Best of luck to you Graeme,,, I'm just a driver,, never had the desire to own,,, The dropdeck was a good move I think,,, you'd be doing at least as well as with the Bdouble,, with all the over height and width you are doing,,, and 1/2 to 2/3 of the running costs
@TARBABY71 Your on the money, but am getting sick of the bullshit you got go through I seem to be a magnet for the heavies in WA, last pull up they had cops waiting for me.I knew I was going to get a ticket before I stopped the truck ! 2 heavies and 2 cops After 10 minutes of looking they put a yellow sticker on me for an oil leak and a cracked windscreen hung shit on me Then laughed at my chances of being back in WA with in the 10 days to clear it . sorry for the soap box thanx OZ
@miniv8 With the A trailer I would end up about 2 metres overlength.
Australin law makers seem to think that doing a u turn is more important than the comfort of the driver so to run a 34 pallet b-double you have to have a small bunk with a short wheel base or a coe truck.
sweet vid mate. im heading over to melbourne in about 2 months from nz hoping to get some driving work interstate would b awesome ive got my class 5 nz which is the same as ur guys HC ill have to do my MC when im over there hopefully i can score a job where the boss pays for it haha
@mickthegodofallevil I am a truckie from OZ living in the UK. I was in Ireland first where I was able to transfer my aussie licence for an Irish one. I used that for 12 months in the UK, then tried to transfer the Irish licence for a UK one, did the medical. all the bullshit, only to be told they would give me a class b only because I did my driving test in Australia. So now I have to do a driving test in the UK. I have a good boss here and he has given me a job shunting until I get my C+E
Some interesting photos you got there mate. Did you know the bloke that hit the camels? I drove past a few hours later, truck was still there, I think the guy was in the bunk waiting for a tow.
Looks like you do a bit in the top end, have we crossed paths?
Love to be an owner driver but its virtualy impossible in the UK, Fair play to 23Block23 for getting out this overcrowded island, and fairplay to you mate, might be me 1 day!!!
nice video mate, and u aussies think u got it bad with the fuel prices down under! £1.30+ per l here in the UK, this country sucks. cant wait to get out there in december!!!!
Great video, you're an Aussie hero... Without you, many would be out of work. The sooner everyone realises it, the better. Not that Rudd's doni his bit with ridiculous fuel prices...
enjoyed your video, I just turned 40 & seriously needing a career change. Plan is to get my HR license do that for a year then move up to HC.

I know a Canadian fella he had to redo his b-double/roadtrain licence, but I think they recognised his licence for one trailered truck.
Good luck Oz
