Scotty from Canada...Wow what a tune. Corky's snare drum sounds like a 303 rifle. The whole song is pure Power - the musicians giving it all they've got. Hey Folks - be sure to catch the extended version live at the Fillmore. Cheers
@cooltooth112 The balance of her mind was disturbed, I'm so glad that I don't have to walk in her shoes, she loved the guy. We had tickets to see Mountain on the tour that was cancelled because of it, such a terrible shame.
I can remember the first time I heard this song, 1970 on the pier at Bradenton, FL, it was coming out of some "hippie's" van, thought, "now there's a song"
Todays commercial radio has killed classic rock.... playing the same songs over and over again giving very little insight at all to what music of this era was really like!
If it weren't for Dennis Miller's radio show I doubt I would have ever discovered this excellent song.
The classic hard rock music radio stations play the same songs over and over that they were playing over and over 10 years ago. Nothing obscure like this.
@HonkIfYouLoveHonking yeah seems like classic hard rock stations have like the same limited set of songs they play. it wasnt till youtube that i found all this great shit. and i been a classic rock fan since i can remember. even this wasnt played on the radio in the 70s. wtf? corporate radio just doesnt have room for true talent. only for the almighty dollar.
@cydonianman I agree. I could probably list 100s of songs that are never (or hardly ever) heard on the radio. The only radio show that sometimes plays songs you never hear elsewhere is Alice Cooper's radio show. Unfortunately it's not on in my area anymore so I have to listen on the internet.
Here's just a few of the songs I love and never (or almost never) hear on the so-called classic rock stations.
No More No More- Aerosmith, Ballad of Dwight Fry- A Cooper, Wild Fire Woman-Bad Co., Rock and Roll Woman-Buf Springfld, Sweet Hitch Hiker-CCR, Another Park Another Sunday- Doobie Bros, Say What You Will - Fastway, Bare Trees-Fleetwood Mac, Tarraplane Blues-Foghat, Can You Do It-Grand Funk Railroad, Love Alive-Heart, The Bomber-James Gang, Do You Know What I Mean-L.Micheals+manymore
I see who influenced Chris Cornell

Have this album in vinyl. All I need now is a turntable, though I played it so often I wonder if it's still audible

Damn this band was good! I seem to remember Leslie West was negotiating to work with Skynyrd before the accident.
