Normally when epidermal tissue dies, it migrates toward the skin surface and sloughs off. However, when such a cavity forms, the dead epithelial tissue has nowhere to go because it is confined within the lumen of the cyst. So dead tissue debris and fluid continue to collect in this cavity until it is surgically removed or continually expressed.

@Robearthegmodmaker It's not painful. The liquid in the needle freezes the area imidiately, but sometimes you do need more than one injection for it to cover the whole area. So bascialy, the only thing you feel is the needle at the begining or the scapel for a little bit if you don't have enough of the freezing stuff.
