No-
1.) A dog shit computer will run it like just that... dog shit.
2.) A dog shit computer won't have HDMI output, and most likely not even DVI.
3.) Even with DVI, you would have to switch over your TV to "PC mode" which takes away from the image and gives it less options.
4.) Any time you have to hook less up to your setup it's a convenience. Less shit, or "dog shit" sitting around your entertainment area.
... anything else? Because your lack of sense is getting amusing.

Being able to run the games at a non-smoothed/upscaled 1080p on a High Deifnition television with seemless animation using your DualShock 3, and all with the convenience of using a gaming console who's sole purpose isn't to do that at ALL... that's what's "particularly impressive".
Grow up, and get a better hobby than hating on youtube videos.
