  • what is it with these YT clips...it seems to be the case that the older the synth is, the worse it seems to be played.

  • Damn too late.. If PaulEGone hadn't told you that by now then I would have said it's a dud and it's gonna crap on you soon, so I'll buy it off you for $50. Oh, well... :P

  • Octave-divided synthesizer. Same envelope is used for each voice. That is the reason the envelope sounds dull after the initial note. Using more cutoff may compensate for the lack of separate envelope generators for each of the 7 voices

  • Thanks for the demo. The SK20 I bought on ebay arrived yesterday. Loving it, a REALLY unique, cool sound. I have a question for you, though. I noticed that the first note in the synth section "steals" the envelope generator, so if you hold down the first and start playing more notes, the added notes sound duller as the first note decays. More noticeable when you set up a bright, short attack & long decay. Does yours do that, too? Wondering if I got a dud needing service. Thanks for any input.

  • @PaulEGone You've probably figured this by now since you've had your SK20 for about a month now, but every SK20 has this issue where the first note steals the envelope generator. Mine does this too.

  • Nice synth this. Quite well priced on the second hand market as well ........ which means I might have to get one at some point! :-)
