  • lol a baron 58 stall horn does really come on quick!!

  • @AxaPilot4life I guess that's better than the alternative

  • is this a Baron 58?

  • nice baron. scary horn though !

  • Sometimes flying some of the Islands in a Baron, you need to fly the approach at its Single Engine Minimum control speed, but as you approach the fence you bring the power back just enough to get some ground effect and keep the speed slowing down with some power and right into the stall warning prior to touchdown. Want a firm touchdown for speed rapid dissipation. It takes practice knowing the aircraft, some finesse. All this of course the winds have to steady and no gusts'.

  • My friend has a Baron and its awesome

  • Man, the number times I've heard stall horns prior to flare = 0, little disconcerting prior to flare, but you managed well. Gorgeous airplane - love the Baron - but when you're the one paying for fuel, ouch :)

  • @schnitzel2k3 Yeah you definitely don't want the stall horn chirping at 20 ft. Definitely a bit slow. Nice plane though!

  • those engine are SWEET. Do you know the fuel burn? probably 70gph on takeoff.

  • This is a 56TCBaron. Only 94 were built. this is probably a 1968 model. At the time it was Beechcraft's fastest airplane.

  • rboyes55 THIS IS A 56TC BARON. ONLY 94 WERE BUILT. THIS IS PROBABLY A 1968 MODEL. AT THE TIME IT WAS BEECH'S FASTEST AIRPLANE.
