@apebyen Thanks! :) I just think he is more dark and evil and IN the role than what Terje Formoe was. Terje Formoe gives me this ''children's actor'' feeling, which is logical of course thinking that Sabeltann is meant for children. So I guess the way Svein Roger acts Sabeltann also gives the more mature feeling to it? Who knows.

I guess I was about 16 in this video?

I have to say that this is was surprisingly well done! I can see that you like Svein Roger Karlsens acting, it radiates from this video. You're talented! I am 22 years old myself and have grown up loving Terje Formoe, but all have their own tastes. I just feel that Terje sings better, but I also like Svein Roger Karlsens version. He is funny and a great actor, I guess I just get nostalgic when I see Terje. He acted live this summer for the last time, and Svein is done too... :(

@Sabeltannfan Thank you very much! :) But damn, I didn't know until now that Svein is done with the role now too? :( I went to see the show finally this year and was sad to notice Terje was acting Sabeltann this year, and it seems I won't get to see him act as Sabeltann anymore. Oh well. Will be interesting to see who gets to be the next Sabeltann.

@KingKaarle Yes, it will be very interesting. So you hadn't seen the show before? Then you chose the wrong year, unfortunately. I loved to see Terje Formoes comeback, he is amazing and feels more real when he acts, for my taste. It's been 10 years since he did the role. But of course some prefer it the other way. Svein Roger will have a different role next year in the totally new production called "Kaptein Sabeltann og havets hemmelighet". And they announce next year who's the new Captain.

And I have to disagree with you, since I didn't live my childhood with Terje as Sabeltann, I've just found Sabeltann this year. I prefer manly men, and Svein Roger is that, and he's also way more scarier as Sabeltann than Terje is.

Now, I still don't insult he is bad, he is wonderful as Sabeltann too, but I just like Svein more.

Terje looks more gay than Svein to me. I don't mean Terje is gay, but if I had to choose then I'd say he looks more gay than Svein. Svein has way more deeper and therefore manlier voice too.

And sorry, I like all the movies with Svein Roger better than the original ones. Sure, Grusomme Gabriel was scarier in the original movie, I give you that, but my opinion is and stays like this: I prefer Svein Roger, you prefer Terje. We don't have to start a war from that, right?

Svein Roger Karlsen var den beste til å erstatte Terje Formoe ettersom Terje Formoe ikke kunne fortsette som Sabeltann for alltid! Svein Roger Karlsen er en bedre skuespiller med større tilstedeværelse på scenen og har tatt Sabeltanns rolle til noe bedre! Det er det som er bra med forskjellen mellom Terje og Svein, at de kan tilføre rollen noe forskjellig. Men du, lille barnslige feilskriver, kan ikke noe om skuespill og vet ikke hva det vil si å gjøre en rolle til sin egen!

And I happen to like Svein Roger's double chin. It's pretty charmy and fits for him.

I suggest you to try to understand that Terje couldn't possibly act as Sabeltann forever, and that he and Svein have different ways of acting him because they are not clones. Some like Terje best, some don't. Arguing childisly over about it isn't too wise 'cause everyone has their own opinions
