  • nice sailing. Do you know about purchasing new sails for these boats? is there a seller

  • @UncleCopious Where are you based? Any sailmaker should be able to make you training sails.. normally made of a heavier cloth, last longer. Downside of this is that they will not be race legal.. Only sails made be the licensed distributor are.. In the Uk that is "Sailboats UK", I am not sure about the US situation. Sailboats UK can post in th EU too I think.....

  • That is great footage! Looks more like 10 knots to me--maybe 11. The Laser II is one I never sailed but did admire. There were enough of them in Newport this summer to qualify for the Coastal Living regatta.

  • your planing!

  • nice boat i was racing in a hobie 405 against a laser 2 last week.there similar boats except the 405 has an option of a symetrical spiny or an asametrical with the asametrical it easily beats a laser 2 though.we were going about 18 knots it was amazing

  • A Laser II won't do 15 knots.

  • @zkenzo ive clocked mine at 16.5 kts.

  • @zkenzo you know this how? are u the laser 2 critic of the year? I have done 15 fact

  • that spin is sooo undersized

  • it may not be 15 - but way more than 8

  • looks like 15 at least to me

  • 8 or 9 knots sounds about right, the Laser 2 is capable of that with good steady winds and little to no waves.

  • hi napoleon these are 8 knots there are very, very fast

  • if these are 8 knots, I'm Napoleon!
