Ampeg has an amazing ability to smack you with shart lows and crisp highs. Sometimes you just have to spend the money to be on the money . CHEERS!!!

I just pluck the strings at a different angle to avoid hitting the pickups. I pluck parallel to the body, so that the strings don't really move toward or away from the pickups. That rig is the tits.

That is amazing tone on that amp and bass. Really ballsy is the way to describe it I guess. If you guys want to get that tone, look into the EMG BQC System. I have one on my P Bass with the EMG-P along with an EMG MusicMan pickup in the bridge. I can produce almost any sound with that bass. Definitely saves money on an American.

"Dream setup".. I would say that the Ampeg SVT CL/8x10 is the only rig anyone who claims that they are bass players should ever want to play....ever. Solid state sucks, everyone knows that the Classic is the best amp in the world.

I used to have one of those American Deluxe P Basses back when I played bass. Those things are a dream, and when in comparison with same level Gibsons and Rickenbackers, not too shabby on price either. Nice amp too.
