, Per! Wonderful playing again. Thanks for the beauty of your music!

    Regards, Wilfried

  • Hallo Wilfried!

Nice to see a comment from you. I am so happy to know you are still around. Any new uke videos on the way?

    Per

  • wow u sound great, what strings do u use

  • Thanks. Please read the information under the video. Or go to my web site for all information on guitar and strings.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • awesome piece as always

  • Thank you, as always.

    Per-Olov

  • Absolutely beautiful! It flows with a delicate, almost fragile expressiveness that Marie seems exceptionally good at bringing out of you. I think you should keep her. LOL

I was already going to comment on the videography and the dual cameras, and I see you mentioned it. I love it! It gives the video a very professional look, and your editing is applying our focus in the right ways at the right times to, IMHO, enhance the enjoyment of your music. Very well done.

    M o o s i e :-)

  • Thanks M o o s i e

WOW. I am happy you think my dual cameras enhanced the music. Good to know. Thanks.

I hope Marie will keep ME! I'm old and self occupied :-) Bad features. :-)

    S e e y o u !

    Per-Olov

  • very nice as always, question?how do you travel with your guitar do you buy it a seat or put it in overhead or luggage? just wondering because I got the same case and want to know how to best get it on a plane in the future :)

  • Hi. Thanks.

I always carry it as carry on. I am worried the day the flight attendant says no... until now, it never happened. Cross my fingers, hope to fly. :-)

If they refuse, please remember to slacken the strings before they load it!! Very important.

    Per-Olov

  • wow..what a lovely piece!
